Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of tax understanding, service facilities, and tax morale on the compliance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) taxpayers. Understanding the factors influencing compliance is crucial for improving tax revenue and promoting responsible business practices. A quantitative research approach was employed, with data collected from micro-scale MSME taxpayers through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine both the individual and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on taxpayer compliance. The results indicate that tax understanding, service facilities, and tax morale each have a positive and significant impact on MSME taxpayer compliance. Collectively, these factors contribute substantially to compliance behavior, highlighting the importance of integrating knowledge, accessible services, and ethical awareness in tax management. The findings imply that enhancing taxpayer education, improving the quality of service facilities, and fostering moral awareness among taxpayers can effectively increase compliance levels. These insights provide valuable guidance for policymakers and tax authorities aiming to optimize voluntary tax compliance in the MSME sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of student management in improving the performance of the Student Council as a school-based organization. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed to obtain an in-depth understanding of planning, implementation, training, supervision, and evaluation practices in student organizational development. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation, involving school leaders, student affairs personnel, organization supervisors, and student representatives. The findings reveal that student management contributes positively to organizational performance through structured planning, systematic selection, leadership training, mentoring, discipline formation, and continuous evaluation. The implementation of leadership programs and regular coaching encourages students to develop responsibility, cooperation, commitment, and organizational skills. However, several challenges remain, including limited student independence, uneven participation, and the need for stronger coordination between academic and organizational activities. The study implies that effective student management should not only regulate student administration but also function as a strategic instrument for strengthening leadership, character, and participatory organizational culture.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of social pressure, product features, and brand image on brand switching from Android to iPhone among Generation Z consumers, with attitude serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method. Data were collected from 362 Generation Z university students who had previously used Android smartphones. The respondents were selected through purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that social pressure, product features, and brand image have positive and significant effects on attitude. Furthermore, attitude has a positive and significant effect on brand switching from Android to iPhone. The mediation analysis reveals that attitude significantly mediates the relationships between social pressure, product features, and brand image with brand switching. These findings contribute to the consumer behavior literature by providing a deeper understanding of the factors influencing brand-switching decisions in the smartphone industry. The study also offers practical insights for smartphone marketers in developing strategies that strengthen consumer attitudes and enhance brand attractiveness to encourage switching behavior among Generation Z consumers.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Gemini AI-assisted learning in improving students’ understanding of Akidah Akhlak, particularly regarding social media ethics. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The participants consisted of 28 eighth-grade students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using an essay test instrument that met validity and reliability requirements, with a Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient of 0.745. Data analysis included the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, homogeneity test, paired-sample t-test, and effect size calculation. The findings indicated that the data met the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. The paired-sample t-test revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05), demonstrating a substantial improvement in students’ understanding after the implementation of Gemini AI-assisted learning. Furthermore, the effect size analysis produced a Cohen’s d value of 7.336, indicating a very large effect. These findings suggest that Gemini AI-assisted learning is highly effective in enhancing students’ understanding of social media ethics in Akidah Akhlak and highlight the potential of AI-based technologies as innovative pedagogical tools that can support more interactive, adaptive, and meaningful learning experiences in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of madrasah principal supervision in improving teacher discipline based on findings from previous studies. A literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach was employed. The data consisted of 16 scholarly articles related to madrasah principal supervision, educational supervision, leadership, teacher discipline, and teacher performance. Data were analyzed using thematic synthesis by categorizing findings into four themes: supervision practices, the impact of supervision on teacher discipline, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors. The results indicate that effective supervision is implemented through academic supervision, attendance monitoring, performance evaluation, coaching, communication, role modeling, and the application of reward and punishment systems. Supervision that is systematic, consistent, communicative, and supported by clear follow-up actions contributes significantly to improving teacher discipline. Supporting factors include communicative leadership, clear disciplinary regulations, continuous coaching, motivation, adequate facilities, and exemplary behavior from the principal. In contrast, limited time, insufficient facilities, weak follow-up, low teacher awareness, and resistance to evaluation hinder supervision effectiveness. The findings imply that madrasah principal supervision should be conducted in a collaborative, continuous, and supportive manner to foster a disciplined work culture and strengthen teacher professionalism.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in developing students’ intellectual-based character and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing the character formation process. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through qualitative research procedures and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The findings reveal that Aqidah Akhlak teachers play several essential roles in intellectual-based character development, namely as role models (*uswatun hasanah*), character and moral builders, mentors and guides, educators in the digital era, and facilitators of learning through habituation practices. Intellectual-based character formation is implemented through positive daily habits, exemplary behavior, and discussion and question-and-answer methods that encourage students’ critical thinking skills. Supporting factors include teachers’ exemplary conduct and a religious and conducive school environment. Meanwhile, the main inhibiting factors are students’ lack of discipline, negative peer influences outside school, and insufficient supervision from parents and teachers. The study implies that strengthening teachers’ educational roles and fostering collaboration among schools, families, and communities are essential for promoting sustainable intellectual and moral character development among students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of student management in enhancing student discipline across various educational settings. A literature review method was employed by analyzing and synthesizing findings from 15 recent scholarly articles related to student management and disciplinary practices, with a focus on identifying key management strategies, supporting factors, and challenges influencing the development of student discipline. The findings indicate that effective student management contributes significantly to improving discipline through structured planning, student participation, orientation programs, and engagement in extracurricular activities. The study also reveals that leadership, positive role models, supportive school culture, and parental involvement are critical factors in fostering disciplined behavior. However, limited resources, diverse student backgrounds, and low levels of student participation may reduce the effectiveness of discipline-related initiatives. The implications of this study suggest that educational institutions should adopt a multidimensional approach that integrates clear regulations, active student involvement, and continuous monitoring to strengthen both behavioral and academic outcomes. Furthermore, enhancing student engagement in governance and decision-making processes may support the sustainability of disciplinary improvements. Future studies are encouraged to conduct comparative analyses across educational contexts and explore innovative strategies for increasing student participation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the instructional leadership strategies employed by school principals in managing learning programs during the transition from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum. A qualitative case study approach was used to explore leadership practices in depth. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the principal, the vice principal for curriculum affairs, and subject teachers. Informants were selected using snowball sampling, while data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that the principal implemented three key instructional leadership strategies based on Hallinger’s model: establishing and communicating clear school goals, managing curriculum implementation effectively, and fostering a positive school climate. These strategies helped maintain the stability of instructional quality throughout the curriculum transition process. In addition, the implementation of these strategies was associated with a significant increase in student admissions through the National Achievement-Based Selection pathway, rising from 9 to 36 students. The study implies that effective instructional leadership plays a crucial role in supporting curriculum change, reducing implementation challenges, and sustaining educational quality during periods of policy transition. School leaders are therefore encouraged to strengthen strategic planning, curriculum management, and collaborative school cultures to ensure successful curriculum implementation.
