Abstract

The most significant environmental threats today are global warming and climate change. The effects of climate change include water and food scarcity, disease, unemployment, migration, poverty, resource conflicts, and global instability. This study examines the role of climate change in Afghanistan’s geopolitical power. This study employs a descriptive-analytical approach and a survey method. The statistical research community includes experts and specialists in geopolitics, political science, climate science, and university professors. The questionnaire was distributed among them based on indicators related to climate change, development, and geopolitics. 80 questionnaires were collected. Based on these findings, a significant and inverse relationship exists between the impacts of climate change and development. Furthermore, the reduction in the development process has a significant and negative impact on Afghanistan’s geopolitical power. Finally, the reduction in development affects the change. Climate plays a mediating role in geopolitics. Then, the priority of parameters influencing climate change in geopolitics was discussed using Friedman’s comparison test. These parameters include 1) poverty and social anomalies, drought, and migration. In the suggestions section, it is emphasized that there is a need to implement effective methods, such as irrigation and the use of clean energy, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

Abstract

In many parts of the world self-medication is a popular practice to treat some common minor diseases in order to save time and money without realizing side effects of self-medication for the patients. We know ‘Over The Counter’ (OTC) drugs are meant for self-medications but their wrong use due to lack of knowledge about medicines can have grave side-effects on patients. In Kashmir the growth in self-medications in Kashmir can be attributed to urge to self-care, feeling of sympathy towards ill family members, deficiency of health services, economic condition, unawareness and easy availability of drugs in medical shops. To treat minor common diseases like fever, cold, cough, diarrhoea etc patients acquire expert advices from family members, neighbours or strangers about medications. Majority of people do not take their illness seriously or avoid Doctor because of busy life, ignoring side effects of self-medication. In Kashmir, it is a common practice in homes to use antibiotics like Co-Amoxyclav 625 and Azithromycin for treating common cold and sharing of prescriptions within the family, using the left over medications for somewhat related symptoms is quite a popular practice. In the present study carried out in Kashmir valley, a survey of the study area was carried out and discussions were held with the elders as well as with medical practitioners. A well-designed validated questionnaire was used to collect the information from 400 youth selected at random from Kashmir on their consent. The data collected from survey was statistically analysed using standard statistical methods. The study revealed that majority of respondents were taking medicine without consulting a Doctor to treat minor ailments. Statistically, it was observed that there was a significant difference in the attitude of male and female respondents towards self medication (P<0.01). The discussion with respondents revealed that they were interested in knowing Islamic ruling about self-medication as in the present world due to lack of patience youth take medicine because of depression and anxiety. Islam allows modern treatment of many diseases like infertility provided it is not against the teaching of Islam and guidance of holy Prophet. Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) taught Muslims to pray more in tough times for attaining peace of mind, relief from pain, anxiety and worries. Finally, it was suggested that everyone should avoid self-medication as much as possible and Government should play its role to avoid the selling of banned medicines on medical shops without Doctors prescription

Abstract

This research explores the evolving debates on Prophetic Sīrah discourse within pluralistic societies, addressing the critical need for a comprehensive understanding among Muslims. Recognizing the fragmented nature of previous works, which often focus on isolated aspects of the Sīrah, this study aims to provide an integrated analysis relevant to contemporary multicultural settings. Employing a qualitative, library-based methodology, the research utilizes primary sources such as the Qur'an, Hadīth collections, and classical Sīrah texts, alongside modern commentaries. Through thematic and contextual analyses, key concepts like interfaith relations, social justice, and ethical conduct are identified and examined. Critical discourse analysis (CDA) is applied to understand how Sīrah discourse is constructed and communicated across different contexts. The study reveals significant gaps in the current understanding and application of the Prophetic Sīrah, particularly regarding its relevance for Muslim minorities in pluralistic societies. It emphasizes the importance of defining key terminologies and developing an interpretive framework that aligns with the minority context. The findings underscore the urgent need to reframe the Prophetic Sīrah from a pluralistic perspective to foster peaceful coexistence and mutual respect. The study concludes by attempting to bridge the gap between traditional Islamic teachings and modern pluralistic principles, encouraging a more inclusive and peaceful community.

Abstract

Government officials are responsible to the people because they are paid for their services by the fund of the country which is collected from people. They got extra facilities as the government officials but people see them as the oppressors while taking public services. Their offensive behavior hurts the common people who do not have extra money paid for services. This study attempts to make the people aware, conscious, responsible, accountable, and transparent to government officials. The study titled "Uncovering the Chain of Corruption: A Case Study in Bangladesh" delves into the intricate web of corruption within Bangladesh, highlighting systemic issues and identifying key actors involved. This research adopts a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both qualitative interviews and quantitative data analysis, to provide a comprehensive examination of corruption at various levels of governance and society. Findings reveal that corruption in Bangladesh is deeply entrenched, facilitated by a nexus of political patronage, bureaucratic inefficiencies, and socio-economic disparities. The case study uncovers how corruption manifests in public procurement, law enforcement, and the judiciary, perpetuating a cycle of impunity and public mistrust which is conducted at Bangladesh Road Transport Authority in Rajshahi Zone. Furthermore, the study explores the socio-cultural dimensions that normalize corrupt practices and examines the role of international aid and non-governmental organizations in both exacerbating and combating corruption. Recommendations emphasize the need for robust legal frameworks, greater transparency, and public accountability mechanisms, alongside fostering a culture of integrity and ethical governance. This study contributes to the broader discourse on anti-corruption strategies, offering insights that are crucial for policymakers, stakeholders, and scholars aiming to address corruption in developing countries.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the idea of divinity in eastern religions, including Taoism, Hinduism, and so on, and then find commonalities between these religions and this notion. This essay seeks to understand why Eastern traditions deviated from the worship of God and how their conception of divinity came to be. This research is significant because it sheds light on the prevalent beliefs in China and India, which include the worship of ancestors who are fathers and grandfathers, the sanctification of natural forces, the belief in the plurality of deities, and the practice of spiritual worship to achieve the state of union with God. The purpose of this study is to provide answers to the following questions: Is the eastern conception of divinity unified? The research relied on the mother of all texts of eastern beliefs, the Tao, and employed both the inductive and the deductive methods. The study's most significant conclusions are that belief in the monotheistic concept of deity is not the foundation of the ethical and philosophical eastern religions that are most prevalent in China and India. The study also revealed that Eastern beliefs met a plurality of gods, and that people gradually went through stages in their quest to find the god who best suited their needs. They also practiced magic, sorcery, astrology, and other forms of polytheism, as well as worshiping the forces of nature, totems, and humans.
