Abstract

Abstract: Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap idiologi dan tujuan dari pengiklan. Motode analisis yang digunakan dalam analisis ini yaitu menggunakan model analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough yang melihat teks (iklan) berdasarkan tiga dimensi, yaitu teks (teks), praktik teks (discourse practice) dan praktik sosiokultural (sociocultural practice). Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis kebahasaan pada iklan banyak menggunakan identitas-identitas tertentu, seperti identitas milenials dan India. Milenials diwakili dengan kata komiters, gue, letsgo, sedangkan India diwakili dengan kata “aca-aca” dan “tekstur” untuk menggambarkan makanan India yang lain daripada yang lain. Eufimisme juga mucul ketika iklan menggunakan kata “kita” yang menunjukkan kesejajaran antara pengiklan dan pembaca. Tidak menunjukkan otoritasnya sebagai pengiklan. Berdasarkan analisis praktik teks dari sisi produksi dan konsumsi, pengiklan tahu betul kebutuhan para penumpang KRL, khususnya Masyarakat Bogor dengan kebiasaan cuaca dingin sehingga disuguhkan makanan yang pedas untuk menghangat suhu tubuh. Sasaran pengiklan pun sangat jelas yaitu kaum milenials. Pengiklan menyampaikan pesan dengan sangat sederhana dan informal serta diperkuat dengan penggunaan aksesoris ciri khas negara asal makanan tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis praktik sosiokultural, pengiklan sudah mengidentifikasi pola hidup masyarakat Indonesia saat ini, yaitu konsumtif dan modernitas sehingga disuguhkan pilihan makanan yang menunjukkan kelas tertentu. Faktor kebahagiaan dalam menjalani hidup juga ditawarkan dalam iklan. Menghibur diri tidak hanya sekadar berwisata di tempat-tempat yang indah, tetapi dapat juga dilakukan dengan mencoba berbagai macam jenis makanan dari berbagai negara. Pengiklan mengarah pada sebuah institusi tertentu, yaitu kalangan kelas menengah, tetapi memunculkan kesan kelas atas. Gaya hidup konsumtif menjadi dasar pengiklan untuk menyuguhkan jenis makanan yang lain dari biasanya.Keywords: Wacana Kritis Fairclough, iklan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the variation of the greeting words used by Arabians in Surakarta. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research is the speech language used by the Arab ethnic community in Kecamatan Pasar Kliwon, Surakarta by searching for linguistic features on the variation of the word greeting. Sources of data were obtained from informants who were Arabs in Surakarta. Technique of data analysis using technique of padan. Based on analysis results can be concluded that the variation of Arabic greeting of Arabian community in Surakarta has its own peculiarities. Such distinctiveness is indicated through the greetings associated with pronouns, kinship, social status, and professions used by Arabs more still influenced by the Arabic element. Nevertheless, some of the greetings have shifted in Indonesian and Javanese.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study namely, to determine the ability to read students'understanding using Cooperative Integrated Reading learning, while the method used in this studyis descriptive qualitative. The techniques for collecting data are collecting answer sheets whichinclude: 1) finding the main idea (main idea or theme) in the discourse / text, 2) restating thecontents of the discourse/text that has been read, and 3) developing the main idea / main idea orpictures. After conducting the research, the following results were obtained. The reading ability ofstudents, before using Cooperative Integrated Reading learning in the R2A class, was 2403 or 68%(bad), and after using Cooperative Integrated Reading learning, the students' abilities changed,namely 2.403 or 80% 9good), and the ability to read comprehension of students in class R2Bbefore using Cooperative Integrated Reading learning, namely 2.162 or 72% (low). After usingCooperative Integrated Reading, there was a change, namely 2,425 or 81% (baik). So, it is clearthat the ability to read students' understanding using Cooperative Integrated Reading learning isable to provide progress properly and precisely.Key Words: Reading Comprehension, Cooperative Integrated Reading, learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines how the women in this case Minister Susi are presented in the news text about the sinking of ships in Indonesian waters. Research was conducted on the 5 most popular online news sites in Indonesia. The analysis used is the critical discourse analysis of Sara's perspective, by analyzing 3 elements, namely the position of the subject-object, the position of the reader, and the position of the media. The results of this study indicate that, the position of the subject is the writer of the news and the object is Susi, because women in online news texts define their position and they can also present themselves and reinforced the author by displaying the ideas of the object. The position of the reader is the insertion of cultural codes, the reader will approve the ideas of the author on the orientation of values so that readers will place himself in the main character in the text. Media position on online news sites that provide positive images, namely detik.com, kompas.com and okezone.com. While those who reported neutrally were tribunnews.com and republika.co.id.

Abstract

This research was based on the view that literature is basically a reflection of society. So in this study, researchers used the approach to the sociology of literature. This paper aimed to describe (1) short story becomes one of the literary works that are used as teaching material in schools, (2) the aspect of characrter education based on the collection of short stories entitled Mata Yang Enak Dipandang by Ahmad Tohari, and (3) social problems collection of short stories entitled Mata Yang Enak Dipandang. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive explaining the data that has been found in research. The main data sources in this study the quotations contained in the novel and the results of interviews with literary experts and learning experts. The results of this study is the main characters in this short story are varied and its can be utilized in the study of literary appreciation for Class XI in Senior high school semester with the standard literary discourse understanding competence through reading poetry and short stories in the aspects of reading and basic competence that is analyzing the intrinsic elements of a short story linkages with everyday life

Abstract

Language variations that appear in a conversation because of their use are called registers. Registers are used in a particular community to identify and characterize a job or group. The register language in this particular group is usually not found in other communities or other groups. The research method used is literature study or documentation related to the object of study under study. Several documents that contain or explain about the life of cadets are used as data sources. This article describes the Military Academy cadet register which has a characteristic that is its language is short, concise, and firm. The Military Academy cadet register is concise and firm, marked by the many acronyms and abbreviations used in addition to other vocabulary in the form of words and phrases. The vocabulary in the form of words, phrases, acronyms, and abbreviations is a vocabulary that is only found in the cadet community during the four years of military education in the Tidar Valley.Keywords: Characteristics, language variation, language register.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the interest of researcherto find out how the personality of the main characterscontained in the trilogy of novel Negeri 5 Menara, Ranah 3 Warna, Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi with literature psychology study. This research uses descriptive qualitative method used to describe personality of main charactertrilogy in these novels. The results showed that the personality of the main character in the trilogy novel as many as 18 personalities.In the novelNegeri5 Menara as many as 5 personalitieswith two personalitiestypeconsist ofphlegmatis (tough, consistent, diligence, empathy) and type choleris(courage). In the novel Ranah 3 Warna as many as 7 personalitieswith two personalitiestype gepasioner(hardworker, strong, confident)and type phlegmatis(intelligent, simple, caring,tough). While, in the novel Rantau 1 Muara as many as 6 personalitieswith three personalities type consist ofphlegmatis(diligent, consistent, care, tough),gepasioner(hard worker) and choleris(courage).Thus, it can be concluded that tough personality is more dominant because the personality is presented in the trilogy novel. It indicates that the main characters havetough personality in studying especially reaching for dreams. This research is implemented in SMAN 11 Kota Tangerang Selatan and it can be concluded that the student understand in analyzing the personality of the main character in the trilogy novel by Ahmad Fuadi.

Abstract

Talking is one and the four skills in language that is productive and active Because of them that, a lot of foreign speakers have difficulty when first learning to speak in Indonesian one problem often encountered is the limited vocabulary that is owned by a foreign speaker Many instructional media offered to increase the amount of vocabulary for speakers Asung, one of which is the media images media images can increase 400% ability of foreign speakers in remembering vocabulary in the classroom, therefore, the authors developed a media joyful learning in the form of a comic comics is a combination of pictures and words capable of arouse and excite the foreign speakers to continue to learn to speak in a way that is fun this paper will describe a form of learning berbucara who could inspire and stimulate foreign speakers as well as fun in the classroom through the comic making it easier for foreign speakers achieve the goal of learning to speak.

Abstract

The many currents of foreign culture can fade the original culture of Indonesia. More specifically the culture of the Dayak tribe. The next generations have started to leave their original traditions and culture. Fairy tales are a culture that should be preserved, so that the longer it does not become extinct. This study aims to analyze the character values of the Dayak fairy tales on the island of Borneo. In addition, the research also describes the social value in the story. Dayak fairy tales can instill education in their descendents. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data is taken from a collection of fairy tales from Tanah Dayak, by Essau Albert Menggang. The results showed that the Dayak fairy tales contain character and social values that can be used as a forum and educational tool for today's young generation. The composition of the character values in the fairy tales from Tanah Dayak are 13% religius values, 9% hard work, 9% respect for others (social), 5% peace-loving, 13% independent, creative as much as 9%, caring as much as 37%, and discipline as much as 5%. From this analysis, it is necessary for the next generation to be able to use fairy tales as a means of education that comes from Indonesian culture.Keywords: Put 3-5 your keywords here; keywords separated by semicolon.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to describe translation ideology analysis of proper noun and todescribe the types of translation ideology which occur in the novel Pride and Prejudice. Themethod used in the research is a qualitative comparative approach by comparing the translation ofproper nouns in Source Language and Target Language. The results of the analysis show that thetranslator used foreignization ideology to transfer the meaning of the source text. The tendency isseen in the title of the text where the translator keeps the original title Pride and Prejudice insteadof transferring into Harga Diri dan Prasangka. The type of translation ideologies occur in thenovel are foreignization in which the translator stays faithful to the source language by preservingMr. Darcy into Mr. Darcy, and domestication in which the translator stays closer to the targetlanguage by transforming The Bennets into Keluarga Bennet.Key Words: Translation; Translation Ideology; Proper Noun; Novel
