Abstract

This study endeavors to delve into and grasp the challenges encountered in implementing the Village Economic Enterprise Community Empowerment Program (P2M-UEK) within the trade and plantation sectors in Pematang Pudu Village, Bengkalis Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through in-depth interviews and document review. The results indicate that the implementation of the program faces obstacles, including a significant number of loan repayment failures, competition from cooperatives and formal financial institutions, and insufficient outreach or socialization to the public. These challenges negatively affect the smooth circulation of revolving funds and contribute to the community’s limited comprehension and participation in the program. To address these issues, improvements are needed in communication strategies, institutional capacity, and managerial competence to ensure that the goals of community empowerment through the UEK initiative are fully realized.

Abstract

This type of research uses a quasi-experimental design research type with a Pre – test-Post- test Non-Equivqlent Graoups Design. The population in this study were all students in grade 4 of SDN 15 Sitiung, while the sample used was students in grade 4 A as a control class totaling 20 students and class 4 B as an experimental class totaling 17 students of SDN 15 Sitiung. In this study, the data were taken using purposive sampling technique, data collection technique using Pre – test-Post- test sheet test, then analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test through SPSS 25 at the 0.05 level. The results of the influence of the use of the Wordwall-assisted CTL model on student learning outcomes in the content of IPAS chapter 5 type A B and chapter 6 topic A class 4 SDN 15 Sitiung were declared valid. Based on the results of the analysis of test data from the hypothesis test, homogeneity and Paired sample T test with a significance level of 0.05 showed the sig. (2-tailed) is smaller than a or in the equation 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the analysis of the test data, it can be concluded that the Wordwall-assisted CTL model has a significant influence on student learning outcomes in the content of IPAS class 4 SDN 15 Sitiung.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited use of engaging and enjoyable learning media, particularly in the Science (IPAS) subject. The lack of visual aids such as images or illustrations makes learning less stimulating for students and impacts their understanding of the material. Therefore, there is a need for innovative and creative learning media, one of which is the creation of comics as a tool to enhance students' learning outcomes. This research is a type of research and development (R&D). The development model used is the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The trial was conducted with 4th-grade students at SD Negeri 01 Padang Laweh, using data collection techniques such as validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The validation results for the comic learning media showed a content (material and language) validation score of 96.42%, categorized as very valid, and a teaching module validation score of 84.37%, categorized as very valid. The practicality test conducted by educators and 4th-grade students resulted in a score of 93.97%, categorized as very practical. Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that in the learning process, teachers primarily use lecture methods and rely on Student Worksheets (LKS) and textbooks, without utilizing engaging learning media. This approach leads to students quickly becoming bored and drowsy during lessons. Moreover, boring learning methods significantly impact students’ understanding and result in decreased learning outcomes. Based on this issue, the Flannel Box media helps students understand fractions and is expected to improve their learning outcomes in mathematics. This research is classified as research and development (R&D). The development model used is the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The trial was conducted with 2nd-grade students at SDN 16 Sitiung, using data collection techniques that involved analyzing validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The validation results for the Flannel Box learning media obtained an average validation score of 80% (content, media, language), categorized as very valid. The validation of the teaching module received an average score of 82.5%, also categorized as very valid, and the validation of the questions received an average score of 85.6%, categorized as very valid. The practicality test, conducted by educators and 2nd-grade students, yielded a score of 87.5%, categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test, based on the learning outcome tests from the 2nd-grade students, achieved a score of 84.2%, categorized as very effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of WhatsApp as a medium to support Japanese language learning among students of the Japanese Language Education Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau. The research uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collection techniques through questionnaires and documentation of WhatsApp conversations in Japanese. A total of 38 students participated as respondents in this study. The results of the questionnaire indicate that the majority of students use WhatsApp for academic communication and informal Japanese language practice, although they still face challenges such as limited vocabulary and lack of self-confidence. Analysis of four screenshots of conversations shows that students are able to use Japanese contextually and coherently without relying on automatic translation, although the use of greetings remains limited. This study demonstrates that WhatsApp serves as a flexible learning medium that supports foreign language communication skills in an informal setting. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of integrating digital media in foreign language learning to increase exposure and language practice outside formal classroom settings.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how the learning process of addition and subtraction operations is carried out. The object of this research is the learning of addition and subtraction operations, while the subjects are elementary school students. In this study, data collection was carried out by searching for journal references through online media such as Google Scholar. Addition and subtraction operations are fundamental parts of mathematics, usually taught at the early levels of elementary school. These operations are often introduced using concrete objects or pictures to make them easier for children to understand. Addition is understood as the process of combining two groups of objects, while subtraction is seen as the process of taking away a part of a group. This research was conducted through literature study using data analysis techniques. The use of concrete media and conceptual approaches has been proven effective in improving students’ understanding. Therefore, teachers need to choose appropriate learning strategies so that the material can be optimally understood by students.
