Abstract

Abstract

In the modern era, society's dependence on technology, particularly the internet, has brought significant changes in lifestyle, including shopping behavior. E-commerce, as a form of electronic commerce, is rapidly evolving as a mechanism for exchanging goods and services over the internet. This study aims to measure the influence of brand ambassadors and the "Gratis Ongkir" (Free Shipping) tagline of Shopee on the purchasing decisions of STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci students. The research results indicate a relatively low impact of both factors, with a Coefficient of Determination value of 14.3%. Despite being low, this value provides an initial overview of the extent to which the model can explain variations in students' purchasing decisions. The analysis reveals that the partial influence of brand ambassadors on purchasing decisions is 0.41%, while the "Gratis Ongkir" tagline has an impact of 0.34%. Although these figures are relatively low, it is important to note that low values do not necessarily reflect insignificance. The reduced impact could be influenced by complex factors and variables not measured in the study. The Coefficient of Determination value of 14.3% indicates that the constructed model can explain a small portion of the variation in purchasing decisions among STIE Sakti Alam Kerinci students.

Abstract

Commercial law in Indonesia is an essential instrument to ensure certainty and fairness in economic activities. However, in practice, legal disputes often arise due to contractual default, breach of agreement, bankruptcy, and unfair business competition. This study aims to analyze the causes of legal disputes in the practice of commercial law in Indonesia and the mechanisms for their resolution. The research method employed is a normative juridical approach by analyzing legislation, legal doctrines, and court decisions. The findings indicate that although litigation and non-litigation mechanisms are available, the effectiveness of dispute resolution is still influenced by the integrity of legal enforcers, the quality of contracts, and the legal awareness of business actors. Therefore, commercial law reform and the strengthening of dispute resolution institutions are necessary to create a healthy business climate.

Abstract

Higher education institutions are increasingly reliant on academic information systems to manage comprehensive academic processes. However, a preliminary survey of several respondents revealed user complaints regarding the service quality of these systems. Further analysis identified a gap between user expectations and perceptions of the service quality of the implemented academic information systems. This study aims to measure the service quality of SIAKAD (Academic Information System) at Siti Khodijah College of Health Sciences using the E-S-Qual model, which incorporates four dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, fulfillment, and efficiency. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey targeting students and lecturers. Data were collected using a questionnaire adapted from the E-S-QUAL (Electronic Service Quality) indicators to evaluate the academic information system’s service quality. The results show that there is a negative gap in all dimensions, which means that service quality has not fully met user expectations. The Efficiency dimension has the largest gap (-1.19), followed by Fulfillment (-1.13) and System Availability (-1.12), while the  dimension has the smallest gap (-1.08). These findings indicate the need for improvement, especially in the aspects of efficiency and fulfillment of service promises to increase user satisfaction. This study provides recommendations for information system managers to make improvements to the service process and conduct periodic evaluations for continuous improvement in service quality.

Abstract

The issues addressed in this study are: What is the role of the mediator in resolving divorce disputes at the Sekayu Religious Court? What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for mediators during the mediation process? How effective is mediation in resolving divorce disputes at the Sekayu Religious Court? This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The obtained data is analyzed in-depth to describe the real role of the mediator as well as the dynamics occurring during the mediation process. The results show that the mediator plays an important role as a neutral party that bridges communication between the disputing husband and wife. The success of mediation is influenced by the mediator's communication skills, the emotional readiness of the parties, and regulatory support from the judicial institution. However, obstacles such as the unwillingness of the parties to reconcile and time constraints during the mediation process often pose challenges. Therefore, mediation at the Sekayu Religious Court is quite effective in some cases, but its effectiveness heavily depends on the conditions of the parties involved and the mediator's skills.

Abstract

This study analyzes the difficulties faced by sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Kawan in learning to speak English. The aim is to identify specific challenges related to vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar that hinder students’ speaking performance. This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, involving 28 students and one English teacher. The findings reveal that students often struggle with finding the correct vocabulary, producing accurate pronunciation, and applying appropriate grammar during speaking activities. These difficulties are exacerbated by low self-confidence, limited exposure to English, and a lack of interactive speaking practice. The study underscores the importance of implementing engaging, student-centered teaching strategies, such as role-play, games, and collaborative activities, to create a supportive environment that encourages active participation. The results of this research are expected to offer valuable insights for teachers and stakeholders in designing more effective and contextual English learning programs, particularly for elementary school students.
