Abstract

Modern society in the information age presents a great deal of complexity. Such a situation triggers individual adaptation to a very complex society that is increasingly open to the bonds of applicable norms. The impact is that individuals develop behavior patterns that deviate from general norms, by doing as they please for their own benefit and personal interests (individualism), which then interferes with and harms themselves and others. The peer counseling training activity is carried out using methods such as: self-reflection, group discussions, and games. The results of this research indicate that peer counseling training activities for SMAK Cint Carolus students as Young People were conducted over four days, specifically on November 15, 22, 29, and December 6, 2025.  The students of SMAK Cint Carolus as Young People come from 3 (three) classes. The number of students from SMAK Cint Carolus participating in this training is 20, consisting of 5 from Class X, 10 from Class XI, and 5 from Class XII.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy, work ethic, and work discipline on the performance of daily contract employees at the Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Kerinci Regency. The main issue identified is the mismatch between compensation and workload, which has the potential to reduce employee motivation and productivity. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 20 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that self-efficacy, work ethic, and work discipline significantly affect employee performance, both simultaneously and partially. Self-efficacy has the most dominant influence compared to the other variables, with a regression coefficient of 0.45. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.68 indicates that 68% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the three independent variables. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the organization improve self-efficacy through training, strengthen a positive work culture, and establish a fairer compensation system.

Abstract

This study discusses the use of animated video media in tooth-brushing instruction for students with mild intellectual disabilities at the Al- Azra'iyah Koto Baru Simalanggang Special Needs School. The purpose of this study was to improve the tooth-brushing skills of students with mild intellectual disabilities. The main objective of this study is that students with mild intellectual disabilities are not yet able to understand the steps for brushing their teeth properly, correctly, and sequentially. This study used a classroom action research method because it aimed to improve outcomes and systematically refine the learning process through designed actions. This study was conducted in two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. After the actions were administered in cycle I, results showed a slight increase in the tooth-brushing skills of students with mild intellectual disabilities, but these actions did not produce the expected results. After reflecting on cycle I, the study continued to cycle II. Only after the actions were administered in cycle II did the expected results be achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of four bankruptcy prediction models Altman Z-Score, Grover, Springate, and Zmijewski in detecting financial distress within companies for the 2021–2025 period. Employing a scoping review method, this research examines relevant scientific articles published during this timeframe to map which model maintains the most consistent accuracy amidst post-pandemic economic dynamics. The literature analysis indicates that the Altman Z-Score model tends to exhibit the highest precision due to its comprehensive variables, which encompass aspects ranging from liquidity to accumulated profitability. Meanwhile, the Springate and Grover models demonstrate robust performance in assessing operational efficiency, although the Grover model frequently yields more optimistic results. On the other hand, the Zmijewski model was found to have a lower accuracy rate due to its narrow focus on leverage ratios. This study concludes that selecting the appropriate prediction model is crucial for investors and management in implementing early financial risk mitigation. This research recommends the integration of these models tailored to specific industry characteristics to achieve more accurate and credible detection results.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze students’ cognitive learning outcomes taught using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model compared to direct instruction, examine the effect of PjBL on improving cognitive learning outcomes on atomic structure material, and describe students’ responses to the PjBL implementation. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Control Group Pretest–Posttest design. The subjects were 62 tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 12 Kendari in the 2025/2026 academic year, consisting of 31 students in the experimental class and 31 students in the control class. The instruments used were a cognitive learning outcomes test and a student response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical tests. The results showed that the experimental class achieved a higher average cognitive score of 82.90 (very good category) compared to the control class, which obtained an average score of 73.23 (good category). The independent sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating that the PjBL model significantly improved students’ cognitive learning outcomes. Students’ responses toward the PjBL model were also very positive, with an average percentage of 80.13%. These findings indicate that the PjBL model is effective in teaching atomic structure material to enhance students’ cognitive learning outcomes .

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the Indonesian economy, contributing significantly to GDP and employment. However, MSMEs, particularly in West Java Province, still face serious challenges, particularly related to financial management and access to capital. Many MSMEs fail due to limited capital and knowledge in financing and preparing simple financial reports. Adequate financial reports are essential for obtaining financing and business expansion. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to increase the scale of MSME businesses in Waringin Jaya Village, Bojonggede District, Bogor Regency, by providing assistance in accessing capital and preparing simple financial reports. The PKM implementation method involves an initial survey to identify MSME needs, followed by direct assistance using a prepared module. This assistance is divided into four sessions: an explanation of capital access requirements, preparing simple financial reports, preparing simple sales reports, and a question and answer session. The results of the activity indicate that MSMEs gain a better understanding of credit requirements, capital sources, and how to prepare efficient financial reports and simple sales reports. The positive response from participants indicated that the information and insights provided were very helpful in developing their businesses. It is hoped that this increased understanding will facilitate MSMEs' access to capital, enable business expansion, create new jobs, and ultimately support local economic growth.

Abstract

The intersection of Kajoetanganstraat–Semeroestraat–Riebeeckstraat, designed by Herman Thomas Karsten, features a distinctive and characteristic architectural design inherited from the colonial period. The buildings located at this intersection were originally designed to serve commercial functions, such as shopping complexes and hotels. Over time, the commercial character of the buildings along Semeru Street in particular has continued to develop, leading to increasing diversity in commercial building façade designs, which gradually may result in the deterioration of both the functional and physical conditions of these Dutch colonial buildings. Façade design plays a significant role in shaping the visual quality of the area. This study aims to identify and analyze the façade characteristics of the twin buildings in order to preserve them as architectural and cultural assets. The research method employed direct observation and photographic documentation of the twin buildings. The results of field observations and sketches were processed using design software to produce analyses and conservation concepts for the twin buildings through building preservation efforts.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of character education in developing students’ discipline through religious-based activities. The research aims to describe the forms of disciplinary character development among students at the Surau of Yayasan Amal Saleh Padang City, identify problems related to discipline in the implementation of congregational Subuh prayer, and analyze the efforts made to overcome these problems. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that disciplinary character development is implemented through habituation, role modeling, regulations, and supervision of religious activities, especially congregational Subuh prayer. The main obstacles include students’ lack of self-awareness, fatigue due to academic activities, and inconsistent time management. Efforts to address these challenges involve guidance, motivation, and strengthening supervision. In conclusion, the Surau plays a significant role in fostering students’ disciplinary character through structured and continuous religious guidance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digitalization as a moderating variable in the relationship between intellectual capital and public service quality at the village level. The background of this research is based on the need for villages to improve the effectiveness of public services amid technological developments and growing public demands for fast, transparent, and accountable services. The study employed a quantitative approach using SEM PLS to examine both direct and moderating effects, involving 100 respondents consisting of village officials and service users. The findings reveal that intellectual capital significantly influences public service quality, and digitalization also contributes directly to enhancing service effectiveness. Furthermore, digitalization is proven to moderate the relationship between intellectual capital and service quality, indicating that the use of technology strengthens the contribution of human competencies in delivering higher quality services. The discussion highlights that the integration of intellectual capital and digitalization is essential for achieving modern and responsive village-level public services. This study concludes that improving the capabilities of village apparatus and increasing the adoption of digital technologies should be carried out simultaneously to support the transformation of village public services toward a more effective and community-oriented system.

Abstract

This study examines criminal liability for self-defense (noodweer) in cases of assault resulting in serious injury, focusing on Decision Number 76/Pid.B/2025/PN TJK. The research analyzes the factors causing the assault within the context of self-defense and the criminal responsibility of defendants who exceed the limits of lawful self-defense. The study employs both normative juridical and empirical approaches, using secondary data such as legislation, criminal law literature, and court decisions, as well as primary data obtained through interviews with investigators, prosecutors, judges, and the defendant. The findings indicate that the assault resulted from a complex interaction of internal and external factors, including emotional instability, economic pressure, an unfavorable environment, a culture of violence, and direct provocation and sudden attacks by the victim. Although the defendant acted under threat, the response was disproportionate and constituted excessive self-defense (noodweer exces). Consequently, the court held the defendant criminally liable under Article 351 paragraph (2) of the Indonesian Criminal Code and imposed a one-year prison sentence. The study emphasizes that lawful self-defense must be proportional and not excessive.
