Abstract

The concept of a Sakinah family is crucial for married couples in Islam, as it represents a harmonious and peaceful family life. This study aims to explore the concept of a Sakinah family from an Islamic perspective, focusing on Jasser Auda's interpretation of Maqāṣid al-Syarīʻah and its relevance to Islamic Family Law. Using a descriptive content analysis approach, this library-based research analyzes primary sources, including books on the Sakinah family and Auda’s work on Maqāṣid al-Syarīʻah, as well as secondary data for support. The findings reveal that the concept of a Sakinah family, based on Auda’s six principles-cognitive nature, wholeness, interrelated hierarchy, openness, multidimensionality, and purposefulness-extends beyond fulfilling marital rights and duties. It also includes psychological, worldview, and developmental aspects, emphasizing love, mutual understanding, adjustments, and forgiveness. These factors contribute to a peaceful family environment. The relationship between the Sakinah family concept and Islamic Family Law is complementary, with a focus on mutual understanding, openness, and respect for each other’s rights and obligations.

Abstract

The Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum has a strategic role in shaping students' morals. However, its effectiveness is still debatable due to various factors, such as teaching methods, teacher involvement, and learners' social environment. This study aims to examine the extent to which the Islamic Education curriculum contributes to shaping students' morals as well as identifying its supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a qualitative approach, this study involved in-depth interviews, observations, and analysis of relevant documents. The results showed that the effectiveness of the PAI curriculum is highly dependent on the implementation by educators, the relevance of the material to the reality of students' lives, as well as support from the family and community environment. It was found that students who received applicable and exemplary-based PAI learning were more likely to show good moral. However, there are obstacles such as the lack of innovation in learning methods and the lack of integration of Islamic values in daily life. Therefore, improvements in curriculum design, increased teacher competence, and a more contextual approach are needed so that the moral formation of students can run more effectively.

Abstract

This study deeply examines the crucial role of curriculum objectives as the foundation for success in education. Well-defined, measurable, and relevant curriculum objectives serve as the main guideline in designing an effective and meaningful learning process for students. A good curriculum not only emphasizes academic mastery but also develops 21st-century skills, shapes character, and prepares students to face future challenges. In this research, various models and approaches to formulating curriculum objectives are analyzed, including their impact on curriculum implementation across different educational levels. Additionally, this study highlights the importance of involving various stakeholders, such as teachers, students, parents, and the community, in developing curriculum objectives that align with local needs and contexts. The research findings indicate that well-defined curriculum objectives, regularly evaluated, play a significant role in improving the quality of education, the relevance of learning, and the success of students in the future. Therefore, in-depth analysis of curriculum objectives is a crucial aspect for policymakers, curriculum developers, and education practitioners in realizing a high-quality and competitive educational system.

Abstract

The swift advancement of information and communication technology has significantly influenced numerous fields, particularly education. Incorporating ICT into the design of educational programs facilitates the development of learning experiences that are interactive, adaptable, and aligned with contemporary needs. This paper seeks to explore how ICT enhances the quality and efficacy of educational curricula. It highlights different technologies applicable in the educational process, including e-learning platforms, instructional software, and online applications that foster competency-based education. Furthermore, ICT promotes curriculum development that aligns closely with industry requirements and the needs of a global society. By effectively employing technology, curriculum design can become more attuned to the evolving landscape and challenges within education. Findings from this research demonstrate that ICT possesses considerable potential for driving curriculum innovation, broadening access to education, and enhancing both evaluation and learning processes. Nonetheless, the effective integration of ICT into curriculum design is contingent upon sufficient training for teachers and the adequacy of supportive educational infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the transformation of defense law in the digital age and advanced technology, focusing on the impact of technological advancements on national defense policies and regulations. With the rapid development of technology, particularly cyber threats that cross territorial boundaries, national defense legal systems face new challenges that require updates to regulations and policies. Through a literature review, this research identifies that traditional defense law needs to be revised to include protection of critical infrastructure, regulation of technology-based defense, and management of digital threats. Advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things provide opportunities to strengthen defense systems, but they also pose ethical and legal challenges, particularly regarding privacy, human rights, and accountability in the use of technology in military operations. The study also emphasizes the importance of international collaboration in addressing global transnational cyber threats. As a recommendation, countries need to urgently update their defense law regulations and strengthen international cooperation to maintain global security, while ensuring the use of defense technology aligns with international law principles and human rights.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive media based on Scratch that implements the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on the topic of Algebraic Forms. The development process follows the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), which involves five stages: needs analysis, media design, prototype development, implementation, and evaluation. However, due to the researcher's limitations, this study was only conducted up to the Development stage. The developed media was validated by four experts two in the field of mathematics education and two in instructional media engineering. The validation results indicated that the media developed is highly feasible for use in the learning process. Based on expert evaluations, the media is considered effective in enhancing students' understanding of algebraic form concepts and encouraging active interaction and group collaboration through the implementation of the TGT model. Therefore, this Scratch-based interactive media using the TGT model is suitable for supporting mathematics learning on the topic of Algebraic Forms.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the mind mapping learning model in improving elementary school students' narrative writing skills. By analyzing various published journals, it was found that the implementation of this model shows significant results in addressing the challenges faced by students in writing. Although there are some limitations in these studies, the analysis indicates that the mind mapping model can assist students in organizing ideas and composing texts more effectively. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the strengths and weaknesses of using the mind mapping learning model in the context of Indonesian language education.
