Abstract

Environmentally friendly human resource management as part of local business sustainability efforts, especially those that are still traditional and based on community cultural values, has a strategic role. This study addresses the lack of structured Green HRM models within traditional local industries in Indonesia, particularly in household-scale businesses that operate based on cultural heritage and community values. The concept of Green Human Resource Management (Green HRM) is the application of human resource management that is environmentally friendly and can be implemented in the management of household industries that have a small business scale. The production process of Cap Tikus drinks has traditionally not considered the principles of sustainability and environmental friendliness. The purpose of the research is to identify green HRM practices that have been applied in the traditional beverage business, describe challenges in the implementation of green HRM, and formulate a model for implementing green HRM practices based on local wisdom and business sustainability. The results of the study show that the business management of the traditional beverage household industry is still traditional and has not implemented green HRM in business management. The application of the green HRM model is implemented through the practices of Green Recruitment & Selection, Green Training & Development, Green Performance Evaluation, and Green Employee Relations. The positive impact of the implementation is the formation of a working group that is concerned and environmentally friendly, competent and innovative in business management based on local wisdom, environmentally friendly practices, and optimal waste management.

Abstract

Despite the significant potential of zakat profesi collection in Indonesia, especially in regions like Aceh with strong Islamic governance, limited empirical studies have explored the motivational factors that influence professional groups such as lecturers to pay zakat through formal institutions. This study fills this gap by examining behavioral determinants of motivation to pay zakat profesi among university lecturers, who have stable incomes and religious education backgrounds. The study analyzes the influence of attitude, subjective norms, religiosity, and trust on motivation to pay zakat profesi in Aceh Province. Using a quantitative causal approach, the study surveyed 161 Muslim lecturers from State Universities in Aceh via convenience sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed with multiple linear regression in SPSS. The results indicate that attitude, subjective norms, religiosity, and trust all have significant positive effects on motivation to pay zakat profesi, both individually and collectively. The determination coefficient () of 0.625 shows these variables explain 62.5% of the variation in motivation, with other factors accounting for the remainder. These findings highlight the importance of fostering positive attitudes, strengthening subjective norms, enhancing religious understanding, and building trust in zakat institutions to increase professional zakat payment. This research offers practical insights for zakat institutions and local governments to sustainably raise public awareness and motivation to fulfill professional zakat obligations.

Abstract

Ethnopedagogy is a form of learning actualization that focuses on instilling local wisdom values in the educational process. This study aims to explore the concept, implementation, and barriers of ethnopedagogy. As a pedagogical approach, ethnopedagogy in elementary schools needs to be implemented through innovative learning strategies and media in order to attract students' attention and foster a love for local culture. This study used a mixed methods approach with a concurrent triangulation strategy to obtain comprehensive data. The results show that the application of ethnopedagogy through learning media based on local wisdom is proven to be more effective in increasing student engagement and understanding of cultural values. Learning activities packaged in the form of traditional games and contextual media are able to create an active, creative, effective, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Thus, ethnopedagogy can be optimally implemented when presented through innovative learning activities rooted in local potential. The research implies that for ethnopedagogy to be optimized, a more mature conceptual framework and collaborative efforts between universities, schools, and the government are necessary to strengthen its application and distinguish it from similar educational approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum at Lentera Harapan Tomohon High School. The specific objectives are to examine: (1) curriculum planning, (2) supporting factors, (3) inhibiting factors, and (4) efforts to overcome obstacles in its implementation. This research employed a qualitative method with observation, interviews, and documentation as the main data collection techniques, while the researcher served as the primary instrument. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum has been carried out through three major stages: preparation, learning implementation, and evaluation of learning outcomes. Supporting factors include adequate learning facilities and infrastructure, as well as school programs that align with the Merdeka Belajar concept. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of limited teacher competence, funding constraints, time allocation issues, and students’ readiness for independent learning. The study provides several recommendations. For teachers: increasing understanding of the curriculum through seminars and workshops, developing creative teaching modules, and using innovative learning media. For the school: continuously conducting professional development programs related to Merdeka Belajar and ensuring the availability of learning tools and resources.

Abstract

I Made Yasana is one of the Balinese painters known for his exploration of traditional wayang forms that are creatively processed into contemporary works. This research aims to examine Yasana's painting style, its aesthetic change from tradition to modernity, and the visual uniqueness that marks its artistic identity. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with an aesthetic approach and style analysis. The results of the study show that Yasana's work displays an interesting transition between the symbolic values of classical puppetry and the freedom of form and color typical of modern art. Yasana manages to create a bridge between Bali's cultural heritage and the global art context through the reinterpretation of puppet iconography into a dynamic and expressive visual form.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic development of excellent and competitive human resources (HR) in Indonesia’s education sector. The paper integrates the Human Capital Theory and Islamic Educational Values to formulate a holistic conceptual model for improving teacher competence, professionalism, and institutional competitiveness. Adopting a qualitative descriptive approach, the study synthesizes scholarly research and policy documents published between 2018 and 2025. The findings indicate that superior human resources in education must embody three integrated dimensions: intellectual competence, professional capability, and spiritual integrity. Strategic approaches include professional training, innovation-based leadership, digital transformation, and moral-spiritual education. A conceptual framework is presented to show how Human Capital Development, Islamic Educational Values, and Educational Competitiveness intersect to produce excellent educational human resources that can sustain global competitiveness while maintaining ethical integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to map and synthesize the body of research concerning the socio-cultural dimensions of Islamic education in Indonesia and Africa from 2020 to 2025. Employing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology aligned with PRISMA 2020 guidelines, the research systematically analyzed 20 Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journal articles. The findings reveal five dominant themes: (1) community-based learning and the institutional role of Islam in social capital development; (2) integration of local cultural wisdom in Islamic pedagogy; (3) gender equity and inclusivity; (4) the digital transformation of Islamic education during and after the COVID-19 pandemic; and (5) educational governance and policy in postcolonial contexts. Indonesian scholarship predominantly highlights pesantren and madrasah as harmonizers between Islamic teachings and local traditions. Conversely, African research emphasizes colonial legacy, plural epistemologies, and struggles for educational access and epistemic decolonization. The synthesis demonstrates that Islamic education functions as a bridge between religion, culture, and modernity sustaining cultural resilience while fostering transformative learning and social renewal.

Abstract

Transparent and accountable law enforcement is a key pillar in building public trust in police institutions. This study aims to analyze the strategy of strengthening the internal supervision system within the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) as an effort to strengthen the integrity of law enforcement. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis through literature studies, laws and regulations, and the results of evaluation of the performance of the internal supervision of the National Police. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of the internal supervision system of the National Police is greatly influenced by three main factors, namely strengthening supervisory institutions, the application of information technology in the audit and reporting system, and improving the culture of integrity at all levels of the organization. The implementation of this strategy is able to narrow the space for abuse of authority, increase the accountability of the authorities, and strengthen public trust in the law enforcement process. Thus, strengthening the internal supervision system not only functions as an instrument of control but also as the main foundation in realizing transparent, accountable, and integrity legal governance in the National Police.

Abstract

This study systematically reviews the socio-cultural dynamics of Islamic education in Indonesia and selected Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Qatar, and Morocco. Adopting the PRISMA 2020 protocol and the PISCo analytical framework, this review synthesizes findings from 20 Scopus-indexed and Sinta 1 journal articles published between 2015 and 2025. The systematic analysis identifies four overarching themes: (1) the preservation of cultural and religious identity within Islamic educational institutions, (2) the modernization and globalization of Islamic curricula through pedagogical reform, (3) the promotion of religious moderation and civic education as a response to extremism, and (4) the digital transformation of Islamic learning environments as part of socio-cultural adaptation in the post-pandemic era. The findings reveal that while Indonesia and the Middle Eastern countries share common theological and cultural roots, Indonesia tends to emphasize pluralism, inclusivity, and contextualized approaches, whereas Middle Eastern systems remain largely centralized, policy-driven, and state-regulated. This study recommends the development of transnational collaborations, cross-cultural exchange programs, and policy integration frameworks to enhance the adaptability and sustainability of Islamic education in a rapidly globalizing world.

Abstract

The high rate of work accidents in construction projects in Indonesia shows that the implementation of occupational safety is not optimal, even though it has been required by regulations. The Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) is an important instrument for creating a safe work environment, increasing productivity, and reducing the risk of accidents. This study aims to find out the overview of the implementation of SMK3, the rate of work accidents, and labor productivity in the Bawela Stadium Construction Project in Sorong City, as well as to analyze the influence between these variables directly and indirectly. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a verifiable method. The sample in this study was 100 construction workers who were selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results showed that the implementation of SMK3 in general was in the "adequate" category (score 3.40), the rate of work accidents was in the "adequate" category (score 2.46), and labor productivity was also in the "adequate" category (score 3.39). The implementation of SMK3 has a significant negative effect on the rate of work accidents and has a significant positive effect on labor productivity. In addition, the rate of work accidents has been shown to have a negative influence on labor productivity. Indirectly, SMK3 affects productivity through reducing the rate of work accidents. These findings affirm the importance of strengthening the occupational safety system through leadership, planning, and a culture of OSH to support the success of construction projects.
