Abstract

The consumption of Boy’s Love (BL) has rapidly expanded across various Asian countries and has become increasingly prominent in Indonesia due to enhanced digital access and the pervasive influence of transnational popular culture. This development raises questions regarding the understanding of BL consumption within the framework of Islamic values, particularly in relation to the spiritual well-being of Muslim individuals. This study aims to analyze Islamic perspectives on BL consumption through the Spiritual Well-Being framework, which encompasses Religious Well-Being (RWB) and Existential Well-Being (EWB). A literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach was conducted on 80 articles published between 2020 and 2025, sourced from Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, ScienceDirect, and ResearchGate. The analysis employed thematic techniques to identify the relationships among BL media consumption, user motives, Islamic moral values, and individual spiritual dynamics. Findings indicate that BL consumption has the potential to challenge RWB, as the depiction of same-sex relationships conflicts with Islamic law and may influence moral sensitivity as well as the clarity of an individual's relationship with God. In the EWB dimension, BL serves as a space for escapism, identity exploration, and emotional fulfillment; however, the resulting meanings often misalign with Islamic life orientation, leading to existential dissonance. The study underscores that spiritual well-being in Islam requires the prudent management of media consumption to maintain the moral balance and spiritual orientation of Muslim individuals.

Abstract

The retrofitting work of the East Java Province Public Works Office Building into a Green Building encountered several obstacles during the construction process that caused delays in the execution of the work. Therefore, scheduling control is needed using the Critical Chain Project Management method. CCPM aims to manage scheduling design and process control by concentrating on eliminating multitasking, Parkinson's Law, and student's syndrome, which have been considered to cause suboptimal field work execution time and increased waste in terms of time. CCPM also has a buffer mechanism used in scheduling as a tool to protect project schedules from uncertainty, ensuring that every task can be completed on time. By using the Critical Chain Project Management method, a project buffer value of 26 days and a feeding buffer of 11 days were obtained, so that the original work duration of 180 days would become 143 days if the entire buffer of 37 days was not applied. The implementation cost with a value of Rp. 32,048,830,700 can be more efficient at Rp. 30,584,593,995 if the entire buffer is not used, with a project buffer saving of Rp. 1,028,923,090 and feeding buffer savings of Rp. 435,313,615, resulting in a total work cost savings of Rp. 1,464,236,705.

Abstract

Customer churn has become a critical challenge for telecommunication companies, especially with the emergence of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC), where mobile services and fiber optic services operate under one ecosystem. Unlike mobile-only services, which rely on fast and seamless fulfillment with minimal field intervention, fiber optic services require extensive physical installation activities involving technicians, equipment, and site readiness. This operational disparity creates new complexities, including data integrity issues, inconsistent customer information across multiple touchpoints, and the need for greater trust in field workforce performance. As customer expectations continue to rise in highly competitive markets such as Indonesia, ineffective churn management not only reduces revenue but also increases acquisition costs and weakens long-term customer value. This study aims to identify the key drivers of churn and propose mitigation strategies based on insights from customer service representatives (CSR), who serve as the primary line of defence in handling customer complaints, deactivations, and terminations. Using a qualitative case study approach, in-depth interviews were conducted and analyzed through thematic analysis, focusing on pricing schemes, service quality, and service usage. The findings indicate that service usage—particularly bill shock—and service quality issues stemming from repeated complaints and stuck orders are the main churn drivers. Meanwhile, pricing is no longer a dominant factor due to existing mitigation programs that adjust prices to match competitors. The study offers practical strategies to reduce churn, including improving transparency, enhancing fulfillment reliability, and aligning key performance indicators to support the effective implementation of these measures.

Abstract

This study examines the factors that affect the competence of employees at the Land Office ASN at the Ministry of ATR/BPN. The variables tested in this study are transformational leadership and work environment as exogenous variables and employee competence as endogenous variables. In contrast, work motivation as mediators and work stres variables as moderators. Which fits with empirical data on Land Office Employees at the Ministry of ATR/BPN. The study’s respondents were employees who had taken the conpetency assessment at the level of Administrator Position, Supervisory Position and Executive Position, which was 319 employees. Data analysis using Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS software. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the average Loading factor value is > 0.70, the composite reliability value > 0.70, the t-statistic value > 1.96 or the p-value < 0.05 (5%) and can be interpreted as a significant influence between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The results showed that transformational leadership, work environment, and work motivation affect employee competence. Work motivation was able to mediated the influence of transformational leadership and work environment on employee competence, still work stress was found to weaken the influence of the work environment on employee competence.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive digital comic-based learning medium to foster students’ historical consciousness and Islamic thought while improving their understanding of Islamic history at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Sidenreng Rappang. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model—analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation—this research produced a digital comic entitled The Siege of Jerusalem by Umar bin Khattab as a learning medium for the subject of Islamic Cultural History (SKI). The digital comic does not merely visualize historical events but is deliberately designed to build Islamic historical awareness by presenting history as ‘ibrahand to instill an Islamic worldview on justice, tolerance, and leadership through the character of Umar bin Khattab. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results showed that traditional learning media remained dominant and less engaging, leading to low motivation and limited comprehension. The developed digital comic improved students’ learning outcomes by 14 points and increased motivation, accompanied by higher levels of historical reflection and the ability to connect the conquest of Jerusalem to the values of justice, tolerance, and mercy within Islamic thought. Qualitative data from students and teachers also indicated deeper historical awareness and internalization of Islamic ethical values. Thus, Islamic-values-based digital comic media effectively enhances cognitive understanding while fostering Islamic historical consciousness, moral reflection, and students’ interest in learning Islamic history.

Abstract

This study investigates the cost implications of accelerating the construction of the Trenggalek Religious Court Office Building in response to delays caused by flooding. Utilizing the crashing method, two acceleration strategies were evaluated: adding overtime hours and increasing workforce. The results indicate that reducing the project duration from 240 days to 180 days through overtime incurs a cost increase primarily due to additional pay, while reducing it to 170 days by adding workers results in higher labor costs. Detailed analysis of durations, costs, and cost slopes for each activity provides valuable insights for project managers to select the most cost-effective acceleration approach. Additionally, a comparative analysis of normal and crashing schedules for various construction tasks highlights potential efficiencies in scheduling and budgeting, ultimately aiding in timely project completion within optimized costs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character and service strategy for sleeper bus consumers on the Malang-Jakarta route based on the perspective of users. Through a survey approach involving questionnaire instruments, this study integrates the Kano and SERVQUAL methods to identify customer needs and evaluate the gap between expectations and perceptions of service quality. Analysis of user needs characteristics was carried out to understand what attributes are considered important and significantly affect the level of satisfaction in the context of sleeper bus services. The results show that some service attributes fall into the must-be and one-dimensional categories, which are proven to have a strong impact on user satisfaction. Meanwhile, SERVQUAL's analysis identified negative gaps in several service dimensions, especially in terms of reliability and responsiveness. Based on these findings, this study formulated a service improvement strategy that focuses on optimizing priority attributes, improving operational processes, and strengthening comfort and security aspects. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more responsive and customer-oriented intercity transportation service strategy.

Abstract

Consumptive behavior in purchasing fashion products through paylater services is increasing among students in Yogyakarta and has the potential to cause financial problems, especially for individuals with low self-control and a tendency to follow peer pressure. Good self-control allows individuals to regulate their shopping impulses, while conformity can encourage students to conform to trends and lifestyles of their peers. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and conformity with consumptive behavior in purchasing fashion products with the paylater payment method for students in Yogyakarta. The research method uses a correlational quantitative approach with a sample of 100 students selected through purposive sampling techniques. The instruments used include the self-control scale, the conformity scale, and the consumptive behavior scale. The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between self-control and consumptive behavior as well as between conformity and consumptive behavior. The lower the student's self-control, the higher the consumptive behavior, and the higher the tendency to conform, the greater the opportunity for students to make consumptive purchases. Simultaneously, both variables were proven to have a significant effect on the consumptive behavior of students using PayLater. This study concludes that self-control and conformity are important factors in shaping consumptive behavior, so it is necessary to increase financial literacy and self-regulation so that students are wiser in using PayLater services.
