Abstract

Identitas nasional merupakan jatidiri yang menjadi pembeda antara bangsa satu dengan bangsa lainnya. Dengan demikian maka setiap bangsa mempunyai ciri-ciri yang khas, karakteristik, dan sifat yang berbeda. Namun di tengah era globalisasi saat ini identias nasional justru mendapatkan sebuah tantangan-tantangan yang harus diatasi. Jika dibiarkan, terjadinya arus globalisasi yang sangat pesat ini membuat identitas nasional akan memudar bahkan hilang. Maka dari itu, masyarakat perlu melakukan berbagai upaya untuk merawat identitas nasionalnya. Upaya tersebut harus diperhatikan dan didukung agar bangsa Indonesia dapat menjaga martabatnya dan mampu bersaing dengan bangsa lainnya.Kata kunci: Merawat, Identitas Nasional, Globalisasi

Abstract

Learning English, especially speaking skills, requires a variety of accurate strategies. The aim is to make it easier for students to learn English, the more ways they can learn it the easier it is to master it. However, it is important to remember that learning English is not learning knowledge that requires high logical reasoning, memorizing formulas, mastering tenses, grammar, and formal English grammar, and so on. But learning English is nothing more than a skill that is continuously practiced until it is accustomed, any language learned requires the practice of speaking the language learned.

Abstract

Tanjung Uban is a coastal area that is rich in plantation products in the form of mangoes. Besides that, it is also a tourist area that is visited by many. However, these resources are underutilized by the community as an income supplement. This is because many of the people work as fishermen so that few of them have businesses and take advantage of their plantation products. Based on these problems, a technopreneur-based home industry training was conducted. This training aims to give people the creativity to develop a home industry from plantation products, creativity, and increase household income. The method of applying and transferring technology to the community of RT.001 RW.IX Tanjung Uban is empowerment which includes training on the technical and management aspects of the Home Industry. With this RT.001 RW.IX residents can process their plantation products, create souvenirs from the community's creativity for tourists, and turn them into a business outside of their work as fishermen. This training is important for basic knowledge of citizen entrepreneurship and can be used as income when many tourists visit.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Giving task is one of the learning methods used by the teachers of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Padang to anticipate the online learning system during Pandemic time. Teachers  create teaching video with the  abandon of task instructions or the teachers create power points about the learning material and send them to goggle classroom or WhatsApp with so many tasks. Based on the interview done with the teachers , it was known that a large number  of  students protested  the teachers toward the  tasks given to them. The students became lazy or unserious to do those tasks so that their tasks had low standard quality that could not achive the lesson competency. When these problems were asked to the students and commonly they said that they could not understand well on the given tasks and they did not have enough capability and ability to do a large numbers of tasks. If this problem was not solved soon, the big trouble between the students and teachers wolud appear. This condiiton could threaten teaching and learning process as long as this pandemic time. For this case, a training and workshop about the learning model “SHARINGPLUS” need to be deliver to teachers. In this activity, the teachers were trained how to implement “SHARINGPLUS”  to change the negative behavior of the students in doing the tasks to positive behavior. Principally, SHARINGPLUS is a learning model that design the tasks based on negotiation between teachers and students, the students’ background knowledge, their comprehension level and their capability.  ABSTRAKMetode pemberian tugas merupakan cara yang digunakan guru SMP Muhamaddiyah 6 Padang dalam menyikapi sistem pembelajaran secara daring atau online pada masa pandemi ini. Dalam pembelajaran daring ini, pada umumnya guru membuat video ajar terhadap materi pada setiap pertemuanya lalu siswa diberiakan tugas atau guru hanya memberikan PPT melalui google classroom atau wa setelah itu memberikan tugas kepada siswa. Dari hasil wawancara yang dilakukan dengan beberapa guru disekolah ini didapatkan informasi bahwa banyak sekali siswa yang protes tentang bobot tugas yang diberikan, siswa menjadi malas untuk mengerjakan tugas sehingga tugas yang dihasilkan bermutu rendah sehingga tidak dapat memenuhi capaian kompentensi mata pelajaran, ketika ditanyakan kepada siswa permasalahan ini umumnya mereka menjawab tidak paham atau tidak mengerti dengan tugas yang diberikan dan mereka tidak sanggup mengerjakan tugas yang begitu banyak. Jika hal ini dibiarkan tentu dapat menimbulkan konflik antara guru dan siswa dan dapat mengancam terhadap kelancaran proses belajar mengajar terutama pada masa pandemi ini, untuk itulah kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini penting untuk dilakukan. Pada kegiatan ini, guru diberikan wawasan serta dibimbing untuk dapat meggunakan model pembelajaran SHARINGPLUS (Stimulating, Handled with consensus, Appropriateness, Revising, Illustrating, Negotiating, Goal Oriented,  Patient, Loving, Unforgettable, and Sympathetic) untuk dapat mengubah perilaku negative siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas ke pada perilaku positive karena pada prinsipnya pemberian tugas menurut model ini harus berdasarkan kesepakatan antara guru dan siswa dimana tugas harus sesuai dengan background knowledge, tingkat pemahaman dan kesanggupan siswa.

Abstract

The present and forthcoming educational requirements are focused on enhancing the calibre of cognitive competencies and expertise, in addition to the attitudes, character, and ethics of the Indonesian populace as a whole, to realize the national educational objectives. Early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping the creative, adaptive, and commendable character of students, thereby contributing significantly to the attainment of national education objectives. Educators hold a significant position in the educational journey of students, particularly in primary education, as they provide guidance and support throughout the learning process. The primary duty of a teacher, as a professional educator, is to instruct, guide, and mentor students towards the development of refined, self-sufficient, and exceptional individuals. Proficiency in imparting educational content to learners is a prerequisite for fulfilling the responsibilities of this position. Hence, in order to optimize their function, an educator must possess comprehension of the four fundamental principles of education. These principles can serve as a framework for structuring educational endeavours within primary school settings. The purpose of this practise is to equip students with the necessary skills and abilities to acquire knowledge in a more comprehensive manner, encompassing cognitive, practical, personal, and social domains. The forthcoming community service initiative is scheduled to take place in June 2023, wherein a cohort of 24 individuals will be engaged in the provision of educational instruction at the Nasyatul Aisyiyah Mungka Kindergarten.

Abstract

Nilai bahasa Indonesia siswa di SMAN 7 dan SMAN 8 Padang masih banyak berada di bawah KKM. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurangnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran menyimak dan masih banyak guru yang belum menggunakan media dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut diadakan IbM (Iptek bagi Masyarakat) dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis karakter.  Tujuan pelaksanaan IbM ini adalah: (a) memberikan media pembelajaran berbasis karakter yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran menyimak pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia, (b) meningkatkan pemahaman tentang konsep pembelajaran menyimak dalam kurikulum 2013, (c) memberikan pelatihan terhadap guru untuk ikut membuat dan mengaplikasikan media pembelajaran berbasis karakter. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan Iptek bagi Masyarakat  ini adalah pelatihan atau pembimbingan terhadap guru SMAN 7 dan SMAN 8 Padang untuk dapat menggunakan media pembelajaran menyimak berbasis karakter. Media pembelajaran berbasis karakter tersebut tersedia dalam bentuk audiovisual yang bisa didapatkan dari internet namun terdapat nilai pendidikan karakter di dalamnya. Media tersebut ditranskripkan  dalam modul pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama delapan kali pertemuan pada masing-masing sekolah dan melibatkan empat orang guru bahasa Indonesia dari masing-masing sekolah tersebut. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah guru bahasa Indonesia di SMAN 7 dan SMA 8 Padang dapat menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis karakter dalam pembelajaran menyimak.

Abstract

This training is aimed at class XII language students at the State University of Padang State University Laboratory Development High School. The method used is the lecture and discussion method. The material presented aims to introduce students that BIPA is teaching Indonesian as a foreign language and not a second language. Indonesian is taught so that foreigners can live and suevive in Indonesian nature and culture. One of the frameworks is the CEFR (Common European Frame of Reference) for language. In BIPA learning, there are several things that must be considered between BIPA learning strategies and media. The discussion method is also used for questions and answers with students related to their understanding of the material that has been delivered.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is assistance in the development of android-based handouts that are in accordance with the subjects taught by the teacher. This service team is a lecturer who teaches and is an expert in the fields of learning media, strategies and learning design. This is very helpful in solving partner problems. In addition, one of the research results of the service team in the form of learning media design contributes to choosing the right learning media for distance learning. Therefore, the training material includes two things, namely 1) getting to know handouts and the SAC application, 2) making android-based handouts using the SAC application. The method used in this activity is the lecture method, and demonstration or joint practice in making android-based handouts using SAC application that will be carried out by a team of lecturers at partner locations.

Abstract

As a medium of instruction, English does not easily develop in Indonesia. It is even becoming a problem in communication where many parties are not interested to use it in communication. On the contrary, world of Industries really demand the workers to be able to speak and write in English well. SMA DEK as one of the private school that its graduated students directly work in companies after graduation answers the problem. It provides its students with various English program such as english day, English zone, learning TOEFL and English Proficiency. By considering the quality of the students, these programs are expected running well. Emphasizing listening skill is the main purpose because it is the most activity used by students during English learning. So that, observation method, testing method and discussion method are implemented in order to find out the student qualification to answer the challenge. From the community service implementation, it is found that the students have been good on listening skill understanding. During the participant observation, they make and answer the question freely. While implementing the listening TOEFL test, they can answer the questions well and when the discussion method comes, they argue about the correct answer by giving their own reason. It finally concludes that, by learning the Listening TOEFL test, SMA DEK students are motivated to speak freely and give comment toward the given information.

Abstract

Pendidikan Karakter di masa pandemi tidak berjalan secara efektif, karena pembelajaran secara daring dapat memutuskan mata rantai pertemuan guru dengan siswa, baik di sekolah maupun di lembaga bimbingan belajar. Pengajar tidak bisa memantau langsung perkembangan perilaku siswa. Hal ini mengakibatkan  keterbatasan dalam membimbing langsung perilaku siswa yang melakukan kesalahan dan ini merupakan salah satu kendala pembinaan karakter siswa di masa pandemi seperti sekarang ini. Bererapa tantangan pendidikan karakter di masa pandemi yaitu learning loss, peserta didik kehilangan role model, kehilangan interaksi edukatif, ketidaksiapan orang tua, kegandrungan kepada alat komunikasi yang keterlaluan, kurang kuatnya ruang pendidikan akidah, ibadah dan ketidakmampuan orang tua dalam memenuhi kebutuhan belajar daring. Adapun solusi yang ditawarkan adalah adanya kebijakan dan langkah-langkah yang terstruktur dan terukur dalam mengatasi learning loss, memperkuat trilogi pendidikan, adanya penguatan keteladanan secara massif, adanya interaksi edukatif yang lebih intens melalui daring, pendidikan karakter berbasis multiple intelegence, adanya  koordinasi pengajar dengan orang tua siswa, serta pemblokiran situs-situs merusak dan hoaks.
