Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of using mobile phones before bedtime on sleep patterns and emotional development of elementary school children. The research sample consisted of 60 randomly selected children from grades 4 and 5 at Bentengmati 1 Elementary School in Mijen. Data was collected on mobile phone usage before bedtime, sleep patterns, and children's emotional development. The subjects of the study were fourth and fifth-grade students at Bentengmati 1 Elementary School. Data collection techniques included surveys and questionnaires. The primary data for this research was obtained through distributing questionnaires to the fourth and fifth-grade students. The study was conducted online using Google Forms from April 27 to 28, 2024. Data was processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS Statistics 22. The results showed that students at Bentengmati 1 Elementary School have varying durations of gadget usage. There are 21 students (35%) who have a high duration of gadget use and 10 students (16.7%) with a low duration. The study on the duration of gadget usage among fourth and fifth-grade students at Bentengmati 1 Elementary School revealed that these children find gadgets very important and have difficulty controlling their use. This condition is common among children transitioning from childhood to adolescence, who still require parental supervision. The data also revealed that more than half of the students experience poor sleep quality, with 21 students (35%) affected. Additionally, 68 out of 81 respondents (84%) reported poor sleep quality, while only 13 students (16%) had good sleep quality.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of the brainstorming method on enhancing creative thinking and collaborative skills of students at MTs Al-Ishlah Panambangan. The method used in this research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach. The type of data used is quantitative data, and the source of data is primary data. The data analysis technique employed is the independent sample t-test. The results of the study indicate that brainstorming has an effect on the creativity and collaborative abilities of students at MTs Al-Ishlah Panambangan.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran komprehensif mengenai potensi dan permasalahan yang terkait dengan transisi pendidikan ini, serta sebagai landasan untuk mengembangkan kebijakan pendidikan yang responsif terhadap tuntutan kontemporer. Penelitian ini akan mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengandalkan analisis pustaka sebagai metodologi utama. Pendekatan ini dipilih untuk memahami secara mendalam dampak transformasi pendidikan di era digital terhadap peran tradisional guru, serta untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang yang muncul. Pendidikan telah mengalami transformasi besar dengan hadirnya era digital, yang mengubah paradigma pembelajaran tradisional menjadi lingkungan yang lebih dinamis dan terhubung. Meskipun hal ini menciptakan banyak peluang, hal ini juga menciptakan sejumlah tantangan yang harus diatasi agar semua orang dapat memperoleh manfaat yang sama dari transformasi ini. Merancang pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dimungkinkan melalui penggunaan kecerdasan buatan, metodologi pembelajaran berbasis proyek, dan kolaborasi internasional. Transformasi pendidikan di era digital dapat menjadi landasan untuk mengembangkan lingkungan pembelajaran yang inklusif dan kreatif yang sejalan dengan harapan saat ini jika kita menyadari permasalahan ini dan memiliki kemampuan untuk memanfaatkan peluang tersebut.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to determine the increase in the use of Discussion and Assignment learning methods to improve Civics learning outcomes, Lesson 2023/2024. The subjects of this research were 33 students in class VII.6 UPT SPF SMPN 40 MAKASSAR. This research was carried out in three cycles with each cycle having four stages, namely planning, implementation and observation, and reflection. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) aims to find out whether the use of Discussion and Assignment learning methods can improve student learning outcomes. The aim of the researcher in carrying out PTK using the Discussion and Assignment learning method in Civics learning is to find out whether the application of the discussion and Assignment method can improve student learning achievement. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results of cycle I showed that the percentage of student activity was 60.75% and the average value of the new class reached the average value of the class (67.19) and the classical learning completeness value (53.13%). Meanwhile, in cycle III, the percentage of student activity was 78.085% with a very good category and the class average score was (75.94) and the classical learning completeness score was (87.50%). Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Discussion and Assignment learning method to improve Civics learning outcomes is able to increase student activity and is able to improve student learning outcomes in Class VII.6 UPT SPF SMPN 40 MAKASSAR Academic Year 2023/2024. Thus, the use of image media in learning can increase teacher activity, student activity and student learning outcomes so that the quality of learning increases.

Abstract

This research discusses the use of interactive learning media for elementary school students in the digital era. The research problem focuses on understanding the role of interactive learning media for elementary school students, particularly those based on modern applications or websites. The goal is for both teachers and students to be able to utilize the interactive learning media available around them, which will eventually influence the process and the final outcomes of learning. This research uses a qualitative methodology in the form of a literature review. Data is obtained from various sources such as research journals, articles, and previous scientific works. The research results show that there are many interactive learning media available around us, such as educational videos, digital learning platforms, interactive simulations, and educational games. In their implementation, there are issues that need to be addressed to ensure that interactive learning media can achieve maximum effectiveness.

Abstract

Nowadays, teachers and books are no longer the only sources of knowledge available to students. Many other sources of knowledge can be accessed from the surrounding environment. Social media has become an integral part of everyday life. The positive impact of social media provides wide access. and easy access to educational and inspirational religious content such as lectures, articles, religion, and stories of the lives of pious people and become a platform for spreading positive messages and moral values ​​that are in accordance with religious teachings, while the negative impact is that children are vulnerable exposure to content that is not in accordance with their religious teachings. For example, unethical content, violence and social media often promote materialistic and hedonistic lifestyles, which are contrary to religious spiritual values. This research method uses a literature review type of research with a qualitative approach. The aim of the research is to understand how media social influences the learning process and practice of religious values ​​among children. This research aims to explore the extent to which social media can be an effective means of disseminating educational and inspirational religious content

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays an important role in shaping the character, morals and spirituality of students in Indonesia. However, PAI learning often faces challenges related to students' low literacy levels in understanding Islamic teachings in depth. This research aims to examine the application of an Islamic problem-based inquiry approach in improving students' literacy skills in PAI learning through the literature review method. The results of the study show that this approach is effective in increasing students' understanding of PAI material, developing critical thinking skills, and increasing students' motivation and active participation in learning. The Islamic problem-based inquiry approach is also able to develop students' information literacy skills, which include the ability to search, evaluate and process information from various sources. Additionally, this approach encourages collaboration and the development of social skills through group work and discussions between students. In conclusion, the application of an Islamic problem-based inquiry approach in PAI learning has a significant positive impact on students' literacy abilities. Therefore, this approach can be considered as one of the potential innovative methods for improving the quality of PAI education in Indonesia. Effective implementation requires support and training for teachers, as well as the development of relevant and challenging teaching materials. This research suggests that the application of an Islamic problem-based inquiry approach can be an effective solution for improving students' literacy skills in PAI learning, as well as forming students who are characterful, critical and literate.

Abstract

Reading is one of the methods to improve the quality of adequate human resources, the role of reading is very important for all circles. Reading is a characteristic of the decline and progress of this nation. Low interest in reading is the root cause of the difficulty of developing each individual. Therefore, it is very important to create an interest in reading in order to improve the quality of human resources and add value to each individual. This research aims to create interest in reading among young people and improve reading literacy in Cikalong Village, Jayabakti Village, Sukabumi District, West Java. This research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using the interview method, digging in-depth information through questions. Based on interviews, the role of young people is needed in the midst of society in the technological era. To bring young people into quality human resources, productive steps are needed. Precisely the young people of Cikalong Village really need facilities in reading which play a role in sharpening the thinking power of young people. But the young people of Cikalong village are still young people who are not productive and still lack critical thinking. Therefore, by creating reading facilities able to answer these problems, in order to become creative, productive, innovative and independent young people.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the MIN 12 Medan School. The method used is mixed methods with a survey approach and in-depth interviews with teachers to collect quantitative data. In-depth interviews were conducted to obtain more detailed qualitative data. The research results show that although there are challenges in teacher readiness and understanding as well as limited resources, support from continuous training and the use of digital learning resources can increase the effectiveness of curriculum implementation. Research recommendations include strengthening mentoring by experienced facilitators and developing learning communities. This research provides a comprehensive overview of the obstacles and solutions in implementing the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

Education plays a very vital role in human life. Through education, people can improve their quality of life and solve problems by thinking critically and practically. Education receives special attention as a forum for developing human resources. Every educational process in educational institutions requires a curriculum. When the curriculum undergoes change, a process is needed that involves all related parties, starting from the awareness that change is part of the life cycle of society. This research focuses on the influence of the Merdeka Curriculum on students. The transformation of character education and the impact of the Independent Curriculum on students requires case studies or concrete analysis regarding the implementation of this curriculum in the learning process to strengthen student character formation. The aim of this research is to understand the transformation of character education and the influence of the Independent Curriculum on students' character. This research uses a qualitative approach with interview methods and literature study methods by collecting relevant data and analyzing and studying it in detail and in depth, as well as holding discussions to discuss the context related to the material in the journal. From this research, 4 results were found, namely (1) Understanding of character education (2) The role of the curriculum in character formation, (3) Implementation of the independent curriculum in character education, (4) Challenges and opportunities in implementing the independent curriculum.
