Abstract

Stroke is a disorder of blood circulation in the brain, either due to ischemic (non-hemorrhagic stroke) or hemorrhagic (hemorrhagic stroke), which causes a lack of blood supply to the brain. Depression is an emotional disorder experienced by a person that can make him feel sad and helpless. The prevalence of stroke in Indonesia is 12.1 ‰, the highest in the province of South Sulawesi (17.9‰) and the lowest in the provinces of West Papua, Lampung and Jambi (5.3‰). The aim of this study was to determine the description of the incidence of depression in post-stroke patients in the Neurology Clinic at Makassar Hospital. The type of research used in this research is descriptive survey research. The instrument in this research uses a questionnaire. The sample in this study was 38 post-stroke patients taken using accidental sampling technique. The results of this study showed that of the 38 respondents (100.0%), 33 respondents (86.8%) were Ischemic (Non-Hemorrhagic Stroke) and 5 respondents (13.2%) were Hemorrhagic (Hemorrhagic Stroke). For the incidence of depression, from 38 respondents (100.0 %), the highest incidence of depression was mild depression, 9 respondents (23.7%) and the lowest was 6 respondents who were not depressed (15.8%). The conclusion of this research is that the incidence of depression in post-stroke patients at the Makassar Hospital Neurology Clinic is that the majority experienced non-hemorrhagic strokes and the majority had mild depression. Patients are advised to reduce or prevent atherosclerosis and Obstructive Sleep Apnea while sleeping by maintaining a lifestyle such as exercising frequently, maintaining body weight, and having regular health check-ups at health facilities. This is useful for avoiding ischemic strokes or Non-Hemorrhagic Strokes. and it is recommended that respondents always view the stressors they experience positively.

Abstract

Early mobilization is a series of light activities carried out after surgery starting in bed until being able to get out of bed, mobilize to the bathroom and walk out of the bathroom. Advances in intensive care allow more patients to survive acute critical illness. The use of mechanical ventilation is one of the advances in the care of critically ill patients that can have a negative impact on long-term use. The aim is to provide information about the benefits and application of early mobilization in patients undergoing treatment in the ICU and using mechanical ventilation. Results: early mobilization has an effect on physiological responses, reduces delirium scores, reduces the length of use of mechanical ventilation, reduces length of stay in the ICU and hospital and reduces treatment costs, and prevents VAP. One of the obstacles to early mobilization is the mindset of ICU staff. The conclusion is that early mobilization is one of the items for ICU patients and what hinders its implementation is the mindset of the ICU staff.

Abstract

Perineal pain arises due to tearing or laceration of the perineum during the birth process due to severed tissue, which stimulates the hypothalamus to release pain receptors in the perineal area. Caring for perineal wounds, one of the important things is carrying out vulva hygiene. The benefits of vulva hygiene are keeping the vagina and the surrounding area clean and comfortable, preventing the appearance of vaginal discharge, unpleasant odors and itching and maintaining a constant vaginal pH. Vulva care is carried out every morning and evening before bathing, after urinating, defecating and if the postpartum mother feels uncomfortable because the lochea smells or there are complaints of pain. As a result of poor perineal wound care, the condition of the perineum affected by lochea becomes moist and will greatly support the growth of bacteria which causes infection in the perineum which can hinder the wound healing process. The postpartum period is an important thing to pay attention to, where the recovery of reproductive organs that experience changes during the pregnancy process occurs. Knowing the Factors Associated with the Healing of Perineal Suture Wounds in Postpartum Women at the Ujungpandang Baru Community Health Center. This study used a descriptive method. Mobilization and personal hygiene factors were related to perineal suture wound healing and tradition was not related to perineal suture wound healing.

Abstract

Free radicals are toxic by-products of aerobic metabolism and can cause oxidative damage and tissue dysfunction. Antioxidants can play a role in overcoming excess free radicals in the body by capturing free radicals and preventing chain reactions. Orange bitter melon leaves and sweet potato leaves are considered to contain flavonoids and anthocyanins that act as antioxidants. Therefore, a biscuit innovation was made with orange and sweet potato benalu leaf powder with antioxidants. This study aimed to determine the antioxidant content of biscuits with a combination of orange and sweet potato leaf powder. The biscuits were tested for water content and hedonic and antioxidant activity test using the DPPH method. The antioxidant test results showed that the IC50 value was 179.753, with a moisture content value of 2.21%. Hedonic test results show that the most preferred taste is in F1 because the use of the right simplisia powder ratio can provide an alluring taste. Things that must be considered from this study are that further experiments need to be carried out regarding the effect of giving biscuits containing antioxidants.
