Abstract

Children who experience abnormalities or disabilities in their physical condition, namely damage to the muscular, bone, and joint systems caused by disease, accidents, congenital, and brain damage are called children with disabilities. The purpose of collecting this data is to obtain the views of the community in the form of empathy and stereotypes directed at children with disabilities. This research method uses a qualitative research method. By using data collection techniques obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed to understand issues related to the community's views on children with special needs (physical disabilities). The subjects of this study focused on the surrounding community, namely, among others, the surrounding community and teachers at Special School. Based on the research that has been conducted, there are two results obtained regarding the community's views on children with special needs with disabilities. First, the community views that children with disabilities have problems in carrying out learning activities. In fact, children with disabilities do not have obstacles in carrying out learning activities. Second, the community has various stigmas towards children with disabilities, the stigma about children with disabilities in the form of empathy must be given correctly without looking down on children with disabilities. At first, the public's view of children with disabilities was a negative or stereotypical view, but this view slowly changed into a positive view along with the development of the times. Thus, it is hoped that the public's view of children with disabilities will be better, provide appropriate empathy and not be dominated by excessive stereotypes in society.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the learning environment on student learning motivation at PGRI Silampari University, focusing on three dimensions: physical, social, and cultural aspects of the campus environment. The study was motivated by the phenomenon of declining learning motivation associated with an suboptimal learning environment. The objective of this research is to analyze the role of these three environmental aspects in promoting learning motivation. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews (with students and lecturers), and document analysis. Data were analyzed systematically through data reduction, information presentation, and verification using triangulation. The results of the study indicate that an adequate physical environment (such as comfortable classrooms, a well-equipped library, and green open spaces) enhances learning comfort. The social aspect, particularly harmonious relationships between lecturers and students as well as dynamic study groups, creates a conducive academic atmosphere. Meanwhile, a campus culture that encourages innovation and achievement through both academic and non-academic activities strengthens healthy competition. Based on these findings, the study recommends the balanced development of the three aspects of the learning environment to create an optimal educational environment for enhancing student motivation.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution and various international legal instruments. However, street children often face limited access to formal education due to various social and economic factors. Non-formal education emerges as an alternative solution to ensure their right to education is fulfilled. This study aims to provide a legal analysis of street children's access to non-formal education in Indonesia by examining relevant regulations and identifying implementation challenges. The research adopts a normative legal method with a statutory and conceptual approach. The findings indicate that despite the existence of several regulations—such as the National Education System Law and the Convention on the Rights of the Child—there is no specific national regulation that governs non-formal education for street children, leading to a legal vacuum in ensuring their educational rights. The implementation of non-formal education also faces persistent obstacles, including limited funding, inadequate infrastructure, and a lack of coordination among stakeholders. Moreover, affirmative policies designed to accommodate the unique needs of street children in non-formal education remain suboptimal. Unlike previous studies that are mostly sociological or descriptive in nature, this article provides an in-depth legal analysis of the regulatory framework for non-formal education targeted at street children, as well as a critical evaluation of its implementation in the context of children's rights. The study concludes that strengthening specific regulations and enhancing synergy among the government, educational institutions, and the community are crucial to effectively and sustainably uphold the educational rights of street children.

Abstract

To improve the quality of learning that is more participatory, integrated, and relevant, teachers must act quickly to implement learning innovations. The implementation of digital learning still faces challenges, such as limited internet access, teacher readiness, and the need to adjust content to the curriculum and student characteristics. The purpose of this study is to trigger a comprehensive discussion on how to use technology in teaching Indonesian, modify teaching strategies to accommodate different student learning preferences, and build a fun and satisfying learning environment. The data collection technique for this study uses library research. Research is carried out systematically to collect, process, and conclude data using certain methods/techniques to find answers to the problems faced in the study. Researchers need data from various literature sources in the form of books, previous research journals as sources of research data in order to obtain a theoretical basis for the problems to be studied. This study shows that students can get a more interesting, fun, and in-depth learning experience when interactive learning materials such as digital comics are used together with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology. Because the content looks more real and dynamic, students are more enthusiastic about following the learning process, which ultimately leads to greater motivation and deeper understanding of concepts. In addition, this method has been proven to reduce student boredom and increase active participation in the learning process.

Abstract

Many high school students still do not understand what their interests and talents are, so this has an impact on low learning motivation and lack of enthusiasm in following the learning process. In fact, learning motivation is one of the important factors that determine the success of education, and understanding interests and talents can be the key to increasing students' enthusiasm and learning achievement. This study aims to examine the relationship between interests and talents and learning motivation through a literature review approach to 20 relevant scientific journal articles. Previous research is used as the main source in examining the phenomenon being discussed, so that a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding can be obtained. The results of the analysis show that students who recognize their potential tend to be more active, enthusiastic, and achieve better learning outcomes, while lack of attention to individual potential can actually reduce learning enthusiasm. From these findings, it can be concluded that the role of teachers, schools, and families is very important in helping students recognize and develop their interests and talents. With the right support, students' learning motivation can be improved sustainably. The results of this study are expected to be practical input for educators and parents in designing a more personal learning approach that is in accordance with the potential of each student.

Abstract

In reality, biology learning processes in schools still employ conventional methods, where the teacher is the center of learning and students tend to be passive. Based on observations and interviews with biology teachers at MA Ma'arif Ambulu, it was revealed that the lack of student activeness and concentration has resulted in low student scores that have not met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC). Therefore, this study aims to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes on human immune system material by applying the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model in class XI IPA 1 MA Ma'arif Ambulu. The TPS learning model is a cooperative learning approach that involves three main steps: Think, Pair, and Share. This study was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method in class XI IPA 1 MA Ma'arif Ambulu, involving 21 students. The study focused on human immune system material and consisted of two cycles, with each cycle comprising two meetings. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and tests, and then analyzed using quantitative data analysis methods. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes, from a classical average of 38% in the pre-cycle to 71% in the second cycle, meeting the minimum mastery target. Thus, TPS is effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes on human immune system material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the improvement of learning outcomes among Grade XI.C students of SMAN 1 Kupang through the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach using differentiated learning. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research sample consisted of 28 students from class XI.C. The findings indicated a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes through the application of the Teaching at the Right Level approach. This was evidenced by the substantial increase in achievement across each cycle: during the pre-cycle, 17.71% of students achieved mastery, which rose to 42.85% in Cycle I, and further increased to 85.71% in Cycle II. Therefore, the Teaching at the Right Level approach through differentiated learning was proven effective in improving students’ learning outcomes.
