Abstract

Balinese literature is a literary work that was born and developed in Bali. Balinese literary works as a description of the life and culture of the Balinese people. This study aims to explore the depiction of teacher figures in literary works in order to find out events related to the comparison of teacher roles contained in the Tresnané Leket Ring Danu Batur novel and the Bukit Buung Bukit Mentik novel. The type of data used in this study is qualitative data using three theories, namely the theory of structuralism, comparative literary theory and theory of meaning. The results of this study are (1) Tresnané Leket Ring Danu Batur novel and Bukit Buung Bukit Mentik novel consisting of a narrative structure which includes: incident, plot, setting, character / characterization, theme, mandate. (2) The comparison of teacher figures in literary works in the form of novels is based on the role of teachers such as teachers as designers, as movers, as motivators, and as evaluators. In the depictions of teachers in these two novels, there are several similarities and differences (3) The meaning of the teacher in these two novels such as morality, education, and sincerity. Keywords: Comparison, Role of Teacher, Novel

Abstract

This paper is intended to provide an overview about the participation of stakeholders in improving the quality of education, especially providing input in the curriculum evaluation for Religious Literature and Balinese Language Education Program. The demands on higher education (college) are now wider, not only in terms of quantity and academic standards, but also the entire higher education program must prove their quality or quality of its education. To meet the demands of improving the quality of education, there are three factors that must be given attention, namely hardware which consists of facilities and infrastructure, human ware which consists of educators and education staff, and software consisting of curriculum and teaching methods. The curriculum is a very important starting point in realizing the quality of education. Through the curriculum evaluation which involves the participation of stakeholders, they are expected to provide input on improving the quality of education. But in reality the involvement of stakeholders in curriculum evaluation is still lacking, therefore it is necessary to study the active role of stakeholders in their participation in the curriculum evaluation process. The three stakeholders, namely the government, society and educational institutions, have a very big role in developing the curriculum for the Religious Literature and Balinese Language Education Program, STAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja through curriculum evaluation.Keywords: stakeholders, education quality, curriculum evaluation.

Abstract

Balinese language is one of the regional languages in Indonesia, which is not only a reflection of a community, but also a reflection of all aspects of people's lives. As one of the regional languages, Balinese language has variations or variations of languages. The variety of Balinese languages can be seen regionally can be divided into two major variations namely the mountainous dialect and the Balinese dialect, each of which has a subdialect. The range of mountain dialects is also called the village dialect (characteristic of certain villages/regions), while the Balinese dialect of the plains develops into Sor Singgih Basa Bali which consist of several levels including basa kasar, basa andap, basa madia, basa alus and basa mider. There are a lot of varieties of Balinese languages that as a teacher has the role of maintaining the Balinese language by acting as a facilitator, motivator, booster, learning engineer and learning inspiration for students. Abstract

AbstractGeguritan Dukuh Wanasari is a part of Bali Purwa literature (traditional literature) in the form of narrative poetry. Geguritan Dukuh Wanasari tells about Wayan Cita's friendship. Wayan Cita has three friends. They are I Wayan Satwa, I Made Rajas, and I Ketut Tamas who have different characters. These different characters have an impact on their friendship, especially on I Citas life. This qualitative research uses descriptive methods in explaining the results of the research. The object of the research was taken from the book Geguritan Dukuh Wanasari in 1997. It was transliterated and translated by I Made Sudiarga. The results showed that there three figures in Geguritan Dukuh Wanasari. They are Dukuh Wanasara, I Wayan Cita, I Wayan Satwa, I Made Rajas, and I Ketut Tamas. They have different characters depending on what they have learned and believe. Dukuh Wanasari and I Satwa always learn about self-improvement through literatures and religious belief. On the other hand, I Rajas and I Tamas always try to pursue temporary worldly happiness. I Cita was described as a figurewho is not very persistent and easily influenced. The friendship between I Cita and I Satwa reflects the value of satya Mitra. Their friendship has a good influence on their lives because they can control themselves and practice religious teachings well. However, the friendship of I Cita, I Rajas, and I Tamas reflects a value of mitradohaka that has a bad impact on their future and ends in death.Keywords: friendship, satya mitra, mitradohaka

Abstract

Kekawinas a literary works contain a deep variety of poetic value in every word and sentence. Anauthorchoosesdiction with full of aesthetic and poetic calculations to create a stylistic that makes the reader drift away in his verses. Kekawin Smaradahana by Mpu Dharmaja is an Old Javanese literary work that indulges readers with interpretations of stylistics. The consciousness of worshiping Shiva is represented by the romance of Smara-Ratih which gives birth to puspa hredaya, the highest form of consciousness. This research reveals the existence of stylistics in Kekawin Smaradahana, using Pierce's semiotic theory. The signs of poetic language will be presented through the interpretation of the Puspa Hredaya structure.Keywords:puspa hredaya, stylistic, kekawin smaradahana.

Abstract

Tradisi muhu-muhu merupakan salah satu tradisi yang berasal dari Desa Adat Tenganan Pagringsingan yang masih dilestarikan hingga saat ini. Tradisi muhu-muhu merupakan salah satu bentuk Hitaning Bhuana atau harmonisasi dunia dengan mengembalikan segala unsur di Bhuana Agung dan Bhuana Alit kembali pada tempatnya, yang dilaksanakan oleh krama desa di Desa Adat Tenganan Pegringsingan. Tradisi ini memberikan makna mendalam bagaimana pentingnya manusia membangun nilai-nilai yang mencerminkan keharmonisan secara skala dan niskala yang dituangkan dalam prosesi ritual keagamaan dengan serangkaian upacarAnya.Kata kunci: Bali Aga, Hitaning Bhuwana Gumi, Muhu-Muhu

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan unsur penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Dengan pendidikan, manusia menjadi pribadi yang lebih baik dalam segi pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta sikap. Pendidikan bukan hanya dilaksanakan oleh lembaga formal saja, namun termasuk lembaga nonformal. Salah satunya di masyarakat Bali yang dilaksanakan oleh desa Pakraman. Salah satu desa yang menerapkan pendidikan bagi generasi muda adalah Desa Pakraman Bukih, melalui Daa Truna dengan fokus menggunakan sistem Ulu Apad sebagai bentuk miniatur dari Desa Pakraman Bukih. Secara umum, nilai pendidikan yang muncul dalam Daa Truna yang menggunakan Ulu Apad yaitu nilai tradisi, nilai gotong royong, nilai keagamaan, nilai kekeluargaan, dan pendidikan menuju greastra asrama.Kata kunci: Ulu Apad, Pendidikan Karakter, Daa Truna

Abstract

Respect in speaking Balinese will create an antipathy attitude towards Balinese. Therefore, the Balinese language (especially a form of respect) must be managed properly so as not to create an antipathic attitude towards Balinese, especially by future generations. It is important to make an agreement and understanding of the Balinese people themselves in order to maintain the great Balinese culture! All of this can work well if formal educational institutions want to improve, want to review Balinese language teaching materials from kindergarten to tertiary levels. In making teaching materials, it is appropriate to adopt elements of regional culture and modern culture in a balanced manner. Thus, in terms of maintenance (local elements) and development (modern elements) there will be a balance so that the Balinese language is able to survive and is in demand by its speakers. Abstract

Teaching Balinese script to multiethnic students faces several challenges including the difficulty of teachers preparing learning tools, so teachers are required to prepare interesting material without having to ignore the learning objectives. In the learning process, students also experience difficulties due to the large number of students who do not have the basics of Balinese script so that it is very difficult for them to take lessons in reading Balinese script, besides that there are many uger-uger Balinese script so that they become confused and have implications for interest in learning Balinese. While the efforts made are trying to prepare learning tools properly, with the hope that students will have more fun in the process of learning to read Balinese scripted texts, the teacher also always provides motivation so that students want to read and learn Balinese script, the teacher seeks to create a conducive learning environment, and the teacher always try to use a variety of teaching methods.Keywords: Balinese language teaching, multiethnic students

Abstract

Pergub Bali Number 80 of 2018 concerning the Protection and Use of Balinese Language, Literacy and Literature and the Implementation of the Bali Language Month is to be like an oasis for lovers and observers of Balinese language, script and literature. With this regulation, the Balinese script in particular gained wider scope in the public sphere. Thus, Balinese script extends not only to Balinese but to international languages as Balinese itself is a world tourist destination. Government agencies, educational institutions, and the private sector have simultaneously followed the policy. A number of business entities have tried to put the Balinese script on the nameplate, but there are still many mistakes that occur. For this reason, it is necessary to have guidelines for writing foreign languages into the Balinese script. Some things that should be considered in writing a foreign language into Balinese are determining the pronunciation of the language as a starting point. Then the pronunciation is determined according to the sound system and the Balinese script spelling system is equipped with several corrections.    Keywords: foreign language, Balinese script, pergub Bali
