Abstract

Mastery of computer programming has become an urgent need in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, especially for Vocational High School (SMK) students who are prepared to enter the workforce directly. However, SMK Panji Karya 3 still faces obstacles in improving students' programming competencies, particularly in Python, due to limited teaching materials and practical training. This community service activity aims to improve students' programming competencies through structured Python training. The methods used include interactive lectures, hands-on practice, and mentoring on small projects. The results of the activity show a significant increase in the understanding of basic programming concepts (such as variables, branching, looping, and functions) and the ability to solve simple case studies. Furthermore, students' enthusiasm and independence in writing code have increased significantly. This training makes a real contribution to preparing SMK Panji Karya 3 students to face the challenges of industry and the workforce.

Abstract

The metal Small and Medium Industry (SMI) sector possesses a high potential for workplace accidents, yet awareness regarding Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) often remains low. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge, awareness, and skills of workers at CV. Sispra Jaya Logam in implementing OSH principles. The topic was selected due to the partner's high-risk production activities, such as metal cutting and welding, while the implementation of safe work procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the site were still limited. The implementation method included OSH concept socialization, classroom training through presentations and discussions, field practice involving PPE simulations and hazard identification, as well as evaluations through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed a significant increase in the participants' technical competence. Based on the evaluation, the workers' understanding of OSH improved from an average below 50% before the training to a range between 87% and 100% afterward. Workers are now able to identify potential hazards and understand proper PPE procedures. In conclusion, this activity proved effective in fostering a culture of safety within the SMI environment. The importance of these results lies in creating a healthier and more productive work environment, highlighting the need for continuous assistance to ensure OSH principles are consistently applied in daily production activities.

Abstract

Childhood obesity in Indonesia is rising due to nutritional transition and sedentary lifestyles. This study aims to analyze obesity trends in children and toddlers (2014–2024) and their contributing factors. The method of this research is a descriptive literature review using secondary data (Riskesdas, BPS, UNICEF) via purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that prevalence is fluctuating, rising from 1.6% (2015) to a peak of 8% (2018), and eventually reaching 3.4% (2024). Key drivers include high-energy food intake, physical inactivity due to gadgets, and parenting styles. From this study it can be concluded that Strengthening nutritional surveillance and community-based interventions through Posyandu and families is vital for sustainable obesity control.

Abstract

Agricultural machinery application training was part of the Student Community Service Program from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. This community service activity was partnered with the Farmers Group in Palrejo Village, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency, East Java Province. The Problems of the Palrejo Farmers Group in the production aspect was that farmers' income was not optimal due to high labor costs during rice planting and the large use of water pump fuel during the dry season. Meanwhile, from the management aspect, the farmer group did not yet have assets in the form of fuel-efficient rice planting machines or rice field water pumps. The solution to overcome the problems of Poktan Palrejo was that the implementation team donated three units of rice planting machines (rice transplanters) to reduce labor costs, and one unit of a water pump machine fueled by Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which was more fuel-efficient during the dry season. Training on the use of both machines was also provided. This service method consisted of the provision or grant of agricultural machinery assets and training in their application. The results achieved from this community service activity were that the Farmer Group had three units of rice planting machines, one unit of an LPG-fueled rice field water pump, and increased resources in the form of skills to use these two tools.

Abstract

Preparing education funds is crucial for ensuring a quality education for children. Providing a good education aligned with the family's vision and mission is a parental responsibility and a child's right to receive a proper education. Therefore, parents need to prepare a financial budget to realize their children's dreams, taking into account all their abilities. The purpose of this community service activity is to raise awareness and understanding among housewives in Sungai Sibam Village regarding preparing education funds for their children. This community service activity is carried out through a lecture method, providing information on the importance of preparing education funds for children, simulating the calculation of education funds for children, the steps that can be taken to start preparing education funds, and teaching various investment instrument options that can be used to manage children's education funds. Through this outreach activity, it is hoped that mothers who participate in the community service activity will begin to focus on preparing education funds for their children and then begin to understand the most appropriate investment instruments to choose according to the specified education period. Thus, with this outreach on education funds, it is hoped that parents will be able to provide the best education for their children and maintain healthy family finances without debt.

Abstract

Turmeric is a plant with numerous health benefits. The most commonly used parts are the rhizome and the leaves. Generally, people use the rhizome as a cooking spice. Given the curcumin content in turmeric rhizomes, it should be developed into health-promoting beverages, such as Turmeric and Tamarind Jamu. This herbal drink is excellent for maintaining health, so the community in RT 04 Labuhan Ratu, Bandar Lampung, needs training in making Turmeric and Tamarind Jamu. The well-balanced composition of Turmeric and Tamarind Jamu can provide benefits by adding a refreshing flavor. Following the training on making Turmeric and Tamarind Jamu, there was an increase in knowledge among the participants. The initial pre-test score was 62.5 and after the training, the post-test score increased to 85. This represents an increase of 22.5 points.

Abstract

Community service is one of the manifestations of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which channels the needs of the community with academic competence. Pamulang University through the Accounting Study Program in collaboration with the Pondok Serut Residents Hall partner carried out a Community Service (PKM) activity on May 10, 2026 which aims to increase public understanding, especially the younger generation, regarding how to implement a proper frugal lifestyle and smart financial management in the digital era. The material presented in this activity raised a theme entitled "Gen-z's Frugal & Financially Smart Lifestyle", which shows that after participating in the activity, participants gain a better understanding of how to manage finances wisely with specific strategies, can distinguish needs and wants, and build healthy finances and make smarter financial decisions to achieve economic stability in the future.

Abstract

The transformation of national education has encouraged educational inastitutions to implement student-centered learning that focuses on the holistic development of competencies. One of the approaches being promoted is deep learning, which emphasizes meaningful, reflective, and contextual learning experiences. However, the implementation of this approach in early childhood education still faces various challenges, particularly teacher’s limited understanding of its concept and implementation strategies. This community services program aimed to enhance the competencies of teachers at Aisyiyah Early Childhood Education Centers in Kebnaggan, Banyumas Regency, in understanding and implementing deep learning. The program was conducted through several stages, including needs assesment, concept dissemination, training workshops, lesson plan development practice, refelection, and evaluation. A total of 25 early childhood education teachers participated in the program, which was implemented using a participatory approach through interactive lectures, group discussions, learning video analysis, and group presentations. The results indicated and improvement in participants’ understanding of deep learning concept as well as their ability to design learning activities that integrated the dimensions of character development (olah hat), intellectual development (olah pikir), emotional and asesthetic development (olah rasa), and physical decelopment (olah raga0. Furthermore, participants demonstretad strong enthusiasm in developing more meaningful learning activities for young children. This program contributed to strengtheningbteacher’s pedagogical competencies and supported the implementation of educational transformation policies in early chlidhood education.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is an essential aspect of health that should be maintained by everyone, including adolescent girls. Proper personal hygiene is particularly important during menstruation to prevent reproductive tract infections and other reproductive health problems. In addition, the regular monthly menstrual cycle in adolescent girls is closely associated with efforts to maintain stable hemoglobin levels and prevent anemia. However, many adolescent girls have insufficient knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene management and anemia prevention. Similar challenges related to inadequate knowledge and practices of personal hygiene, as well as poor adherence to iron and folic acid supplementation (IFAS), were identified among female students at SMP Negeri 1 Kupang Tengah, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. This community service program aimed to improve knowledge and practices related to menstrual personal hygiene and to enhance motivation for regular IFAS consumption among adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 1 Kupang Tengah. The activities included health education sessions, group discussions, and demonstrations on menstrual personal hygiene; measurements of height and weight; hemoglobin screening; simultaneous distribution and supervised consumption of IFAS tablets; and the provision of hygiene kits containing sanitary pads and reusable water bottles. The results of the program demonstrated improved knowledge and strengthened commitment among the students to practice proper menstrual hygiene and to consume IFAS tablets regularly. Furthermore, teachers expressed their willingness to mentor the adolescent health peer group established following the program. The active participation of both students and teachers in this peer health group is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability of the program outcomes.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to improve the user experience of KMS Digital in posyandu services in Lebakwangi Village, Arjasari Subdistrict, Bandung Regency. The activity continued the previous implementation of KMS Digital as a digital tool for recording and monitoring toddler growth. During early use, several cadres reported that the application was not yet fully convenient, especially for older cadres. The main obstacles were related to a relatively long workflow, an interface that still needed clearer visual organization, and navigation that was not yet fully aligned with the daily practices of posyandu users. Based on this feedback, the 2026 activity placed usability at the center of the improvement process. The work included reorganizing the interface, simplifying the recording flow, strengthening data validation and reporting, and providing direct assistance to users. The stages consisted of reviewing the existing application, collecting user feedback, improving key features, conducting socialization, assisting users, and evaluating partner satisfaction. The revised components included the landing page, cadre dashboard, toddler detail page, parent list, monthly report, and health worker workspace. The socialization activity was held on June 19, 2026, in Lebakwangi Village and involved 24 participants. The questionnaire results showed that 72.50% of responses were in the agree category and 24.17% were in the strongly agree category. Together, these responses reached 96.67%, indicating strong acceptance from the partner community without any rejection. The results suggest that improving KMS Digital based on user needs can increase cadres acceptance of digital systems. Therefore, posyandu digitalization should not be viewed merely as the provision of an application, but as a process of aligning technology with the capacity and field conditions of users. A more elderly-friendly KMS Digital is expected to support more practical recording, monitoring, and reporting of toddler growth.
