Jurnal Eksperimental merupakan media ilmiah pendidikan bagi guru madrasah ibtidaiyah yang diterbitkan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah STI Tarbiyah Al-Hilal Sigli. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali setahun yaitu pada bulan Juli dan Desember. Selanjutnya, jurnal ini diterbitkan dalam dua versi, yaitu cetak dan online. Fokus jurnal ini memuat artikel-artikel penelitian tentang Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah/Pendidikan Guru SD/MI/SD, seperti analisis kompetensi, strategi pembelajaran, teori pembelajaran, pengembangan pembelajaran, profesionalisme pendidik, dan hasil penelitian. Reviewer akan meninjau setiap makalah yang dikirimkan ke redaksi jurnal eksperimental.

Abstract

The use of methods that are not good in the teaching and learning process can weaken students' creative thinking abilities, reduce cognitive abilities, eliminate critical thinking, and do not establish optimal interaction between teachers and students. Deficiency results in decline and decline in education. The open-ended approach is a problem formulation that is used openly in problem solving, to find out how the teacher's efforts in teaching and student activities improve the creative thinking process. This study used qualitative research methods. Qualitative research seeks to describe, reveal, and explain symptoms or phenomena that occur in the field by describing and analyzing them. The technique of data collection was carried out by conducting library research, observation, interviews and documentation. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Mila, Pidie Regency. Data analysis is done by giving meaning to the data that has been generated and from that meaning a conclusion can be drawn. Checking the validity of the data is done by using data triangulation techniques, by comparing data from the results of literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The process of students' creative thinking activities in learning through an open-ended approach shows that students are increasingly focused, enthusiastic in participating in the learning process, students feel interested in learning openly, are happy and excited, participate and show responses in obtaining curiosity about the problems being studied. Students' creative thinking abilities on the tasamuh subject are students who have a smooth learning process and are able to present their ideas, have curiosity about the problems discussed, have the courage to express opinions with confidence, are able to explore and understand problems well and show sensitivity. In the process of increasing students' creative thinking through an open-ended approach, there are several problems and advantages of its own.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the achievement and improvement of students' mathematical communication skills of SMP 1 Lembang on the material of straight line functions and equations, as well as examine the interaction between learning and KAM on improving students' mathematical communication skills. This research is a quasi-experimental research with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students in one of the junior high schools in Lembang. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling. The sample consisted of two classes, the experimental class which received learning with a contextual approach, and the control class which received expository learning. The instrument used is in the form of students' communication ability test questions. The findings of this study are: (1) The achievement and improvement of mathematical communication skills of students who receive learning using a contextual approach is better than students who receive ordinary learning both as a whole and in KAM. (2) There is no interaction between learning and KAM (high, medium, low) on the achievement of students' mathematical communication skills

Abstract

The problem in the research is that the implementation of Indonesian language learning in SD Negeri Teubeng is not optimal, especially for fourth grade students. From the observations obtained, that in the implementation of teaching and learning activities the teacher has not been able to develop students' awareness of self-confidence in learning. Most of the students were afraid so they did not dare to speak about mastering the language. The problem of this classroom action research is whether the ability to speak by telephone can be improved by using the role-playing method in class IV SD Negeri 1 Teubeng. The aim of the study was to improve students' speaking skills by telephone by using the role-playing method in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 1 Teubeng. The subjects in this study were all fourth grade students, totaling 32 people. Data collection techniques carried out in this study were teacher activity observation sheets and student activity observation sheets during the implementation of learning through the role playing method and the results of the cycle action test. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles. Based on the results of this classroom action research, it shows a gradual increase in each cycle. From the results of the first cycle of action research, the average value of students was 67.5% with classical learning completeness of 68.75%, then in the second cycle, the average value increased to 76.04% with classical completeness of 87.5 %. Based on these results, it can be concluded that through the role playing method, fourth grade students of Negeri 1 Teubeng can improve their speaking skills by telephone in learning Indonesian

Abstract

The research scrutinized the language appropriateness of the thesis writing at PGMI students PTI Al-Hilal Sigli. The aim of the study was to find out the incorrect writing forms which do not officially fit to the standard rule of Indonesian language and the form of scientific writing. The method used was Evaluative. The researcher took five theses as the data source in this study. Each thesis was analysed precisely. The findings came up with some incorrectness in theses-writing which did not suit the standardrule of Indonesian language. Most of writers composed such long-ambigous sentences. Furthermore, they also ignored the right use of punctuations and conjunctions. As a result, sentences werenot coherent and not understandable.

Abstract

School management is one of the factors that affect the education quality. This is because school management will influence and define the effectiveness of the curriculum, numerous learning tools, teaching time and the learning process. School management is the process of employing all school resources run through rational and systematic act (comprising; planning, organizing, actions and controlling) in order to reach school goals effectively and efficiently. Effective schools are under schools management which have characteristics: Supervisors, principals and teachers who have high attention to increase the quality of teaching, teachers who have high expectations to support student achievement, the climate of the school which is not firm, cool without pressure and conducive in the whole teaching process, the school has a wide understanding of the focus of teaching and struggles for the effectiveness of the school by using all school resources to achieve the goals completely, effective schools can guarantee the progress of students that are monitored periodically.

Abstract

The problem in this study was there were a lot of students at SDN 2 Tijue who had low competence in reading skill. The fact indicated that there were still many students who spell, could not distinguish letters, adding the word and reducing word. This study aims to determine the effect of reading skills by using the index card match method for second grade students at SDN 2 Tijue, Pidie District. The population in this study were all students of second grade at SDN 2 Tijue. The number of the students were 50 while the samples in this study were class II as many as 50 students. The result of the study showed t count > t table. The result was 2,655 > 1,711 and df 48. It showed that there was an effect of the index card match method on reading skills of at second grade students in Pidie District.

Abstract

In teaching and learning activities, one of the main competences and professional skills that must be grasped by educators is the ability of the field of education and teacher training, especially related to learning models. This research is a Classroom Action Research. Data collection is carried out by planning, actiing, observing, and reflecting. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The results showed that the acquisition of student learning outcomes with the average value in the first cycle of the average value obtained by students was 68.13, the second cycle the average value was 75.42 and the third cycle the average value was 83.75. The percentage of successful students in learning; cycle I: 58.33%, cycle II: 79.17%, and cycle III: 95.83%. Thus it can be concluded, the application of the STAD Cooperative type can improve student learning outcomes, and teachers also improve their skills in using the STAD model. So, the students are encouraged and more enthusiastic to join and understand the Science (IPA) lessons. To develop students' abilities in the science learning process, teachers should use the STAD model so that students are able to understand the material in science learning.

Abstract

Lack of questions and answers and group discussions built by the teacher in conducting learning in the classroom so that students are less effective and students cannot learn actively. The ability and responsibility of teachers in choosing learning methods or models that are suitable and in accordance with teaching material in a learning process determine the continuity of learning, teachers still use conventional learning models that make students passive in class. Therefore, students' communication skills are very low which causes student learning outcomes to be based on an average. Thus the cooperative learning model Talking Chips type is needed which applies to be adapted to teaching materials in order to improve students' abilities in communication, and can improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of a jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning in class X MAN 2 Pidie Jaya. This type of research is quantitative research. The design of this study is planning, design, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. Data analysis was performed descriptively. The results of the data analysis showed that the acquisition of the pre-test results of students 'mathematics learning with an average of 60. Then apply the jigsaw cooperative learning model for three meetings, at the end of the lesson a post-test evaluation is given to see the students' abilities after applying the jigsaw cooperative learning model. The results of data analysis showed that the students' mathematics learning pre-test results obtained an average of 84.4. Thus it can be concluded, the jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes, and the teacher always improves his skills in using the jigsaw cooperative learning model so that students are not bored and are more enthusiastic about participating in lessons and understanding mathematics learning

Abstract

Science is the one of the discipline which probes the complex natural phenomena, that the learning should facilitate with the certain tools to aid students to understand its complexity. One of the solution to help Science is integrated component instrument (KIT). The research is done to notice the students’ skill in doing their experiment by using KIT. The sample were 30 students of PGMI. The instrument used in this research observation sheets and questionnaire that had been set based on certain aspects. Overall, the questionnaire result was 72% which categorized as good. The observation reported if generally the student’ skill in KIT activity got 64% or characterized by fair place. At last, the highest scores was obtained in attitude aspect either through questionnaire or observation.
