Abstract

Helmet theft is a common problem for motorcycle users, especially on campuses. An Internet of Things (IoT) security system with location access via Telegram is designed to enhance helmet security. This system uses the HC-05 Bluetooth module as a master on the motorcycle and a slave on the helmet. If the connection is lost, a buzzer will sound and the ESP8266 module will send a notification to Telegram. The SIM900A module receives user commands, allowing them to send a "FIND" message to determine the location of the helmet or motorcycle based on data from the GPS module. This system enables real-time monitoring and tracking of lost helmets via Telegram.

Abstract

Design a multifunction tool that includes a clothes folder and freshener. Additional features of this design are clothing sterilization with UV lamps and automatic calculations. This design aims to smooth and increase efficiency in the clothing care process. This tool is designed to provide a comprehensive solution for caring for everyday clothes quickly and effectively. This tool combines several main functions: first, an automatic folder that uses a mechanical system and sensors to precisely fold clothes of various types and sizes. Second, a fragrance feature that sprays a fresh aroma onto clothes after being folded, increasing freshness and comfort when used. Third, the sterilization system uses UV lights to kill germs and microorganisms that may be on clothes, maintaining user cleanliness and health. Finally, the automatic calculation feature controls the number of clothes processed and provides reports automatically to users. The tool is equipped with a smart user interface, allowing users to easily manage and monitor the clothing care process. With this multifunctional tool, it is hoped that it can reduce the time and energy needed to care for clothes and increase comfort and cleanliness for users. The results obtained are that design tools can provide tidiness, cleanliness and protect against bacteria. The range of folding clothes using the tool is 5 minutes.

Abstract

Chess is a popular sport known as a brian teaser game. The word chess it self is an abbreviation of chaturaga which means four corners. Generally, the playing time for a game is 10 – 15 minutes for a fast game, while for a long game the time game can be up to 30 minutes or even an hour. In this final proof, the author creates a chess clock which is used as a tool for calculating time in chess games. This tool was created to create more efficient time when playing chess. The method for making this tool uses Arduino Uno Atemega328 as a control system with input from push-button which is then displayed on the LCD which will be used as a display to set the running time of the game. Then the IM tool is also equipped with a Buzzer as a marker and detector if one of the chess players’ time has ended. In the tool that author created, the time can be set for minutes, around 99 minutes, then for seconds, around 59 seconds.

Abstract

This research discusses the monitoring system on isolation transformers that play an important role in the electric power system, especially in maintaining operational performance and safety. Isolation transformers are used to separate two parts that are under voltage and protect equipment from electrical interference. The designed monitoring system aims to monitor critical parameters such as voltage, current, and temperature of the transformer in real-time using a TCP/IP-based control module connected to a PC. The methods used include temperature monitoring through sensors that control cooling fans to prevent overheating, as well as monitoring the trip status of electrical loads to detect and prevent electrical faults. The data obtained is displayed through the Node-RED application to facilitate performance analysis. The results show that this system is effective in improving the reliability and safety of transformers with preventive measures against potential damage. The use of modern technology and the integration of an automatic monitoring system not only improves efficiency but also provides a preventive solution to maintain the operational stability of isolation transformers.

Abstract

Some of the main causes of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases are due to bad air pollution. Not all areas have SPKUAs, such as Sungailiat, Bangka Belitung. Areas with worse air pollution are prioritized for SPKUA installation. In addition, cost and complex installation factors are barriers to SPKUA distribution. To overcome these problems, this research developed an air quality monitoring device IoT-based that is more efficient, easy to use, portable and IoT-based. This research aims to create an IoT-based air quality monitoring device using ESP32, MQ sensor, DHT22 sensor and dust sensor. The process includes designing, and creating an air quality monitoring program, designing electrical and hardware then making and integrating software and hardware, and testing the air quality monitoring device. That this IoT-based air quality monitoring device can detect and measure important factors for air quality. Overall, the goal of this project to provide an efficient and effective air quality monitoring solution has been achieved. The system can provide real-time air condition information, which is highly beneficial for environmental, health, and public safety purposes.

Abstract

With current advances in technology, an automatic nurse call display system was designed that patients can easily ask for help from a nurse via a calling device that is connected wirelessly to the display unit in the nurse's room. This research aims to design and implement an automatic nurse call display system which is expected to increase the efficiency and responsiveness of nursing services in hospitals. When the patient presses the button in the Blynk application, the display will receive a signal which will display the patient's room number, patient name, and what complaint the patient needs. The method used in making this automatic nurse call display is controlled by an Arduino Uno microcontroller and uses ESP32 as a tool to transmit data between the patient call device and the display unit in the nurse's room. The results of this study indicate that the system works well by reducing nursing staff response time and increasing patient satisfaction. In other words, the conclusion is that this system works by sending signals from the patient calling device to the display unit in the nurse's station to display requests for help in real-time.

Abstract

Technological advancements in the industry and electrical fields have led to almost all equipment requiring electricity. Electric motors,which convert electrical energy into mechanical energy,are continuously evolving to enhance efficiency and performance. BrushlessDC (BLDC) motors are one type of motor used in various industries due to their high efficiency, high torque, and low noise. Unlike conventional DC motors, BLDC motors use electronic commutation, resulting in smoother rotation and lower noise. The purpose of this research is to design and develop a BLCD Motor Trainer Kit that includes key components such as the BLCD motor, microcontroller control (Arduino Uno), Programming, interfacing. This model allows students to understand the basic concepts, working principles, and applications of BLCD motors in real-time, as well as develop practical skills. The integration of this Trainer Kit into the curriculum is expected to enhance students’ understanding of Brushless DC motors.

Abstract

The Bangka Belitung region is a province in Indonesia with abundant water resources. However, the water quality in this area often does not meet health standards, prompting residents to seek alternative sources of clean and hygienic drinking water. One chosen solution is refillable drinking water depots. One such depot is Alam Water, located in Air Ruai, Pemali District, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands. However, the process of transferring gallons from the filling station to the distribution truck is still done manually by workers, leading to suboptimal productivity. This study aims to design and create a gallon transfer tool capable of transporting two 18.92-liter gallons. The research method follows the VDI 2222 methodology, which includes planning, concept, design, and completion stages. The result of this method is the development of a gallon transfer tool capable of transporting two 18.92-liter gallons, tested by transferring gallons from the filling station to the distribution truck 25 times, with a total time of 365.02 seconds or approximately 6.083 minutes.

Abstract

Endmill cutting edges are one of the many cutting tools found in machining processes. Apart from that, endmill are blades made of highspeed metal (HSS), cobalt and tungsten carbide. Endmills often function as a medium for making holes, profiling, contouring, slotting, counterboring, drilling, reaming and faching. In endmill sharpening, we often still sharpen manually. One of which is found in the lotus and bongman workshops. The drawback that results from this manual sharpening system is that it is limited by time. Uniformity of cutting angles, and physical injuries experienced by the endmill and the operator who carries it out. With this, we got the results of the design of an endmill cutting machine with a drive system using an electric motor with a specification of 0.5hp with an rpm of 2760. For the corner sharpening system using a shaft sleeve connected to a drill chuck and using a groove direction indicator, the movement of the division is shown in a sliding movement with 1 line calculated as 1mm offeed. On the findings on the design of an endmill cutting edge sharpening machine.

Abstract

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has emerged as an innovative solution to improve payment systems and balance top ups. The system uses radio waves to conduct contactless transactions, allowing users to top up balances and make payments quickly and easily by simply bringing the RFID card or tag closer to a prepared reader. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of RFID technology in the payment system, assess its security, and analyze its effectiveness in reducing transaction time and operational costs. The methodology used includes data collection from case studies on several platforms that have implemented RFID technology for payments and balance top-ups. The analysis also included a survey of users to assess their satisfaction and response to the new system. The results showed that the use of RFID does offer faster transactions and a significant reduction in operational costs. In addition, security features developed as part of RFID technology, such as encryption and two-factor authentication, have been effective in reducing the risk of fraud and identity theft.
