Abstract

This study is Classroom Action Research aimed at elevating the English vocabulary proficiency of sixth-grade students regarding animals and assessing their perceptions of using Quizizz Paper Mode for vocabulary learning. The research procedure involved four stages: initial planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The study comprises 30 sixth-grade students from SDN Sanankulon 1 Blitar, with a combination of tests and questionnaires used for data collection. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' vocabulary proficiency, demonstrated by a substantial increase in their average scores from 56.10 before the initial action to 87.40 in the post-intervention assessment. Furthermore, questionnaire responses affirmed the positive reception of Quizizz Paper Mode as an effective tool for vocabulary learning, reinforcing the research outcomes. These findings hold promise for educators seeking innovative approaches to enhance vocabulary acquisition among elementary school students, emphasizing the potential of technology-based tools like Quizizz Paper Mode to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

Abstract

Education is very important in human intelligence. This article aims to describe models of educational policy development. This research uses qualitative research with a literature study approach. The results of this research show that the education policy model consists of three things, namely: (1). Construction model, (2). Analysis model, and (3). Implementation model. Construction models include institutional models, system models, mixed survey models, process models, classical theoretical models, rational models, incremental models, strategic models, democratic models and group models, game models, and deliberative models

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the implementation of environmental care character in high schools located in Jakarta. This research focuses on the implementation of the environmental care program. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a case study approach whose steps refer to a book with steps including, selection of topics, determining research methods and designs, determining research informants, determining data and data sources, conducting data collection procedures, analyzing and interpreting data and checking data validity, the last step is writing the results of the research that has been done. The results of the study illustrate the role of the character of environmental care by the school and all school residents who have activities in the school. Not only to school residents, guests who are present in the school are also required to apply the character of environmental care. The implementation of character culture is something that must be applied for future school development. The implementation of character gradually and sustainably balanced by regular supervision by school community will shape the character in accordance with the national education system.

Abstract

The implementation of text-based language learning in the 2013 Curriculum resulted in changes to teaching materials according to the learning stages. Apart from that, the teaching materials that are prepared will be more complete if they contain character values that become the basis for students' behavior. This research aims to uncover the teaching materials and character values contained in Indonesian language teaching materials. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. The research data is in the form of Indonesian language teaching materials and character values sourced from Indonesian as a Vehicle for Knowledge: Class VIII (2014). The results of the research show that Indonesian language teaching materials have been prepared based on text-based learning stages although they need sharpening in building context in Chapters III and V. In addition, 15 character values were found, namely tolerance, caring for the environment, love of the country, nationalism, creativity, discipline , honest, curious, hard working, religious, democratic, communicative, socially caring, independent, responsible. The fifteen character values are spread across each chapter and learning stage.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' difficulties in understanding the material in depth so that students tend to be passive when learning and this affects their learning outcomes. The PBL model is an appropriate learning model for students to develop their knowledge and be actively involved in learning. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of applying the PBL model on students' critical thinking competence in class VII global warming material at MTsN 2 Jember. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. Research data was obtained using an observation sheet instrument to measure critical thinking competence. The research results have been tested using the independent samples t-test statistical test, obtaining a significance value of 0.000 for critical thinking competence, so it was decided that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the PBL model on students' critical thinking competence in global warming material in class VII MTsN 2 Jember.

Abstract

Education can be prepared carefully because it is a symbol of success in life. In fact, education requires interesting implementation and learning. Teachers are one of the implementers of teaching in schools, as a benchmark for success. With competent teachers and long experience in learning at school, the school will progress. This type of research uses descriptive analytics where researchers not only explain certain phenomena, but researchers participate in analyzing phenomena that occur in accordance with what occurs in the field. Learning resources are not only from textbooks, but can be obtained from books in the library. The use of library books can increase student motivation and improve writing by looking at the results of the sentence descriptions they write on student worksheets. In addition, students will be more active and enthusiastic in participating in learning as well as being able to creatively arrange words to fill in student worksheets.

Abstract

In this article the author discusses the influence of intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence on the mathematics learning outcomes of 8 junior high school students in Tangerang city. This study aims to determine the effect of intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence on math learning outcomes. The technique used in this research is survey method with multiple regression analysis research design which is selected and adjusted to the research hypothesis. The research was conducted in junior high schools in Tangerang city consisting of 3 schools, namely SMPN 3 with 84 students, SMPN 4 with 90 students and SMPN 23 with 89 students. Based on the results of the study, the t-count value is 0.513 < t-table 1.980, then H0 is accepted, it is concluded that there is no effect of academic potential, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence of students together on mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

The concept of conventional worksheets, which are currently widely used in elementary schools, in fact does not have much of a positive impact on science learning outcomes in class. Especially if used in differentiated learning that uses more than one learning method. To overcome this problem, researchers aim to develop Liveworksheet-based Interactive Digital Worksheets that can be used in digitally differentiated learning via PCs or Smartphones. This study uses a research and development methodology with a model popularized by Dick and Carey. The instruments used in this study were interviews, questionnaires and tests. The results of this study are Interactive LKPD on Liveworksheet-based Science learning. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test analysis, the researchers found significant differences in learning outcomes between these stages with satisfactory final results. So it can be concluded that the Liveworksheet-based Interactive LKPD is able to improve student learning outcomes in science learning in elementary schools

Abstract

The development of Society 5.0 requires 4C abilities (communication, collaboration, critical thinking & problem-solving, creativity, and innovation) for students. This ability can be built through language skills and achievements in learning Indonesian. This research aims to reveal how Indonesian language learning plans in higher education make critical thinking & problem-solving in students through scientific debate. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with Design-based Research (DBR). The results of this research show that the design of learning language skills through scientific debate, students can practice the four language skills: reading skill, speaking, listening, and writing. Apart from that, with scientific debates, students must think critically, find solutions to the cases raised in the debate, collaborate with teams to build arguments and practice communicating their arguments for the cases being discussed. Thus, learning Indonesian through scientific debate design is important in developing students' critical thinking skills in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Interracial marriages in Indonesia often cause many problems and communication barriers, the provisions relating to marriage are regulated by the state. Marriage between Malays and Pakistanis is the theme of this thesis. In the existing laws and regulations in Indonesia, marriage is clearly regulated, especially in mixed marriages of different nationalities. But marriage here is more about barriers and also the communication process in married life. The research theory here draws more on theories of behavior and cross-cultural communication. This is due to the existence of two or more legal systems used. Differences in the legal basis used and differences in interpreting the law are the main problems and communication barriers in mixed marriages. Departing from these problems, the author is interested in conducting research, with three problem formulations, namely (1) How do communication barriers from mixed marriages affect the life process ; (2) What are the research methods and data collected in this research; (3) What is the conclusion about communication barriers. The conclusion of this research is the resolution of communication barriers that arise from cross-cultural marriages between Malays and Pakistanis within the institution of marriage. Including the ins and outs of the differences between the two, and how to deal with communication barriers in marriage, even though there are several obstacles, there are always solutions and make the marriage relationship harmonious until now.
