Abstract

Student learning motivation is anything that drives student behavior, whether it arises within the student (intrinsic) or from outside the individual student (extrinsic). Learning motivation is very important in the learning process to achieve student success in learning. However, in fact the learning motivation of students at MA Al Musaddadiyah Garut shows that it is still low, this is evidenced by the findings of researchers on learning continuity, such as; there are students who skip school, are late for class, are lazy to do assignments, lack enthusiasm in learning, are bored in the learning process and are in class but do not pay attention to the teacher. Professional Skills Practice (PKP) is one of the training programs given to students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) study program which aims to train students to become professional teachers. Thus the researcher will reveal how the process of prospective PAI Teacher students forms himself, is printed his cognitive, mindset so that he is directed to become a profession as a teacher. The purpose of this study was to find out the implications of teacher professionalism and professional practice activities on student learning motivation at MA Al Musaddadiyah Garut for the 2022-2023 academic year. The method used is an analytical descriptive qualitative method, namely a method that aims to describe, describe, and describe in a comprehensive and complete manner related to research. The data sources used in this study are primary sources and secondary sources. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Abraham Maslow developed a model of a hierarchy of needs in understanding student learning motivation, namely: Physiological Needs, Safety Needs, Belongingnees and Love Needs, Esteem Needs, and Self-Actualization Needs. The results of this study indicate that the Implications of Teacher Professional Skills Practice Activities on Learning Motivation Students are able to fulfill 4 out of 5 indicators of learning motivation including Safety Needs, Belonging Needs and Love Needs, Esteem Needs, and Self-Actualization Needs. Abstract

Anti-corruption education is crucial for students to instill foundational knowledge and values that guard against engaging in corrupt practices in their future lives. Textbooks play a significant role in embedding these anti-corruption values as they contain the core educational material taught to students. This study aims to describe the anti-corruption values and their scope present in the Islamic Education and Character Development textbooks of the 2013 Curriculum for 12th Grade High School. This qualitative study uses a literature review approach based on written sources. The research employs descriptive methods and content analysis techniques to critically and constructively analyze the anti-corruption values and their scope within the Islamic Education and Character Development textbooks of the 2013 Curriculum for 12th Grade High School. The results of the study reveal four core anti-corruption values in the textbook: honesty, responsibility, fairness, and hard work. These values are specifically highlighted in Chapter 1, "Enthusiasm for Worship with Belief in the Hereafter," and Chapter 11, "Maximizing Oneself to Be the Best."  Keywords : Anti-Corruption Education Values, Islamic Education and Character Development Textbook, 2013 Curriculum, 12th Grade High School

Abstract

The diversity of society necessitates the establishment of conditions where its elements act tolerantly, respect, and value each other's differences with an equal stance. Failing to do so may lead to frictions, conflicts, and social disintegration. Currently, the collective mindset regarding multicultural national values is often dominated by a logos-centric and hegemonic perspective, rife with prejudice, suspicion, hatred, and reductionism towards those outside their own group. Consequently, social bonds through collectivity and cooperation are confined within the group itself, excluding others. This research aims to address the following primary issues: (1) To identify the multicultural values within the Qur'an, and (2) To understand the concept of multicultural education as depicted in the Qur'an. The study adopts a library research approach utilizing a comparative analytical method. This method is employed to analyze the multicultural values and compare the interpretations of various Islamic scholars regarding Qur'anic verses on multiculturalism. The findings of this research indicate that multicultural education is a learning approach that recognizes and embraces diversity, differences, and plurality in terms of race, culture, and language. Abstract

Cognitive learning outcomes are the results students achieve through learning processes that involve techniques such as memorization and retention, allowing them to master foundational knowledge or understand other concepts. To date, students' cognitive learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) have not developed satisfactorily. Issues include difficulties in understanding the material, inability to explain the concepts taught, and challenges in retaining information. Digital modules engage students actively in the learning process, potentially enhancing their cognitive learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the impact of using digital modules on students' cognitive learning outcomes in PAI instruction. The objective is to assess the relationship between the use of digital modules and the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative correlational. Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires distributed to 35 respondents, and documentation studies. Data processing is conducted through statistical data analysis. The findings of this research reveal that the use of digital modules in learning received an average rating of 4.26, categorized as very good. Additionally, the improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes in PAI instruction achieved an average rating of 4.32, also categorized as very good. Statistical tests indicate that the use of digital modules accounts for 62.12% of the variation in students' cognitive learning outcomes, aligning with the goals and functions of Islamic Religious Education. The remaining 37.88% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.  Keywords: Digital Modules, Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Islamic Religious Education Instruction.

Abstract

The Qur'an serves as a guide in human life, offering direction on various issues faced by humanity, including pre-marital considerations. Pre-marriage, or pranikah, is the initial step towards fulfilling the objectives of marriage. The Qur'an contains numerous verses that address pre-marital education, notably in Surah Al-Hujurat, Ayah 13. This particular verse encompasses several values pertinent to pre-marital education. This research aims to describe the pre-marital educational values contained in Surah Al-Hujurat, Ayah 13, from the perspective of Islamic Educational Science. This study adopts a library research methodology, involving an analysis of the interpretations provided by Islamic scholars (mufassir) on Surah Al-Hujurat, Ayah 13, and the educational pre-marital values as articulated by experts and religious scholars. The research utilizes a qualitative approach, focusing on content analysis of Surah Al-Hujurat, Ayah 13, and relevant texts. The findings suggest that the values embedded in Surah Al-Hujurat, Ayah 13, are associated with Akidah Education (Tarbiyatul Aqidah/Imaniyah), Shari'ah Education (Tarbiyatul Ibadah), and Akhlaq Education (Tarbiyatul Akhlaq). The pre-marital educational values derived from Surah Al-Hujurat, Ayah 13, in the context of Islamic Educational Science, emphasize the importance of faith in Allah SWT, who created mankind as male and female, and diversified them into various ethnicities and nations. This diversity necessitates mutual acquaintance or ta'aruf before entering marriage. By fostering trust and mutual understanding, individuals are encouraged to develop piety and devotion to Allah SWT. Abstract

Sufi ethics, or "akhlak tasawuf," is essential in today’s era of globalization as a means to mitigate moral degradation and address the gaps in human behavior towards oneself, fellow humans, and Allah SWT. Within Islamic Religious Education (PAI), the teachings of Sufi ethics emphasize spiritual growth and heart management. Generally, Sufi ethics instills religious spiritual values that foster noble moral behavior. Such noble behavior holds the promise of establishing a progressive civilization that does not neglect the divine values inherent in human life. Therefore, it is crucial to discuss the concept of Sufi ethics in PAI education as a solution to the ongoing moral degradation in society, aiming to cultivate noble character. The objective of this study is to manifest the implementation of Sufi ethical teachings in Islamic Religious Education, particularly fostering praiseworthy morals. This study adopts a qualitative library research approach, utilizing descriptive-analytical methods to analyze and describe conditions, thoughts, or facts. Once these data are described, they facilitate the formation of a cohesive concept of Sufi ethics integrated into the PAI educational process. The findings of this study highlight the implementation of a Sufi ethical framework within Islamic Religious Education, characterized by religious and spiritual values, to cultivate noble behavior towards Allah SWT, oneself, fellow humans, and all living beings in the universe.  Keywords: Concept of Sufi Ethics, Islamic Religious Education, Moral Degradation

Abstract

Cognitive learning outcomes are a crucial component in education, serving to measure how well students have acquired knowledge and skills during the learning process. However, many students still exhibit low performance in cognitive learning outcomes. One primary reason for this underperformance is the misalignment between teaching styles and the students' learning styles, which adversely affects their academic results. Adopting a visual learning style is proposed as an effective solution to enhance cognitive learning outcomes. MTs Al-Rohmah implements a visual learning approach, aiming to help students absorb and process information more effectively, thereby achieving optimal learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the impact of visual learning style on cognitive learning outcomes in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak for Visual Class students at MTs Al-Rohmah Karangpawitan Garut. The research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted through observation and the distribution of questionnaires to 30 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using statistical methods. The results indicate that the cognitive learning outcomes in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak at MTs Al-Rohmah are categorized as "Very Good" with an average score of 4.09. The visual learning style also falls into the "Very Good" category with an average score of 4.15. Based on hypothesis testing, it was found that the visual learning style has a positive and significant impact on the cognitive learning outcomes of students, contributing 69.55% to their academic performance. Meanwhile, other factors not included in this study account for 30.45% of the influence on cognitive learning outcomes. Abstract

The character of humility (tawadhu) is crucial, especially for students within the school environment. However, there has been an observed deficiency in humility among students, manifesting in behaviors such as disrespectful speech, disobedience to teachers and parents, lack of diligence in studying, and untidy dressing. The Self-Control Learning Strategy is proposed as an effective solution to enhance the humility character of students. The objectives of this research are to describe: the level of humility character in students, the application of the self-control learning strategy, and the implications of this strategy on the humility character of students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. This study employs a field research approach with a qualitative methodology. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies involving the school principal, PAI teachers, guidance counselors, and students. The data analysis technique includes several stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research indicate that, at SMP Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah Garut, after implementing the self-control learning strategy, which includes initiatives led by the school principal, PAI teachers, and the promotion of positive habits such as collective Dhuha prayers, memorization of Juz 30, and advice on the importance of humility, there has been a significant improvement in the students' humility character. Abstract

Cooperative attitude is an essential trait that students should possess. However, issues such as a lack of togetherness, minimal assistance among peers, and inadequate exchange of ideas during the learning process are prevalent. If students do not develop a cooperative attitude, they may become self-centered, less responsive, and lack empathy towards their social environment. Various approaches can be adopted to enhance students' cooperative attitudes. One effective method is the Group Investigation Learning Model. This model emphasizes group-based learning processes that train students to work together to achieve common goals. The purpose of this study is to describe the impact of applying the Group Investigation Learning Model on improving students' cooperative attitudes in Islamic Religious Education. Specifically, it examines the influence of the Group Investigation Learning Model (Variable X) on the cooperative attitude of students in the context of Islamic Religious Education (Variable Y). This research adopts a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, observation, and document studies. Statistical data analysis is used to process the data. The study's results indicate that \( F_{calculated} > F_{table} \), specifically 13.664 > 4.10, leading to the rejection of \( H_0 \) and acceptance of \( H_1 \). This means the independent variable (X), which is the Group Investigation Learning Model, significantly influences the dependent variable (Y), the students' cooperative attitude in Islamic Religious Education. The calculation of the coefficient of determination shows that the application of the Group Investigation Learning Model influences the improvement of students' cooperative attitudes by 26.4%, with the remaining 73.6% influenced by other factors not included in this study. Abstract

The self-directed learning of students in the Akidah Akhlak subject at MTs Muhammadiyah Tarogong Garut remains a challenge in the educational process. Some students exhibit low self-confidence, lack responsibility, and are overly dependent on others during learning activities. The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model is an instructional approach that engages students in solving problems through scientific method stages.   The objectives of this research are to describe: (1) the level of self-directed learning in students concerning the Akidah Akhlak subject; (2) the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model in the Akidah Akhlak subject for Grade VIII students at MTs Muhammadiyah Tarogong Garut; and (3) the influence of the Problem-Based Learning model on students' self-directed learning in the Akidah Akhlak subject for Grade VIII students at MTs Muhammadiyah Tarogong Garut.   The research employed an experimental method. Data collection techniques included observation, questionnaires, and document analysis. The data were processed using statistical analysis. The study's findings revealed that the average pre-test scores were 52.70 for the experimental group and 52.35 for the control group. After the treatment with the Problem-Based Learning model, the post-test average for the experimental group increased to 62.00, while the control group, which did not use the PBL model, had an average post-test score of 54.87. The T-test results indicated \( T_{calculated} \) > \( T_{table} \), specifically \( -6.59 \) or \( 6.59 > 2.00 \).   Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model significantly influences the self-directed learning of students in the Akidah Akhlak subject for Grade VIII students at MTs Muhammadiyah Tarogong Garut.
