Abstract

This research was initiated in response to the observation of students exhibiting poor behavior, such as neglecting prayer, lacking discipline, dishonesty, and irresponsibility. These issues are attributed to the suboptimal effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in enhancing students' moral quality, leading to a decline in their moral standards. This moral degradation is pervasive across all sectors of human life, including among students, who represent the younger generation. The aims of this study are to describe: (1) the moral quality of seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Bayongbong; (2) the effectiveness of PAI instruction in seventh-grade classes at SMPN 3 Bayongbong; and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the effectiveness of PAI instruction in improving the moral quality of seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Bayongbong. This research employs a descriptive method, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis involves steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that while the effectiveness of PAI instruction in enhancing students' moral quality has been achieved, it has not yet reached its full potential. The approach taken by teachers to improve the moral quality of students through effective PAI instruction involves various strategies. These include a persuasive approach both inside and outside the classroom, collaboration with community leaders to provide non-formal education outside school hours, implementing short-term Ramadan boarding programs with incentives for participation, and using constructive authority and guidance to steer student behavior towards positive outcomes. Abstract

The Qur'an implicitly contains stories related to educational elements, particularly the educative interactions depicted in the story of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and Prophet Ismail (Ishmael) in Surah Ash-Shaffat, verse 102. There are wisdoms and lessons that can be derived for educators in fostering educative interactions between educators and learners. An interaction can be considered educational if it involves educational objectives, educators, learners, content, and methods. The objectives of this research are to: (1) Understand educative interactions according to Islamic educational principles; (2) Explore the educative interaction between educators and learners in the Qur'an, specifically in Surah Ash-Shaffat, verse 102; (3) Identify the implications of Surah Ash-Shaffat, verse 102 on educative interactions between educators and learners. This qualitative research utilizes library research with a thematic (Maudu’iy) approach, using primary data from the Qur'an, specifically Surah Ash-Shaffat, verse 102. Secondary sources include exegeses (Tafsir), books, scholarly journals, and relevant articles. Data analysis employs content analysis methods. The findings reveal that educative interactions in Surah Ash-Shaffat, verse 102 emphasize educational values such as Prophet Ibrahim's democratic attitude, dialogic democratic methods, Ismail's obedience to his father as an educator, and obedience to Allah's commandments. The implications highlight components or aspects that form educative interactions derived from Surah Ash-Shaffat, verse 102, offering wisdom on how educative interactions between educators and learners can align with guidance in the Qur'an, Surah Ash-Shaffat, verse 102. Abstract

The process of memorizing the Qur'an is widely practiced in both formal and non-formal educational settings. The "One Day One Ayah" (ODOA) memorization model is an effective and rapid method for memorizing the Qur'an, as it is highly practical in its application. This method facilitates teachers in training and teaching memorization and makes it easier for students to memorize. The ODOA method has been implemented successfully in various institutions, such as Rumah Tahfidz Al-Ikhlash Karangrejo Tulunggagung and TK Masyithoh Al Iman Bandung Jetis Pendowoharjo Sewon Bantul, proving its effectiveness in enhancing Qur'anic memorization. One of the formal schools adopting this memorization process is Mts Al-Musadaddiyah Garut. The memorization process naturally involves methods that support successful Qur'an memorization. The ODOA method introduces a novel approach to memorization with a program focusing on memorizing one verse per day, starting from the shorter chapters (Juz 30). This study aims to: (1) explore the implementation of the ODOA method at Mts Al-Musadaddiyah Garut; (2) assess the success in memorizing Juz 30 of the Qur'an among eighth-grade students at Mts Al-Musadaddiyah Garut; and (3) determine the impact of the ODOA method on the success of memorizing Juz 30 among eighth-grade students at Mts Al-Musadaddiyah Garut. This investigation seeks to understand the relationship between the implementation of the ODOA method in Qur'anic memorization classes (Variable X) and the success in Qur'anic memorization among students (Variable Y). This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach, using data or information concerning the studied phenomenon. Data collection methods include questionnaires distributed to 59 respondents, observations, interviews, and document analysis. Data processing was conducted through statistical data analysis. The results indicate that the implementation of the ODOA method in the eighth grade at Mts Al-Musadaddiyah Garut achieved an average score of 84.7%, indicating a "Very Good" rating. Similarly, the success in memorizing Juz 30 of the Qur'an among eighth-grade students at Mts Al-Musadaddiyah Garut received an average score of 87.5%, also categorized as "Very Good." Statistical analysis reveals that the ODOA method accounts for 54.86% of the success in memorizing Juz 30 among the students, while other factors influencing Qur'anic memorization, accounting for 45.14%, were not investigated in this study. Abstract

Reading the Qur'an is crucial to prevent humanity from going astray in life. To comprehend the content and meaning of any text, one must first read it; this holds true for the Qur'an as well. Motivation is a key factor that encourages Muslims to regularly read the Qur'an. In the digital era, the Qur'an Android app has become a significant tool for encouraging teenagers to engage in Qur'anic reading. This study aims to describe: (1) The impact of using the Qur'an Android app on the motivation to read the Qur'an among teenagers at SMP IT Al-Falah Cilawu. (2) The level of motivation for reading the Qur'an among teenagers at SMP IT Al-Falah Cilawu. (3) The effect of the Qur'an Android app on the reading motivation of teenagers at SMP IT Al-Falah. Consequently, this study seeks to understand the relationship between the use of the Qur'an Android app (Variable X) and the motivation to read the Qur'an among teenagers (Variable Y). The research employs an inferential quantitative method, gathering data and information about the phenomena under study. Data collection techniques include questionnaires distributed to 27 respondents, observations, and document studies. Data analysis is conducted using statistical data analysis methods. The statistical test results indicate that the use of the Qur'an Android app influences reading motivation among students at SMP IT Al-Falah Muhammadiyah Cilawu Garut by 33.55%. The hypothesis test results show that the impact of using the Qur'an Android app on the reading motivation of 9th-grade students at SMP IT Al-Falah Cilawu is 43.5%, while the remaining 56.45% is influenced by other factors not covered in this study. Abstract

In the era of Disruption 5.0, where convenience is abundant, society faces a dichotomy of positive and negative values emerging within the community. The positive impacts of this disruptive era include changes in values and attitudes, the advancement of science and technology, and improved living standards. Conversely, the negative repercussions are evident in the decline of national moral quality, as seen in the increasing number of cases that deviate from societal norms and values. Paulo Freire, a prominent figure in educational philosophy, advocated for a critical alternative education model, which has been praised for addressing issues within formal education systems. On the other hand, Islamic education is inherently rich with transcendental, divine, and humanistic values. These can be encompassed within the broader framework known as theocentric humanism or religious humanism, an effort to integrate religious and divine values. A concept or educational theory lacks significant social impact unless oriented towards action. To emphasize the need for action, these theocentric humanistic values are proposed as an ideological paradigm for Islamic education. The objective of this study is to describe Paulo Freire's concept of humanistic education from the perspective of Islamic education. The research method employed is library research, which involves utilizing library resources to obtain the necessary data through a sequence of activities related to literature review, reading, note-taking, and processing the required research materials. The results of this study indicate both similarities and differences between Paulo Freire's concept of humanistic education and Islamic education. The similarities lie in their focus on developing students' potential according to their interests and talents. The key difference is that Freire's Humanistic Education emphasizes the psychological aspects of students, whereas Islamic Education emphasizes a balance between the affective and cognitive domains of students. Abstract

The ability of students to comprehend material is crucial as it supports other necessary skills they must acquire. However, in Class XI MIA MA An-Nashr, many students have yet to meet the required proficiency criteria. Therefore, a stimulus is needed to assist students in achieving the desired cognitive learning outcomes. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of using the sociodrama method on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The research employs an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The analysis reveals that the calculated t-value exceeds the critical t-value (t_calculated > t_critical), specifically 13.63 ≥ 1.685. Consequently, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This leads to the conclusion that the sociodrama method significantly impacts the cognitive learning outcomes of students in the subject of Islamic Cultural History. Abstract

Responsibility is defined as an individual's willingness to bear the consequences of their decisions regarding choices made, accepted with full willingness, awareness, and commitment. Currently, the level of responsibility among students in Islamic religious education is lacking, with many students not fully recognizing their responsibilities, particularly in their studies. The Jigsaw cooperative learning model, which emphasizes collaboration and mutual dependence among students, has the potential to enhance their sense of responsibility. This study aims to describe: (1) the profile of student responsibility in Islamic religious education in grade XI at SMA Ciledug before the intervention, (2) the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in Islamic religious education in grade XI at SMA Ciledug, and (3) the impact of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on the sense of responsibility among students in grade XI at SMA Ciledug after the intervention. The research employed a pre-experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data collection techniques included observation, questionnaires distributed to 17 respondents, and document studies. Data analysis was conducted using statistical methods. The results, based on statistical analysis, indicate that the calculated t-value is greater than the t-table value (t_calculated > t_table), with a t-value of -6.696 or 6.696 > t-table value of 1.745. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model has a significant impact on enhancing students' sense of responsibility in Islamic religious education in grade XI at SMA Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. Abstract

Academic achievement remains a significant issue due to several factors: lack of student engagement with the material presented, indifference among students, and passive attitudes in the classroom. Therefore, utilizing a variety of teaching methods is a viable solution to address these student-related problems. This study aims to describe the influence of using diverse teaching methods in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) on students' academic performance. The research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection methods include observation, document studies, and questionnaires distributed to 20 students who served as the sample for this study. Data analysis was conducted using statistical methods. The findings indicate that the average effectiveness of varied teaching methods is 4.00, which falls within the interval of 4.01-5.00, categorized as "Very Good." This suggests that the effectiveness of teaching has improved following the implementation of diverse teaching methods in the learning process. In terms of academic performance in IRE subjects, students achieved an average score of 4.09, also within the interval of 4.01-5.00, categorized as "Very Good." This demonstrates that the use of varied teaching methods is an appropriate solution to enhance student academic achievement. Statistical analysis confirms that there is a significant influence of using varied teaching methods in IRE on students' academic performance, accounting for 47.59% of the improvement, while other variables not examined in this study contribute to 52.40% of the influence on students' academic performance. Abstract

Education and character development are crucial aspects of an individual’s life, as character significantly influences one's success. Therefore, it is essential to cultivate strong and positive character traits continuously. One such important trait is humility, known in Islam as "tawadhu’". Tawadhu’ reflects a Muslim’s modesty and humility towards others. In contemporary society, particularly among students and teenagers, there is a prevalent tendency to follow the latest lifestyle trends. This trend has led to a decline in the youth's interest in positive activities and an increase in juvenile delinquency, especially within the educational sphere. Consequently, the implementation of character education, specifically the cultivation of humility, in both formal and informal educational settings, is deemed vital. It serves as a measure to counteract various social upheavals and moral decadence prevalent in society. This study aims to: (1) Understand the concept of Islamic Education; (2) Explore the development of students' humility as depicted in the Quran, Surah Al-Furqan, verses 63-64; (3) Examine the formation of humility in students in the context of Islamic Education through the analysis of Quran, Surah Al-Furqan, verses 63-64. This research employs a descriptive qualitative analytical method, utilizing a library research approach. Primary sources include the Quran (Surah Al-Furqan, verses 63-64), and secondary sources consist of tafsir (exegesis), books, and journals relevant to this study. Data collection techniques include documentation, qualitative analysis, and content analysis within the framework of Islamic Education Studies. The findings indicate that the formation of students' humility, as examined in Surah Al-Furqan, verses 63-64, involves three key aspects: First, students should consistently practice good behavior. Second, they should avoid despicable actions. Third, they must maintain a strong connection with Allah SWT by enhancing their religious devotion and obedience. Abstract

Educational media is one of the crucial aspects that educators must master. It significantly impacts the success of the teaching and learning process. By using a variety of educational media, educators can foster and develop students' interest and talents in learning. This approach can simplify the comprehension of material, keeping students engaged and preventing boredom, thus promoting direct interaction between educators and students. The Qur'an contains numerous verses discussing educational media, notably in Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 31. This verse encompasses several values related to educational media. This research aims to describe the educational media concepts embedded in Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 31 of the Qur'an. It employs a library research method through an analytical approach and includes a comparative study to examine the factors and consequences based on documents and literature. The research is inductive, aiming to generate theories through the exploration of facts by analyzing the interpretations of scholars regarding Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 31, and reviewing written sources about educational media proposed by experts and Islamic scholars. The qualitative research method focuses on content analysis of the Qur'anic verse and relevant texts. The findings reveal that the value associated with educational media in Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 31, pertains to "al-asma" or objects, indicating the use of tangible items as effective learning tools.  Keywords : Educational Media, Qur'an, Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 31
