Abstract

This research discusses the importance of maintaining Indonesian national identity in English language teaching and learning in the era of globalization. English as a global lingua franca is often considered to have the potential to erode local cultural values. Through a qualitative approach, this study analyzes the experiences and perceptions of 23 lecturers from the English Education Study Program of UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The findings show that the majority of lecturers emphasize the importance of integrating national identity into English education, despite facing challenges such as the dominance of Western perspectives in the curriculum and resistance to change. Proposed strategies include the use of local literature, project-based learning, as well as strengthening teacher training to support culturally responsive pedagogy. The research also highlights the role of technology as an innovative tool to connect students with their cultural heritage while improving English language skills. By identifying challenges and opportunities, the results of this study provide practical recommendations for creating a curriculum that strikes a balance between English proficiency and the preservation of Indonesia's national identity

https://jim.usk.ac.id/sejarahPenelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara Piagam Madinah dan UUD 1945, khususnya dalam konteks pengelolaan keberagaman budaya Indonesia. Diakui sebagai dokumen sejarah penting dalam tradisi Islam, Piagam Madinah memberikan kerangka awal untuk mengatur masyarakat multikultural. Di sisi lain, UUD 1945 berfungsi sebagai landasan hukum Indonesia, yang menekankan prinsip-prinsip keadilan dan persatuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan pustaka, dengan memanfaatkan berbagai sumber relevan untuk mendukung pembahasan. Tujuan utama analisis ini adalah untuk mengungkap relevansi dan wawasan yang ditawarkan oleh kedua dokumen tersebut dalam menyikapi kompleksitas keberagaman budaya di Indonesia. Pluralitas merupakan aspek yang tak terelakkan dari masyarakat yang beragam, seperti yang ditunjukkan di Madinah, tempat Nabi Muhammad SAW memerintah masyarakat dengan afiliasi agama yang beragam, termasuk Muslim, politeis, dan Yahudi, selama sekitar 13 tahun. Untuk menavigasi keberagaman ini, ia menetapkan Piagam Madinah sebagai kerangka kerja untuk membina persatuan, keharmonisan, dan keamanan di antara semua penduduk. Demikian pula, sejak memperoleh kemerdekaan pada tahun 1945, Indonesia telah merangkul keberagaman penduduknya, yang meliputi berbagai agama seperti Islam, Katolik, Protestan, Hindu, dan Buddha. Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 disusun untuk mewujudkan semangat inklusivitas ini, yang bertujuan untuk mempromosikan persatuan, keharmonisan, dan keamanan bagi semua warga negara. Baik Piagam Madinah maupun Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 memiliki prinsip-prinsip dasar yang sama yang menjawab tantangan yang ditimbulkan oleh keberagaman masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the arithmetic skills of high school students in Grade X at a senior high school in Langkat Regency. The sample consists of 30 Grade X students, selected using a purposive sampling technique. All samples were given a written test to measure their arithmetic skills. Based on the results, it was concluded that the overall arithmetic ability scored 46.5, categorized as sufficient. However, when viewed from a percentage perspective, it remains concerning as many students still demonstrate poor arithmetic skills. The solutions proposed by the researcher to address the challenges faced by Grade X high school students in arithmetic skills are as follows: implementing learning approaches based on the principles of mathematics education, such as cooperative learning models; reinforcing concepts that students have not yet understood; and providing practice questions related to arithmetic. After the teaching and learning process, a proposed solution to address students' learning difficulties is to offer remedial mathematics instruction based on the principles of mathematics education, focusing on building a strong foundation in arithmetic concepts.

Abstract

Learning evaluation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is an important step to measure the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This study aims to identify the steps that need to be taken in conducting Islamic Education learning evaluation. Through literature review and data analysis, this study concludes that evaluation steps include planning, implementation, and follow-up. Planning includes determining objectives, selecting instruments, and scheduling the evaluation. Implementation includes collecting data through various techniques, such as written tests, observations, and interviews. Follow-up includes data analysis, interpretation of results, and preparation of recommendations for learning improvement.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' interest in learning in history subjects by implementing the Listening Team Learning Model assisted by Timeline Infographic Media at SMA Negeri 14 Medan. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires and observation of student activities. The first cycle showed poor results with a percentage of 40%, but in the second cycle, there was a significant improvement with a percentage of 80%. The results show that the application of this learning model succeeded in increasing students' interest in learning in history subjects

Abstract

The use of interactive learning media has become the main focus of researchers in efforts to increase students' understanding of historical material regarding the theory of Hindu-Buddhist entry into Indonesia.This research aims to explore the influence of interactive learning media,especially the interactive presentation Quizizz,in increasing class X.6 students' understanding of this theory.The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK),with a focus on practical steps to improve learning in the classroom.The research results showed that through three action cycles,students' activity in learning increased significantly,along with increasing their understanding of the material.The final test results show a continuous increase in student achievement scores in each cycle.In conclusion,the implementation of interactive learning media,such as Quizizz interactive presentations,can help improve students' understanding of historical material,with learning activities that are more dynamic and student-oriented .

Pelaksanaan konservasi pada Koleksi yang ada di museum ini sangat di harapkan dilakukan secara kontinu . Konservasi sangat penting untuk koleksi-koleksi yang ada di museum . Namun sebelum itu dilakukan pelatihan terlebih dahulu terhadap para kurator yang akan Konservasi musuem . Dalam pengelolaan musuem konservasi bekerjasama dengan Koleksi, bagian Koleksi yang mendata dan konservasi akan melakukan tindakan tersebut .

Abstract

This study explores the principles of universal humanism initiated by H.B. Jassin, a prominent Indonesian literary critic, in the formulation of the Periodization of Modern Indonesian Literary History, especially Angkatan 66 (the 66th Class). Jassin is one of the figures who strongly opposes the subjugation of literature by certain ideologies or political groups. On the other hand, he also involved the principles of universal humanism that were politically accused of being the basis of literary history, a consideration that in turn triggered criticism of him. Based on a literature review, this historical study concludes that Jassin's decision to embed universal humanism with strong political nuances in the mapping of modern Indonesian literary history is closely related to the turbulent socio-political context of Indonesia at that time. For Jassin, the relationship between socio-political activities, universal humanism and literature is an interdependent and legitimizing relationship, not a hierarchy. In addition, the emergence of Angkatan 66 in the Periodization of the History of Modern Indonesian Literature reflects the same orientation between socio-political activities and the principles of universal humanism, namely freedom and resistance to oppression.

Abstract

Jenderal Sudirman merupakan tokoh pejuang pasca kemerdekaan Indonesia. Jenderal Sudirman terkenal dengan taktik perangnya yaitu gerilya, namun taktik perang gerilya ini menguras banyak tenaga pasukan dan membuat Jenderal Sudirman penyakit yang dideritanya menjadi kambuh dan semakin parah. Jenderal Sudirman kembali ke Yogyakarta untuk menjalani perawatan hingga akhirnya pindah ke Magelang untuk mempercepat pemulihannya. Rumah tempat Jenderal Sudirman menjalani pemulihan sampai akhirnya meninggal, saat ini beralih fungsi menjadi museum. Berdasarkan penelitian awal serta wawancara yang dilakukan, didapat hasil bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat yang tidak mengetahui mengenai informasi ini terutama masyarakat Magelang. Sehingga perlu adanya media informasi yang mampu menceritakan mengenai hal ini, adapun media yang dapat digunakan adalah film dokumenter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan dengan menerapkan strategi linear dalam proses perancangannya. Hasil dari film dokumenter akan menjadi media informasi yang menarik untuk menggambarkan jejak pesanggrahan terakhir Jenderal Sudirman di Magelang kepada masyarakat Magelang secara khusus dan masyarakat Indonesia secara umum.

Abstract

The Implementation of the Articulation Learning Model to Enhance Grade X-3 Students' Understanding in Indonesian History Learning at SMA Negeri 2 Medan Academic Year 2023-2024. Many students perceive history learning as a monotonous subject, merely involving memorizing sequences of events and figures without relevance to everyday life. History education is considered crucial for nurturing the character of the nation's generation. However, at SMA Negeri 2 Medan, there are still students who are less active in learning, especially when using specific teaching models. The purpose of this study is to enhance the understanding of grade X-3 students in Indonesian History learning by implementing the articulation learning model. The research was conducted through the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with grade X-3 students at SMA Negeri 2 Medan as the research subjects. The results indicate an increase in students' activity and understanding from cycle to cycle. In cycle I, student activity reached 41%, in cycle II it reached 68%, and in cycle III, student activity reached 78%. Similarly, students' understanding or learning outcomes also increased in each cycle. In cycle I, 61% or 22 students obtained a score 70, in cycle II, there was an increase to 75% or 29 students obtaining a score 70, and in cycle III, there was a further increase to 94% or 34 students obtaining a score 70. In cycle III, student activity reached 78%, and 94% of students obtained a score 70, meeting the established proficiency criteria.
