Abstract

This research focuses on the teacher's leadership role in increasing students' spiritual intelligence. In the era of modern education characterized by increasingly complex challenges and problems, raising students' spiritual intelligence becomes essential. This study uses a quantitative approach by taking samples from school teachers in Bandar Lampung. The results showed that teacher leadership significantly influenced increasing students' spiritual intelligence, with a t-value of 7.112 and a significance level of 0.00. In addition, the regression analysis shows that the teacher's leadership variable can explain 65.3% of the variability in increasing students' spiritual intelligence. These findings demonstrate the importance of the teacher's role as a leader in education to develop students' spiritual intelligence. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the need for training and professional development for teachers to consider and incorporate spiritual aspects into their educational approach.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the contribution of the homeroom teacher's Transformational leadership style to the effectiveness of classroom management in Senior High Schools in Bandar Lampung City. Transformational leadership emphasizes adjusting the homeroom teacher's leadership style according to the needs of students and different classroom situations. This study used a quantitative method involving homeroom teachers and students from various high schools in Bandar Lampung City as the research sample. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques. The results showed that the homeroom teacher's Transformational leadership style significantly influenced the effectiveness of classroom management in Senior High School Bandar Lampung City. The Transformational leadership style improves classroom discipline, student participation, quality of interaction between students and teachers, and student academic achievement. The implication of this research is the importance of developing Transformational leadership skills for homeroom teachers at Senior High School Bandar Lampung City, as well as assisting schools in developing more effective classroom management strategies to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Abstract Research with approach quantitative this study aims to investigate the effect of parenting style on the self-confidence of Buddhist Sunday School students at Amurwa Bumi Graha—pattern fostering can role important in forming confidence in self-individual, incl in the context of student self-confidence. Data were collected from 108 respondents using relevant instruments. Regression analysis was conducted to see the relationship between the independent variable, parenting style, and the dependent variable, student self-confidence. The test results show that the regression model has good quality, with a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.916. The results of the coefficient test show that parenting style has a significant and positive influence on students' self-confidence. In conclusion, this study supports the hypothesis that parenting style influences the self-confidence of Buddhist Sunday School students.

Abstract

Mahayana ritual services express respect and implementation of Buddhist teachings as a form of belief in the Three Jewels. The main purpose of devotional service is to give strength to practitioners, encourage good deeds, and bring blessings, merits and happiness to oneself and others. On the other hand, interest in learning has a big influence on concentration and learning activities. A strong interest in the material being studied can increase the concentration of students. In addition, high interest also makes it easier to understand and store the information learned. In this context, this study examines the effect of Mahayana ritual services on interest in learning Buddhist Dharma at the Maha Cetiya Prajna Buddhist Center in Medan. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The analysis results show that mahayana ritual services significantly positively influence the interest in learning Buddhist Dharma at the Maha Cetiya Prajna Buddhist Center. This influence occurs through devotional service, which involves reverence and prayer, reverence for the Buddha's name, determination to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings, introspection on one's actions, and sharing virtue with others. The statistical test results show that the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.305 or 30.5%. This indicates that the variable Ritual Services of Mahayana explains about 30.5% of the variation in interest in learning Buddhist Dharma. Thus, it can be concluded that Mahayana ritual services significantly influence the interest in learning Buddhist Dharma at the Buddhist monastery.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of online learning of Buddhist religious education teachers at State Elementary School 01 Sripendowo. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained using observation, interview, and documentation methods. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The existence of learning problems during the co-19 pandemic made researchers interested in conducting research related to the online learning communication system. The results showed that teachers used communication elements following the model given by Laswel. In addition, the findings also explain that the teacher takes seven practical strategic steps in carrying out the online learning communication system. This study also found five common barriers experienced by teachers during the implementation of online learning.

Abstract

The research aims to explore the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of Learning as a solution to the challenges in developing thinking skills. Through the use of AI technology, the study focuses on finding out the relationship between AI and students' ability to argue. The approach used in this research is quantitative with correlational methods. Research results show that AI in learning can be a significant catalyst for the development of critical and analytical thinking skills. Students engaged in learning environments using AI showed an improvement in problem-solving, information-analysis, and critical thinking skills so that their ability to argue improved. In addition, learning efficiency, and motivates the learners to reach their maximum potential. This research contributes to an understanding of how AI in education can have a positive impact on the development of argumentation skills. The practical implications of these findings can open the door to the development of more effective and personalized learning strategies in the future, creating a responsive and adaptive educational environment.

Abstract

Research using a quantitative approach and aims to explore the influence of Kalyāṇamitta (Good Friends) on the discipline of young learning. This research focuses on the important role of good friends in shaping an individual's understanding of the discipline of learning. Data collected from 73 respondents using relevant instruments. Regression analysis is used to examine the relationship between an independent variable, namely Kalyāṇamitta (good friend), and a dependent variable. The statistical test results show that the regression model has a good quality, with a determination coefficient (R Square) of 0.234 (23.4%), and there are indications of other factors that influence self-improvement of 76.6%. The results of the analysis of regression cofficients show that Kalyāṇamitta practice has a significant and positive influence on the discipline of young learning. The implication is that Kalyāṇamitta (good friend) can be a factor that supports the development of understanding and practice of Buddhist teachings in the context of discipline learning.

Abstract

The ancient contemplative traditions that gave rise to the practice of mindfulness have attracted a lot of interest recently because of their potential to improve many facets of human well-being. A fascinating field of study is the connection between mindfulness sitting and attentive listening abilities. In this research, the researcher explore the possible impact of mindful sitting on the growth and improvement of good listening techniques. This study aims to examine the effect of mindfulness sitting on listening skill. The researcher used a pretest-posttest experimental group design. The research used the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) to analyze the data. A rubric score used to analyze and measure the students’ listening skill before and after treatment. The students’ listening skill improved from 30.7 to 77.1. In addition, the researcher found that students who struggled in listening comprehension now have a grow understanding in their listening skill. Therefore, it is important to use mindfulness method to improve listening achievement.

Abstract

The research aims to find out the influence of silent sitting and mindful parenting on the interests of students of STIAB Jinarakkhita Lampung. In the research there are some problems, among others, there are still students who do not pay attention to the lecturer when explaining, there is still a student who does not collect lectures, still there are students who don't answer questions when asked by the teacher, and there are also students who talk to my cousins when the lecturers explain the lectures in class this indicates that there is a problem related to the interests of learning. The methodology used is descriptive quantitative research. The subject in this study is a student of the Buddhist Religious Education study program with a total of 45 Students. The sample in this study is as many as 30 people. Data collection techniques in this study include using interviews and lifts. (kuisioner). This study uses a double linear regression analysis with a degree of error of 5%. R square or R2=0.940=94%. The value shows that the variation of student learning interest variables (Y) can be explained by the variable silent sitting (X1) and mindful parenting (X2) combined at 94%. In other words, the variables silent siting (x1) and Mindful Parenting (x2) influence the student interest variable (y) by 94% and the remaining 6% are influenced by other factors that are not included in this study model. (Y). Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that 1) there is a simultaneous influence between silent sitting and mindful parenting on learning interests. 2) This shows that the more positive silent sitting and the higher mindful parenthood, the more will increase the interest of students of STIAB Jinarakkhita Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem of Buddhist religious behavior at the Manggala Ratna Buddhist Monastery in East Lampung, which includes a lack of activity in rituals and prayer, lack of enthusiasm for practicing religious teachings, lack of participation in religious activities, lack of a sense of obligation and awareness of the implementation of religious teachings, and lack of obedience to religious teachings. The research methodology uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection was done through a closed questionnaire that included statements about interpersonal communication variables (X) and religious behavior (Y). Data analysis includes validity test, reliability test, normality test, descriptive analysis, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the influence of interpersonal communication on the religious behavior of Buddhists in Manggala Ratna Buddhist Monastery in East Lampung was 37.3%, while 62.7% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Regression analysis shows that there is a significant influence, with a significance value (sig) on the tcount of 7.032> ttable 1.663. Therefore, it can be concluded that interpersonal communication, especially in terms of openness, has a positive influence on the religious behavior of Buddhists at Manggala Ratna Buddhist Monastery in East Lampung.
