Abstract

The goal to be achieved in this service activity is to increase student creativity in writing short stories through the use of 'Pentigraph' as teaching material by involving experience and the surrounding environment as a theme for writing paragraphs. This can provide valuable benefits for students who are in the coastal tourism area. Through learning creative writing about tourism and one's own culture can help strengthen cultural identity and increase pride in the cultural heritage. In addition, writing about cultural sites, traditional events, and other cultural heritage can stimulate interest in research and advocacy, enabling students to become conscious change agents committed to cultural sustainability and promoting responsible tourism practices in coastal tourism areas that not only help the local economy but also raise global awareness about the importance of cultural preservation.  The target participants of this activity are the surrounding community, namely adolescents and children located at the State Junior High School No. 1 Kabila Bone District, Bone Bolango Regency. This service activity will be carried out only for 1 meeting with a duration of 90 minutes. With this service activity, it is hoped that it will be able to help the tourism area community to be able to manage the tourism area and be able to serve visitors both local and foreign well.

Abstract

United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) menyatakan bahwa angka kematian balita disebabkan berbagai faktor, yaitu nutrisi, pengetahuan kesehatan ibu, tingkat imunisasi, dehidrasi, ketersediaan layanan kesehatan ibu dan anak, pendapatan keluarga, ketersediaan pangan dalam keluarga, ketersediaan air bersih, sanitasi yang baik serta kesehatan lingkungan anak secara keseluruhan.Tujuan Dari Pengabdian Masyarakat kelas ibu balita adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku ibu tentang kesehatan balita, gizi dan stimulasi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak, sehingga terwujud tumbuh kembang balita yang optimal dan dapat mengurangi resiko kesakitan dan kematian pada anak. Kelas ibu balita merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan yang memberikan pengetahuan kepada ibu tentang kesehatan balitanya meliputi informasi tentang gizi, tumbuh kembang dan kesehatan balita. Kelas ibu balita adalah suatu aktifitas belajar kelompok dalam kelas dengan anggota beberapa ibu yang mempunyai anak balita (usia 0-5 tahun) di bawah bimbingan satu atau beberapa fasilitator (pengajar) dengan memakai buku Kesehatan Ibu Dan Anak (KIA) sebagai alat pembelajaran

Abstract

Background. Elderly is someone who reaches the age of 60 years and above. The elderly will also experience health problems caused by aging, usually affecting the joints, namely osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is chronic inflammation in the joints that causes tissue damage to the cartilage. There are several factors that cause osteoarthritis, namely age and gender, obesity, genetics, joints, muscle strength, and knee alignment. Osteoarthritis in the elderly can be reduced or treated with exercise therapy. Based on a pre-survey at the Budi Dharma Kasih Nursing Home, it was found that more than half of the elderly experienced osteoarthritis pain due to a lack of understanding in reducing this pain. Objective. This community service (PkM) activity aims to implement exercise for the elderly. Method : This PkM method is carried out by providing Ostearthritis material, then exercise therapy, followed by a discussion containing a question and answer session regarding the material presented, as well as an evaluation using pre and post questionnaires after exercise therapy. Results. The results obtained after carrying out exercise therapy activities for the elderly were an increase in pain with the moderate pain group before implementation amounting to (0.0%) after implementation increasing by (55.6%), the severe pain group before implementation amounting to (100.0%) after implementation it decreased by (44.4%). Outer. There are three expected outcomes from this PkM activity, namely, 1. The elderly can apply exercise therapy 2. Videos containing exercises, 3. Publication of community service articles.

Abstract

In order to welcome the election of regional heads and to realize elections based on reason or ratio by critically examining the thoughts or vision and mission of the candidate pairs so that substantive democratic values can be achieved. Substantive democracy itself is when a government can realize the wishes of the people in a country, where the people themselves have the highest sovereignty in a democracy. Class This socialization activity takes the form of providing material about elections and regional elections, then there is a question and answer session and a test after providing the material to see whether the students have understood the content of the material or not. This socialization activity aims to enable students to choose leaders critically and provide an understanding of elections and regional elections. It is hoped that this activity will enable the younger generation to actively participate in politics and also create an ideal government.

Abstract

A series of Community Service activities has been carried out, focusing on assisting the downstream processing of gambir products and liquid waste in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, as well as in the Gambir Farmers Association in Mungka District, Fifty Cities Regency. This activity was motivated by the challenges faced by members of the association, who produce gambir soap, gambir tea, and catechins that are not yet free from tannins. Unfortunately, the gambir soap produced lacks market value, has unappealing packaging, and does not provide optimal benefits to users, leading to decreased buyer interest. Additionally, the liquid waste generated from gambir production has not been adequately managed or treated to be environmentally friendly. Prior to the implementation of activities at the partner location, preparations were made, including sampling wastewater as a model for treating gambir production wastewater, clarifying wastewater, and enhancing the process of making gambir-based soap in the chemistry analysis laboratory at the ATI Polytechnic in Padang. In this activity, we aimed to provide solutions by broadening the partners' understanding of the downstream processing of gambir products and waste. Three key issues were addressed: catechin isolation, the production of catechin-based beauty soap, and the treatment of liquid waste from gambir production. The downstream processing of gambir products into more commercially valuable items is expected to provide solutions, while the liquid waste can eventually be processed into clean water, with the residue being converted into fertilizer. The activity was attended by 40 members of the Gambir Farmers Association, as well as the village head of Talang Maur, local officials, and the association's management.

Abstract

Agrowisata Sub-district in Pekanbaru is a high-humidity area that supports the presence of venomous creatures, particularly centipedes. Centipede bites can cause pain, swelling, and infection risks, necessitating eco-friendly and cost-effective prevention solutions. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of vinegar and salt solutions as centipede repellents. Vinegar's acetic acid content disrupts centipede respiratory systems, while salt inhibits their movement and activity. Community education was conducted to introduce the preparation and application of this solution. Results indicated that vinegar and salt solutions effectively reduced centipede presence in residential areas. Furthermore, the community responded positively to this method due to its ease of implementation and safety. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for developing natural prevention approaches for venomous creatures in residential areas.

Abstract

Subik village, Abung Tengah subdistrict is home to several plantation commodities, including cloves. This MSME produces dried clove flowers and clove oil and is a partner in this PKM. Apart from improving the quality of partner products and providing laboratory test certificates, the implementation of this PKM broadens partners' understanding of clove cultivation, oil refining, drying clove flowers and product packaging. Implementation, and partner support is the way implementation is carried out. Clove flowers are dried in a closed process in the sun, and clove oil is purified through re-distillation and chelation with citric acid. To increase partner income from sales of these two goods, partners also receive assistance in packaging and marketing the product. Data analysis findings show that partners' knowledge about clove planting according to GAP increased by 40%, about refining clove oil by 70%, about drying clove flowers by 55%, and about product packaging and marketing by 50%. According to SNI 06-2387-2006 standards, Mitra clove oil products have a eugenol concentration of 82%, a density of 1.0275, and a yellow color.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan kelas profesi guru di My Liberty Gorontalo dalam menerapkan metode young learner pembelajaran kreatif dan inovatif untuk pengajaran anak usia dini. Dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan akan pendidikan yang efektif dan menyenangkan, pelatihan ini fokus pada penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka yang memungkinkan pengembangan potensi anak secara menyeluruh. Metode yang diajarkan meliputi pembelajaran berbasis permainan, pengenalan berbagai gaya belajar, serta teknik-teknik pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan anak dalam proses belajar. Hasil dari pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan memberikan dampak positif bagi perkembangan anak usia dini di Gorontalo.

Abstract

Mengajarkan bahasa Inggris pada anak Sekolah menengah pertama bukan hal yang mudah mengingat bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa asing bagi siswa di Indonesia. Berbagai tantangan dan kendala bisa dialami guru dalam mengajar bahasa Inggris; utamanya dalam melatih keterampilan produktif siswa seperti keterampilan speaking atau berbicara. Oleh karenanya, inovasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris menjadi suatu keharusan seperti, penggunaan teknologi digital dan media sosial untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak-anak. Berdasarkan hal ini, kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu memaksimalkan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris bagi anak-anak usia sekolah menengah pertama, sekaligus mengenalkan bahasa Inggris bagi mereka yang belum cukup dipelajari. Kegiatan ini difokuskan pada potensi penggunaan teknologi digitaldan media social dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak-anak sekolah. Lokasi kegiatan pengabdian adalah di Kawasan Teluk Tomini. Target yang ingin dicapai adalah dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam pengembangan pendidikan bahasa Inggris pada anak usia sekolah menengah pertama di kawasan Teluk Tomini, serta diharapkan menjadi landasan bagi pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih progresif dan inklusif di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of tax assistance and counseling in dealing with Letters of Request for Explanation of Data and/or Information (SP2DK) for taxpayers at PT Pilar Teknologi Solusi, Cipondoh. SP2DK is a letter issued by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) as a form of request for clarification of tax data and information that is deemed insufficient or not in accordance with applicable tax regulations. This research uses a descriptive approach with qualitative methods to analyze the influence of tax assistance and counseling on increasing taxpayer understanding and compliance in responding to SP2DK. The research results show that tax assistance and counseling provided by a team of tax experts can increase taxpayers' understanding of their tax obligations. Apart from that, this activity also helps taxpayers provide accurate and timely explanations regarding the data and information requested in the SP2DK. The majority of taxpayers at PT Pilar Teknologi Solusi showed a positive response to this mentoring and counseling program, which had an impact on reducing the number of SP2DK received and increasing the level of tax compliance at the company. From these results, it can be concluded that tax assistance and counseling has a very important role in reducing the risk of tax disputes and ensuring taxpayers fulfill their tax obligations correctly. Therefore, it is recommended that the tax assistance and counseling program be expanded and increase its effectiveness to achieve better tax compliance in the future.
