Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) can be defined as a comparative measurement of life expectancy, education, and living standards. HDI can fluctuate, among other things, because it is influenced by external factors, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the districts that was affected in such a way that caused the HDI to decline was Sumenep district. In relation to HDI fluctuations, the single moving average and single exponential smoothing forecasting methods were implemented in this research to predict the HDI in Sumenep district in 2024. Next, the results obtained from the two methods were compared. In HDI forecasting using the single moving average method, the forecast value was 68.81 with an MSE value of 1.87, MAPE 1.379%, MAD 0.886 and MSD 0.824. Meanwhile, forecasting using the single exponential smoothing method produces a forecasting value of 68.93 with α=1.895) and a MAPE value of 0.739%, MAD 0.464 and MSD 0.272.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using Gamatek teaching aids (Mathematics tutorials) on mathematics learning outcomes in class IV students at SD Negeri 74 Terasa, Sinjai Regency. This research is a type of Pre-Experimental research with a One Group Pre-test Post-test Design. This research involved 11 fourth grade students at SD Negeri 74 Terasa, Sinjai Regency. The data collection techniques are tests and observations. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The research results show that 1) The student learning outcomes before using Gamatek teaching aids were 90.90% of students were incomplete and classified as needing guidance and did not meet the classical completeness criteria, namely ≥ 75%, 2) Student learning results after using Gamatek teaching aids showed 90.90% of students completed. Thus, student learning outcomes after using Gamatek teaching aids are classified as very good and have met the classical completeness criteria, namely ≥75%, 3) The student's average normalized gain of 0.65 is in the medium classification. Thus, it can be concluded that learning mathematics on KPK and FPB material using Gamatek (Mathematics Galacang) teaching aids is said to have an effect on improving the learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Negeri 74 Terasa, Sinjai Regency.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the following aims: (1). Developing a flip PDF corporate based E-module on momentum and impulse material for class X Science students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Tidore Islands. (2). Knowing the feasibility of a flip PDF corporate based E-module on momentum and impulse material. (3). To find out the responses of teachers and students to the corporate PDF flip-based E-module on momentum and impulse material for class X Science students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Tidore Islands produced in this research. This development research refers to the 5 steps of ADDIE development design, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The product trial consisted of validation by material experts, media experts, language experts, physics teachers, and 20 students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Tidore Islands class X Science. Data collection used interview guides, expert validation sheets, teacher response sheets and student response sheets. This research produced a product in the form of a flip PDF corporate based E-module and is very suitable for use with eligibility criteria including 87% of media experts which are categorized as very suitable, 86% of material experts which are categorized as very suitable, and 95% of language experts which are categorized as very suitable. The teacher response was 92% in the strongly agree category and the student response was 93% in the strongly agree category.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of ethnomathematics exploration of the Rejang Lebong community using exploratory research and an ethnographic approach. The research results show that without studying mathematical concepts, the Rejang Lebong people have applied these concepts in their daily lives using ethnomathematics. It is proven that there are mathematical concepts contained in traditional house buildings, decorative geometric shapes in rejang weaving, as well as traditional dances of the Rejang Lebong people. The researcher suggests the results of this research to: (a) be used as an alternative idea for learning mathematics outside the classroom, (b) be introduced to formal mathematics learning as initial capital for teaching mathematical concepts to Pat Petulai University coffee science study program students, (c) be used as reference material for compiling contextual mathematics problem solving questions.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the disparity in mean scores between students instructed through the project-based learning approach and those taught using conventional learning methods. The study population consisted of randomly selected class X pupils from SMA Negeri 2 Tondano, who were divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental class consisted of 25 students who received instruction using the project-based learning model, while the control class consisted of 22 students who received instruction using the conventional paradigm. Data collection was conducted by administering a pre-test prior to administering the treatment, followed by a post-test after the treatment was provided. The research yielded an average post-test score of 0.0842 for the experimental class and 0.075 for the control class. Statistical tests, specifically the t-test, were conducted to compare the learning results of the experimental class and the control class. The calculated tcount 17.164176, was found to be more than the critical ttable 1.67943. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. The null hypothesis H0 is rejected at a significance level of 0.05. Therefore, it may be inferred that the project-based learning paradigm has an impact on students' learning results in the subject of growth substance.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is a reciprocal interaction between students and teachers and between students and students which involves various components to achieve mathematics learning goals. Mathematics learning in schools continues to be pursued in order to increase motivation, quality of results and student learning outcomes. Various methods continue to be used, one of which is by synergizing the components involved in learning. The components involved in learning are objectives, learning materials (materials), learning activities, methods, media, tools and resources as well as evaluation.

Abstract

This research was conducted to improve students' reading and writing skills. Because the ability to read and write the beginning is still very low. The use of multiple methods as a solution to be used in the learning process is a strategy to be able to achieve learning objectives. This research method is based on Classroom Action Research (PTK) which in the process carries out several stages including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of this study is a student of 1st grade SDN 2 Sodong. The data collection technique uses a qualitative descriptive approach and is presented in tabular form. The research was conducted in 2 cycles, cycle 1 showed the results that the completeness of beginning reading was 46% and the completeness of beginning writing was 38.4%. In Cycle 2 there was a very significant change with reading and writing completeness of 85%. Thus, the use of multi-methods is proven to improve reading and writing skills in grade 1.

Abstract

This research is motivated by observational data showing "Student Awareness That They Are Perpetrators of Verbal Sexual Harassment in the World of Education" to respond to this, the researchers conducted research at Senior High School (SMA) which aims to find out students' far-reaching responses about (1) an increase in verbal sexual? (2) Angry away knowledge of forms of verbal sexual hatred? (3) Who is the perpetrator of verbal abuse that is most often found in the world of education? This research was conducted at a high school with a total of 65 respondents. Abstract

Implementing educational planning using the LKP IT value added method at PKBM is a strategic choice to increase students' excellence in the competitive IT labor market. PKBM Hidayatul Mu'alimin as a non-formal educational institution wants development, which requires a strategy to improve service quality, one of which is the existence of LKP IT (Information and Technology Skills and Training Institute). The aim of the research is to find out how PKBM Hidayatul Muta'alimin in Sukabumi City develops educational programs that are relevant to industrial needs and increase student competency in the competitive IT job market, as well as to obtain information regarding educational planning and implementation using the LKP IT value added method. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The results of the research stated that the Planning and Implementation of Education using the LKP IT Value Added Method at PKBM Hidayatul Muta'alimin Sukabumi City stated that mapping the needs of the IT industry, integrated with elements of self-development and soft skills in the curriculum, the implementation of IT training education at PKBM focused on efforts in maximizing strengths and opportunities, in overcoming the weaknesses and threats of current education.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) the communication process of teachers and students; (2) the communication pattern of teachers and students; and (3) the teacher's strategy to communicate with class XII MPLB students in learning human resource management at SMK N 1 Surakarta. This research is mixed with the type of sequential explanatory designs using descriptive quantitative and qualitative phenomenological research approaches. Respondents are all students of class XII MPLB and informants of teachers and students of class XII MPLB SMK N 1 Surakarta. The sampling technique used was quota sampling for quantitative data and purposive sampling for qualitative data. Data collection was done by questionnaire, interview, observation, and document study. The data validity test technique was carried out with content validation for quantitative data and reliability testing with source triangulation and technical triangulation, transferability testing, dependability testing, and confirmability testing. Quantitative data analysis used descriptive and qualitative data that was analyzed with an interactive model. The results showed that: (1) The communication process of teachers and students of class XII MPLB in learning human resource management at SMK N 1 Surakarta is still not optimal, with the majority using mixed language, fierce expressions, and voice intonations that are tense and frightening. (2) Communication patterns that occur in learning are one-way, two-way, and multi-directional. However, as much as 44.8% of the communication that occurs is one-way, which means that the tendency of communication that occurs is one-way because teachers tend to only lecture and tell their personal experiences, and students' perceptions if they ask questions or have opinions are not on their own initiative. As many as 51.4% of students' courage to ask questions is not optimal because students are afraid of teachers who look fierce and feel embarrassed with their friends. As many as 52.4% of students' courage in conveying ideas is not optimal because they are afraid of their fierce teachers and are not confident. As many as 54.3% of students feel that teachers value students' opinions, but there are also those who feel otherwise. (3) The communication strategy carried out by the teacher is to use a friendly approach to create a good relationship between teachers and students. In addition, teachers also show cheerfulness in learning by using humor to create a pleasant learning atmosphere and help students feel motivated to learn. Thus, these strategies help create a positive learning environment and support students' active participation.
