Inclusive education has become a discussion in the global community. The involvement of the global community in the success of education and learning that is student-friendly, environmentally friendly, and learning-friendly is needed. Therefore, inclusive education has undergone many changes and advances in the education system in Southeast Asia in particular and the world in general. Until now, inclusive education has grown and established itself in providing the widest possible opportunity and space for students with special needs to stand equal to other students so that they can become an active part of society and the country. However, it can’t be denied that the practice of special education still needs various improvements in various aspects. This condition is a challenge for Special Education to continue to develop and adapt to respond to challenges in the future. To answer these challenges requires research, publication, innovation, and creativity as well as an accommodation based on the needs of the community, educators, educational staff, and students. The International Conference on Special Education in the Southeast Asian Region (ICSAR) is one of the answers to the requirements for the growth of special education in Southeast Asia. Abstract

Self-protection technique is one of the important skills that must be possessed by students with visual impairment, where this technique is one part of the mobility orientation. Mobility orientation skills must be possessed by every students with visual impairment so that they can work independently. However, in reality there are not a few students who have not mastered mobility orientation skills even though in their immediate environment, namely the home environment, such as the case found in SLB Aisyiyah Kawalu, namely on the subject of SLN. This study was conducted to determine how much influence self-protection techniques have on walking skills in the home environment on blind students, namely SLN. This study uses a quantitative approach and experimental methods, with the independent variable being self-protection techniques and the dependent variable being traveling independence. Data collection in this study used one cycle, namely (Baseline 1 – Intervention 1 – Baseline 2) which was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of this study show that the percentage from baseline 1 is 35%, intervention is 55%, and in baseline condition 2 it is 65%. So, it can be concluded from the results of this study that there is a change in SLN in walking skills in the home environment, using self-protection techniques SLN begins to walk in the home environment independently.

Abstract

This research aims to identify students with special needs, create their profiles, and design appropriate intervention programs. A qualitative method with a case study design was used with data collection instruments in the form of observation, documentation and interviews. Research subjects included school principals, teachers, regular students, children with special needs, and parents. The research was conducted in class IV of SDN Purwasari, Subang Regency, with a focus on identifying aspects of reading, writing and arithmetic. The results of the analysis show that one student, DI, has the lowest score in all three aspects. The next step is to prioritize the reading aspect because DI is not yet able to read. The reading assessment was carried out in three parts, and the results showed that DI still had difficulty answering questions or commands. Teachers are expected to design intervention programs on aspects of visual perception and phonological awareness before entering beginning reading material.

Abstract

The implementation of inclusive education cannot be separated from the times. Currently, the era of massive use of technology, including in the scope of education. The purpose of this study is to examine the theory of cybergogy about inclusive education in higher education. The method used is a systematic review of the literature. The literature review was conducted by selecting articles from journals published within 5 years (2020-2024). The steps taken in this research are plan review, conduct review, and document review. The results of the literature study revealed that the cybergogy learning strategy significantly impacts students' learning experience. The cybergogy model activates cognitive, emotional, and social factors, and influences participation in online learning. However, there is still little literature that discusses the implementation of inclusive education using the cybergogy approach. Even though there are many studies on the use of technology in education, it seems that the application of cybergogy theory to inclusive education in higher education has not received much attention. Based on the analysis of the basic principles of cybergogy, there is an opportunity to combine the cybergogy approach with its implementation in inclusive education in higher education.

Abstract

Assessment is an access used to determine the abilities, difficulties and needs of a child which is then used as a reference to develop an appropriate learning program. A teacher, especially a teacher who handles children with special needs, is required to be able to compile assessment instruments that are suitable for the children he handles. The purpose of this study was to develop a non-locomotor basic motion assessment instrument for class III moderate mental retardation child at SDLB SLB Negeri Luragung. Non-locomotor basic movements are used in learning activities usually in warming up or cooling down during sports that contain motion patterns such as bending, twisting, swinging and bending. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive method. The data in this study were obtained from observations, interviews, FGDs, and validation. The results of observations made by research to three grade III moderate mental retardation child show that children experience obstacles in gross motor non-locomotor basic movements such as in sports lessons during warm-ups the child looks stiff and less able to maintain body balance so as not to fall, while in daily activities maintaining body balance while doing activities in place is very necessary. Therefore, researchers are interested in compiling a non-locomotor basic motion assessment instrument for grade III moderate disability children to find out more about what the child's difficulties are in basic non-locomotor movements, then the results of the assessment instruments that have been prepared are validated to determine readability and applicability.

Abstract

Autism spectrum disorder is a comprehensive developmental disorder that can result in barriers in several aspects of development such as social, communication, and behavioral aspects from mild to severe. The symptoms of autism generally appear before the child reaches the age of 3 years. Currently, the exact cause of autism has not been found yet, but some studies suggest that the cause of autism is a disturbance in the function of the central nervous system caused by abnormalities in brain structure. Disorders experienced by children with autism are disorders in the field of social interaction such as the absence of eye contact with the interlocutor, in the field of communication both verbal and non-verbal. Intensive and optimal early intervention that can be useful for the treatment of autistic children is commonly referred to as therapy.
