Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work ability and compensation on employee performance at the Directorate of Communication and User Guidance, Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. Work ability and compensation are important factors in supporting employee performance to improve the effectiveness of service and supervision of the agency. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. The sample in this study was 43 employees selected through saturated sampling techniques. The data collection technique used a questionnaire, and data analysis used validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, hypothesis tests, and determination tests with the help of SPSS software. It is known that the t-value of Variable X1 is 4.735 which is greater than the t-table of 1.684, so there is a positive influence between X1 and Y, the sig value is 0.000 0.05, so the influence is significant. The calculated t value of X2 is 1.868 1.684, there is an influence between X2 and Y, the sig value of X2 is 0.069 0.05, X2 has a significant influence on performance, the f test sig value is 0.001 0.05 and the calculated f value is 83.780 2.84, that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning there is a significant influence of variables X1 and X2 simultaneously on performance. The determination value is 0.807 or equal to 80.7%, meaning that variables X1 and X2 simultaneously have an effect on Y of 80.7%. While the remaining (100% - 80.7% = 0.193 variables are not accurate. Where the correlation level at 80.7% can be stated to have a strong correlation. The independent variables in this study are work ability (X₁) and compensation (X₂), while the dependent variable is employee performance (Y). The results of the study show that work ability and compensation partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This finding indicates that increasing work ability and providing appropriate compensation can encourage an increase in overall employee performance.

Abstract

Diarrheal disease is one of the infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract that is a health problem in the world including Indonesia. Indonesia Health Profile Year 2020 data showed that diarrhea was the number two contributor of deaths in infants aged 29 days–11 months i.e. 9.8% and in the group of toddlers aged 12–59 months accounting for 4.5% of total deaths. This study aims to find out how the influence of complementary administration of guava leaves seeds and honey on the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in post Mustika Bahari in 2024. The research method uses case study literature review (SCLR) with the number of samples as many as Attack. The results of the study showed that a decrease in the frequency of diarrhea occurred in respondent 1 who was administered the seed jasmine leaf decoction intervention i.e. at the initial visit stool frequency 7x in 24 hours with liquid consistency to 1x in 24 hours with initial solid consistency, as well as in respondent AB visit 2 intervention in honey6 in 24 hours with liquid consistency becomes 2x in 24 hours with tart consistency. The conclusion of the study was that seed guava leaf decoction intervention proved to be more effective in decreasing stool frequency in diarrheic toddlers compared to honey intervention. Advice for mothers of toddlers is expected to be able to apply the education delivered by healthcare workers regarding the administration of decoction of guava seed leaves and honey to children experiencing diarrhea so that diarrheal problems in children can be addressed as soon as possible.

Abstract

The ethos of work in Islam does not just mean productivity, but the values, morals, and purpose of a Muslim’s life. In Islam, work is defined not only as a worldly activity, but also as an act of worship. Therefore, faith, as the foundation of faith, has a significant influence in shaping one’s work style. The results of this discussion show that a strong faith makes one honest, disciplined, responsible, and works with the intention of worship. Thus, the Islamic work ethos constitutes an important solution to answer the moral challenges of the modern era. Islamic Work Ethos through the Application of Islamic Akhlaq and Law constitutes an important effort in shaping a working environment that is ethical and grounded in Islamic principles. This study explores the role of ethics and Islamic law in shaping an Islamic work ethos. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews and document analysis. The results show that a good understanding and application of morality can improve employees’ productivity, quality of work, and job satisfaction. On the other hand, a deep understanding of Islamic law provides a solid foundation for fair and responsible business practices.Al-Ghazali. (2017).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Extensive Reading method on improving English vocabulary mastery among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 12 Sipatana. Vocabulary mastery is an important aspect of English language skills, which underlies the ability to read, write, speak, and listen. The Extensive Reading method is considered effective because it provides broad and contextual language input through enjoyable free reading activities that are in line with students' interests. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of the one group pre-test and post-test type. The sample in this study consisted of 23 seventh-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 50 questions covering four parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs). The data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test through the SPSS version 23 program. The results showed a significant increase in the post-test average score (60.30) compared to the pre-test (56.47). The statistical test showed a significance value of 0.000 0.05, which means Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Extensive Reading method has a positive and significant effect on improving students' vocabulary mastery. These findings support that Extensive Reading can be an effective alternative learning strategy to increase students' motivation and vocabulary skills in English learning at the junior high school level..

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of the group discussion method in improving student learning outcomes at SMA PAB 4 Sampali. The background of this research is based on the low level of active student participation in the learning process, which affects their academic achievement. The group discussion method is considered as one of the learning approaches that can encourage active participation, enhance conceptual understanding, and develop students’ critical thinking skills. This study employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were subject teachers and students involved in the learning process using the group discussion method. The findings indicate that the implementation of the group discussion method increases students’ activeness in asking questions, expressing opinions, and collaborating, which positively impacts their learning outcomes. Thus, the group discussion method can be considered an effective strategy to improve the quality of learning in schools.

Abstract

The New Musthafawiyah Islamic Boarding School is one of the private institutions that has an important role in developing the talents of the students at the pesantren in the learning process and various kinds of extracurriculars, be it general subjects, special subjects such as Islamic Religious education, Aqidah Akhlak, Fiqh and Al-Qur'an and Hadith. However, the author only focuses on the communication patterns used by the teacher or ustadz of the Old Musthafawiyah Islamic Boarding School in fostering the morals of students, where there are still some obstacles experienced by caregivers in fostering the morals of the students, namely that there are still many students who do not know the importance of character, behavior, character, temperament, character, behavior and good habits. Therefore, better communication patterns are needed to uphold the discipline of students. The type of research used in this research is a type of research with a descriptive qualitative approach, the data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded that the types of communication patterns that occur in the musthafawiyah Islamic boarding school are divided into three communication patterns, namely the wheel communication pattern where there is already communication between the leadership and the teacher by making direct visits. communication patterns of two-way communication circles using the question and answer method, lectures, as well as socialization between teachers and students, and star or all-channel communication patterns that involve all channels, be it the leaders of the Islamic boarding school, teachers or students. Then the inhibiting factors such as limited time, community environment, gadgets and special places for coaching, and the supporting factors are active students, and the use of language that is easy to understand.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Smart Multiplication Wheel media in improving motivation and understanding of the multiplication concept. The background of the problem is the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 106813 Amplas due to less varied teaching methods. The research method used is a quantitative experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design involving 30 students. The results of the research show a significant increase in learning outcomes. The number of students who passed the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) increased from 18 students (60%) in the pretest to 25 students (83.3%) in the posttest, an increase of 23.3%. There was a shift in the concentration of student scores from a lower interval to a higher interval after the use of the media. The Smart Multiplication Wheel media proved effective in enhancing students' motivation, active participation, and conceptual understanding, making the learning process more interactive and enjoyable.

Abstract

English is an international language,many science books and economic busines market in this world use english as formal language to connect each other.But in fact, learning English as second language still became a problem for indonesian students. It is might lack of creativity between teacher and learner in exploit new tings around us every day. The students problem are so variety,start form; lack of media,lack of self confiden and many more. Basically, there are four skills required in English teaching learning program. They are reading, speaking, listening and writing. Base on those skill, speaking is one of the most important skill in language learning. By speaking, we can convey information and ideas, and maintain social relationship by communicating with others.By speaking people make interaction between individua1 and community. The writer tried to use voice recorder aplication as media to improve student in speaking skill and used picture as media to control student focuse during their spek ,the reason is because every students in indonesia especially in west java have phone cell. their phone cell are so variety with the famous operational system (OS)in their phone,they are; Iphone,Android,Blackberr, Microsoft. Voice recorder are comon feature in every singlephone and many variety of voice model.

Abstract

Determining appropriate credit limits is essential for financial institutions to manage credit risk effectively while optimizing revenue. This study aims to develop a predictive model for credit limits using linear regression, incorporating primary features such as Rating, Income, and Balance. The dataset consists of 400 credit card customer records with 11 variables, comprising both numerical and categorical data. The research follows the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) methodology, covering stages including business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. Data analysis was conducted using Google Colab, involving quality assessment, categorical feature encoding through label encoding, and data normalization utilizing MinMaxScaler. Correlation analysis results indicated that Rating, Income, and Balance have strong correlations with Credit Limit, hence these three variables were chosen as primary predictors for the modeling process.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to figure out how Triple Market Kemang Pratama Bekasi Customer Loyalty, Service Quality, and Customer Satisfaction are connected. The coffee business is becoming more and more competitive, therefore it's important to provide great service, particularly from baristas, to attract and keep consumers. The study asked 70 people who go to the place often to fill out a survey. We used multiple linear regression to look at the data after doing a number of preliminary checks, such as tests of validity, reliability, and classical assumptions. A questionnaire was used to get the data. The study found that there is a statistically significant link between customer loyalty and both service quality (X1) and customer satisfaction (X2). The significance levels for both variables are 0.000 and 0.016, respectively. When these two things are put together, they have a big effect on how loyal customers are. These two variables explain 73.2% of the difference in customer loyalty, whereas other factors explain the other 26.8%.
