Abstract

Persons with disabilities in Indonesia face various physical, mental, and social challenges that significantly affect their self-esteem. This study aims to explore the role of community counseling in enhancing the self-esteem of individuals with disabilities. Employing a literature review methodology, this research analyzed relevant theories and empirical findings. The results indicate that community counseling, based on social support and individual empowerment, effectively enhances self-esteem by providing an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment. Additionally, community counseling helps individuals overcome social stigma, strengthen their support networks, and build self-confidence. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of integrating culturally sensitive and technology-driven approaches to improve service accessibility. The study's implications include recommendations for developing more inclusive and adaptive community counseling programs to address the unique needs of persons with disabilities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abu Bakar Muhammad bin Zakariya al-Razi (865–925 AD), is known as one of the leading scientists, philosophers, and doctors in Islamic civilization. His rational and humanist thinking has a great influence in various fields, especially philosophy and medicine. One of al-Razi's most controversial philosophical contributions is the concept of al-Qudama al-Khamsa or his five eternals. In this view, al-Razi put forward five eternal entities: God, soul, matter, time, and space. Unlike the dominant theological views of his time, this concept emphasizes a rational approach that aims to explain the origins of the universe metaphysically. This study aims to examine the life history of al-Razi, the development of his thinking, and a critical analysis of his five eternal concepts. The method used is a literature study by tracing relevant primary and secondary sources. The results of the study show that al-Razi combines the philosophy of materialism with a rationalist view. Although his five eternal concepts have drawn much criticism from scholars and philosophers, the idea has made a significant contribution to the discourse on metaphysics and the philosophy of science in the Islamic and Western worlds.

Abstract

This study analyzes customer protection policies in Islamic digital banks in Indonesia within the framework of Islamic economics. The research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of policies implemented to protect customers, particularly in the areas of personal data security, information transparency, and dispute resolution mechanisms. Using a literature review method, the study finds that most Islamic digital banks in Indonesia have implemented protective measures, including data encryption technology, provision of product information, and customer complaint systems. However, challenges remain, such as limited customer understanding of Islamic terminology and the need for improved efficiency in complaint resolution. This study recommends enhancements in data security education, simplification of language, and utilization of technology in customer service. The findings are expected to assist Islamic digital banks in improving the quality of customer protection and strengthening trust in Islamic digital banking services that align with Sharia principles.

Abstract

The development of increasingly advanced times means that media is developing rapidly. There are many conveniences in obtaining information from all over the world quickly, one of which is television. In television stations, many various kinds of programs are broadcast. And one of the programs most popular with teenager today is youth soap operas, this program can also be enjoyed online. Adolescents must receive special attention, so that in this research it will be known how much influence arises as a consequence of watching teenage soap operas, whether the impact is positive or negative. This influence and watching can influence one of the ways of dressing followed by the soap operas they watch. Therefore, the role of parents is very important and very influential in looking after and supervising their children so that they can dress modestly and politely according to what Islam teaches. Children cannot yet decide what is good or bad for themselves, because  during adolescence they experience more difficulties during their transition period.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the social interaction challenges faced by students at SD Fransiskus Bukittinggi, who come from various religious backgrounds, including Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Although this diversity could enrich the learning experience, religious differences often led to difficulties in forming social relationships among students, creating social distance, misunderstandings, and the emergence of stereotypes. These issues had the potential to create conflicts and tensions within the school environment. The research aims to describe efforts to strengthen religious moderation, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors, in order to promote harmony amidst diversity. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, employing observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The school principal and religious teachers served as the primary data sources, while students were considered supporting informants. The results show that efforts to strengthen religious moderation are carried out through the insertion of moderation values in religious education, interactive classroom discussions, extracurricular activities that encourage interfaith cooperation, and the evaluation of students’ attitudes. Supporting factors include school policies, strong cohesion between teachers and students, and adequate facilities. However, obstacles faced include the influence of social media, which can reinforcenegative stereotypes and hinder positive interactions between students.

Abstract

Anduring Village or Nagari is one of the villages located in the 2X11 Kayu Tanam District, Padang Pariaman Regency which has an area of 133.85 km². Nagari Anduring has seven smaller administrative areas or korong, namely Korong Rimbo Kalam, Korong Asam Pulau, Korong Kampuang Tangah, Korong Lubuk Napa, Korong Sipisang Sipinang, Korong Lubuk Aua, and Korong Balah Aia. Nagari Anduring has not brought in many local tourists on a regular basis, this is due to many contributing factors such as inadequate infrastructure and more than half of the area is a natural reserve forest with a slope of 15% to 45%. Nevertheless, Nagari Anduring has the potential for tourist attractions with attractive natural scenery such as waterfalls, rivers and from the agricultural sector. The purpose of this research is to identify and map the tourism potential in Nagari Anduring so that later it is expected to have a positive impact on the economy of the Nagari Anduring community.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in shaping students' noble character and morals, especially at the junior secondary education level. This study focuses on SMP PAB 15 Medan as a case to explore the extent of the effectiveness of PAI learning in forming noble morals in students. This type of research uses qualitative research, using a case study research approach which is taken in the form of case study research that occurs and is incentive in nature, detailed and in-depth regarding an educational institution. This research aims to collect the information needed to see the existing conditions regarding the Effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Learning. The results of this research are in Forming Noble Morals in Students: Case Study at Smp Pab 15 Medan. Effective Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning involves various comprehensive and student-centered approaches.

Abstract

This article sets out to examine the quality of the work environment as it plays a crucial role in improving employee performance and satisfaction. This research examines the various aspects that can influence the work environment, both physical and non-physical, and the impact on employee productivity. By creating an inclusive work environment that supports work-life balance, companies can not only improve employee performance, but also reputation in the eyes of customers and business partners. This article is based on a literature review study. This technique is used for the purpose of revealing various theories related to the problem under study as reference material for research results. According to Robbins, 2012 says “employees who have a high level of job satisfaction will tend to be more committed and contribute and have high dedication to the company and ultimately have the willingness to work harder and more productively. Likewise, employees with low levels of job satisfaction tend to turnover, as well as decreased discipline and work productivity”. In conclusion, it shows that investment in the quality of the work environment is an investment in human resources that will have a positive impact on the company in the long run.

Abstract

Sustainable economic development is an important global goal in the modern era, where the balance between economic growth, social justice, and environmental preservation is key. One major challenge in achieving this goal is the practice of usury (riba), which negatively impacts economic stability and creates injustice. From an Islamic perspective, riba is considered a cause of economic injustice that hinders the creation of a fair and inclusive economic system. Therefore, this paper explores the impact of riba on sustainable economic development and the role of technology, particularly fintech, as a solution that aligns with sharia principles. Sharia fintech can offer fair and efficient alternatives in the financial system, support inclusive economic growth, and reduce social inequality. However, challenges in implementing sharia-based technology need to be addressed through appropriate regulations, technological infrastructure, and public education. By combining technology and Islamic values, it is hoped that a more just and sustainable economic system can be created.

Abstract

Islamic education has a deep nature and a clear purpose in shaping the character of individuals and society. The essence of Islamic education is based on the principles of Islamic teachings that emphasize the importance of knowledge, morality, and self-development. The main goal of Islamic education is to guide students to become individuals who are faithful, pious, and have noble character, so that they are able to face various challenges of life wisely. In addition, Islamic education also aims to create a harmonious and just society, where every individual can contribute positively. With a comprehensive approach, Islamic education does not only focus on academic aspects, but also on spiritual, social, and emotional development, making it a means to achieve happiness in this world and the hereafter.
