Abstract

This study examines the development of Islamic banking in Indonesia, starting with the establishment of Bank Muamalat in 1991 as the first Islamic bank. This sector offers financial products and services that comply with Islamic principles, attracting the interest of those seeking interest-free alternatives. Regulatory support from the government, through policies from Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), along with socialization programs, has strengthened the growth of Islamic banking. Although it still holds a small market share, increasing public awareness and the adoption of digital technology present greater growth opportunities. In the future, Islamic banking is expected to make a more significant contribution to the national economy and support better financial inclusion in Indonesia.

Abstract

This scientific paper aims to analyze the **legal protection for the insured** in the context of concluding a life insurance policy for credit without undergoing a **medical check-up**. The issuance of a policy without a health examination can pose potential risks and consequences for the insured, particularly regarding the claims process in the future. This research utilizes a case study from **Decision No. 38/Pdt.G/2023/PN Tgl**, which illustrates how this practice can affect the rights of the insured. The findings indicate that while the issuance of life insurance policies for credit without a medical check-up provides convenience for clients, it also raises legal issues related to the validity of the contract and the obligations of the insurance company. The court's decision in this case study highlights the importance of legal protection for the insured and the necessity for transparency in the policy issuance process. Thus, this paper underscores the importance of a clear understanding of the rights of the insured and the need for adequate regulations to safeguard their interests within the insurance industry.

Abstract

In this paper, we will discuss further about Muhkam and Mutasyabah in the interpretation of the Al-Qur'an, as well as how Islamic religious experts understand and apply these concepts in the interpretation process. We will also discuss how Muhkam and Mutasyabah influence the interpretation of the Qur'an and how they help Islamic schoalars understand the meaning of the Qur'an better. In the process of interpretation, Islamic religious experts must understand the differences between Muhkam and Mutasyabah. They must understand that the Muhkam verses have a clear and undeniable meaning, while the Mutasyabah verses have meanings that can be interpreted differently. By understanding these differences, Islamic religious experts can carry out more accurate and deeper interpretations, thereby understanding the meaning of the Qur'an better.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social impact of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and BPJS Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) from a community perspective. The approach used in this study is qualitative with an in-depth interview method with program beneficiaries to measure changes in social welfare. The results of the study indicate that PKH contributes to improving the ability to fulfill basic needs, children's education, and health services. BPJS PBI opens wider access to health services for vulnerable groups. However, several challenges were found, including the distribution of assistance that was not on target, social stigma against beneficiaries, and the quality of services that were still partly inadequate. In addition, this program also has an impact on increasing social participation in the community, such as involvement in beneficiary meetings (KPM) which strengthen community solidarity. Thus, the PKH and BPJS PBI programs have great potential to reduce social inequality in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Community Service (PKM) activity entitled “Uangmu Adalah Mimpimu di Masa Depan, Ayo Rencanakan Keuangan Raih Impian” was carried out by the Pamulang University Serang Campus team at SMA Negeri 2, Cipocok Jaya District, Serang City, Banten. This activity aims to improve students' financial literacy through an understanding of the importance of wise financial management as a step towards achieving dreams in the future. A qualitative approach was used to describe the effectiveness of the socialization method used. The results of the activity showed that students who previously did not understand the importance of financial literacy now have a better awareness of financial management, including distinguishing needs and wants, saving, and starting investments. The responses of active participants were conveyed through high participation in discussions and questions related to financial management strategies. This activity also succeeded in motivating students to implement a frugal and disciplined lifestyle, as well as to prepare long-term financial plans. Through this education, it is hoped that students can build positive habits in managing finances, reduce consumptive behavior, and increase their confidence in personal financial management. The positive impact achieved shows the great potential of PKM as a sustainable education program to empower the younger generation financially.

Abstract

Islamic economics is an economic system based on Islamic principles, integrating spiritual values and ethics into economic activities. This paper aims to examine the fundamental philosophy of Islamic economic thought, focusing on the relationship between spiritual values and principles of justice in Islamic economics. In Islamic economic thought, prosperity is not only viewed as the achievement of material gain, but also as an effort to realize social justice, balance, and sustainable prosperity. The spiritual values in Islamic economics emphasize sincere intentions (ikhlas) in every transaction, while the principle of justice is applied through the prohibition of usury (riba), uncertainty (gharar), and speculation (maysir), as well as the implementation of wealth redistribution through zakat, waqf, and infak. Moreover, Islamic economics also emphasizes the importance of social responsibility and solidarity among individuals to create a just and prosperous society. By integrating moral and spiritual aspects in economic management, Islamic economics offers an alternative economic system that is more inclusive, ethical, and sustainable, providing solutions to the challenges faced by the global conventional economic system.
