Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine the ability of class VIII students at MTs Jamilurrahman As-Salafy Yogyakarta in Arabic. Arabic is one of the main subjects in this madrasah, and the mastery of four Arabic language skills. The four skills are listening (istima'), speaking (kalam), reading (qiroah), and writing (kitabah) are very important in the learning process. The research method used was my research with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through written and oral Arabic tests conducted on students of class VIII. The test results were categorised into several score ranges, and the students' Arabic language skills were analysed based on the predicates obtained. The results showed that most of the students had deficient Arabic language skills, with 48% of the total students being at the predicate of "Deficient". A total of 21% of students got the predicate "Very Good," 19% of students got the predicate "Good," and 12% of students got the predicate "Fair." The study also noted factors that influence students' Arabic language proficiency, including learning methods, textbooks, materials, educational institutions and time. Madrasah Tsanawiyah Jamilurrahman As-Salafy Putri Yogyakarta plays an important role in shaping students' Arabic language skills, but there are challenges in improving overall Arabic language skills. This study provides an understanding of the status of students' Arabic language skills at MTs Jamilurrahman As-Salafy Putri Yogyakarta and shows the importance of developing Arabic language learning at the madrasah.

Abstract

A cooling machine or commonly called an Air Conditioner (AC) is a system of auxiliary machines that can create cool temperatures in certain rooms so that workers on ships feel comfortable. Cooling machines are used to regulate and manage air quality which are includes air circulation, air conditioning, air hygiene standards and air purification. There are several main components in the cooling machine, namely the Compressor, Condenser, Expansion Valve, Evaporator. Each of these important components has different functions and ways of operating, but are connected to each other so that the cooling machine can function. The purpose of the author making this final project is to determine the performance of the cooling system, factors that reduce the performance of the cooling machine, as well as repair and maintenance efforts so that the cooling machine can return to normal operation. This research was conducted on the MV. Vancouver by using a qualitative approach. The author conducted direct observations as well as in-depth interviews and documentation studies when conducting research. The results of the author's research found that the main factor causing the decline in the performance of the cooling machine was the appearance of sparks on the evaporator and coil pipe caused by interference with the filter dryer so that it inhibits heat absorption and the evaporator cannot evaporate the refrigerant optimally. The impact caused by the less than optimal operation of the cooling machine in the Engine Room Workshop MV. Vancouver was an unstable room temperature making the crew feel uncomfortable while working or resting.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the argumentative process contained in the YouTube Channel Doha Debate with the title “Gender Equality (Full Debate) Doha debates presenting three spokespersons by using five principles based on Damer’s theory. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Data has been collected in the analysis by way of presenting, describing, and interpreting data. Research results show that there are twelve data in in this study, such as structural principle (twelve data), relevance (ten data), acceptability (one Data), sufficiency (six data), and rebuttal principle (four data). The researcher found that the structural principle is most dominantly used in the argument because there is a claim from the speaker’s argument to strengthen the speaker’s statement so that it can be accepted by the audience, relevance of reasons that are directly related to the claim, acceptability of the audience's opinion regarding the speakers’ argument, sufficiency provides evidence to strengthen the argument, and rebuttal principle which is the speaker's criticism of the argument presented by the opponent. Therefore, this concluded that the most consistent during the debate was Randa saying that quotas can help gender equality while Christina said that quotas cannot work and only harm because there is no evidence that gender quotas can help equality.

Abstract

The pilgrimage to Mecca, known as Hajj, is a significant religious obligation for Muslims around the world. Indonesia, with its large Muslim population, annually sends a substantial number of pilgrims to perform Hajj. This study conducts an evaluation of the policy regarding the organization of Hajj and assesses its implications on the government expenditure of Indonesia for the year 2023. The evaluation focuses on the efficiency, effectiveness, and financial sustainability of the current policy, considering factors such as Hajj quota management, transportation, accommodation, and associated services. The study aims to provide insights into how the Hajj policy impacts the Indonesian government's fiscal allocation and overall budgeting, shedding light on potential areas for improvement and optimization of resources in the future. The findings of this research contribute to better policy formulation and decision-making processes, ultimately aiming to enhance the overall management of Hajj and optimize government expenditure.

Abstract

This research purpose to determine the financial performance of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk in 2018-2022 period using financial ratio analysis. The basis for assessing and achieving a company is through financial analysis so that the company can control its financial condition and create a company framework. In assessing the job prospects of a company in the past and future and assessing the achievements of a company, financial ratio analysis is used which includes liquidity ratios (current ratio), solvency ratios (debt to asset ratio), activity ratios (total asset turnover), profitability ratio (return on equity) and market ratio (earnings per share). This research is descriptive research which is studied quantitatively. The population of the research is all financial reports of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk is listed on the IDX in 2018-2022 period. The sample for this research is the financial position report and comprehensive income statement in 2018-2022 period. Data collection was carried out using documentation techniques. The results of this research found that the overall financial performance of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk in 2018-2022 period based on analysis of liquidity ratios and solvency ratios is in fairly good condition. Meanwhile, profitability ratios and market ratios are in good condition. However, regarding the activity ratio, the condition of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk is still not efficient so it can be said to be not good. This is due to an increase in sales and total assets during the 2018-2022 period. Based on the results of calculations and analysis of financial ratios, it can be concluded that the financial performance of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk in 2018-2022 period experiences growth in various aspects and profitability can increase, making the company profitable.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and evaluate the criminal liability imposed on tourists who damage the Uma Lengge Maria cultural heritage in Maria Village, Wawo District, Bima Regency. Bima is an area that has cultural and tourism diversity. One of the cultural and tourism diversity is the Uma Lengge Maria Cultural Reserve which is located in Maria Village, Wawo District, Bima Regency. Uma Lengge is a traditional house of the Bima people which has existed for a long time and must be maintained in its existence and beauty so that it remains intact and its beauty can be enjoyed for the future. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. A descriptive approach is an approach that aims to systematically describe the facts and characteristics of a particular population or in a particular field factually and carefully. Data collection methods were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis method is carried out in the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that legal action is taken against criminal liability for tourists who damage the cultural heritage at Uma Lengge Maria. Uma Lengge in the Maria Village Tourist Area, there are 13 uma lengge and 103 jompa. The existence of uma lengge must be maintained so that its existence remains well into the future. there are sanctions and criminal liability for tourists who damage the Uma Lengge Maria cultural heritage in Wawo District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

A blackout on a ship is a condition where the main propulsion power source on the ship does not operate due to the lack of electrical supply from the diesel generator, which serves as the primary source of electricity on the ship. Ship maneuvering, on the other hand, refers to the ability to turn and pivot while sailing. This ability is crucial for the safety of the ship, especially when operating in restricted waters or near ports. The blackout occurs as a result of generator overload or the inability of an electrical voltage and current to flow too high or too large. The load is too high because the bow thruster consumes too much electrical voltage. In fact, on KM. Dharma Kartika IX, the generator has already supplied a significant amount of electricity to various parts of the ship, including the lighting system throughout the ship, from the mast to deck 3, the cooling system, and several navigation systems. The aim of this research is to understand and explain the causes of blackouts in the electrical system of KM Dharma Kartika IX during maneuvering and to find solutions that should be implemented in case of problems with the generator unit. The method I used to gather this data is through direct observation during seagoing service on the subjects under examination.

Abstract

Negligence during duty on board has a significant negative impact on loading and unloading activities. Problems in loading and unloading activities often arise due to both internal and external factors such as human error, equipment issues, and natural conditions. This study aims to investigate negligence during duty on the MV. Andhika Kanishka ship at Muara Pantai Port, focusing on the factors, consequences, and strategies for addressing it. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, involving direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentary analysis, and data was triangulated for analysis. The subjects for interviews included the ship's captain and crew. The research results indicate that: 1) Factors contributing to negligence are carelessness and psychological factors; 2) Consequences include errors during loading, difficulty in closing hatches and hatch covers, and cross-deck becoming dirty; and 3) Strategies for addressing negligence during duty involve maintaining communication, shifting cargo, and cleaning the ship's deck.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the Food and Beverage sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2017-2021 with the title "Analysis of Activity, Liquidity, and Solvency on Profitability in Food and Beverage Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Period 2017-2021." The data used in this study is quantitative data from secondary sources. The sample was selected using purposive sampling based on specific criteria, with 27 companies selected as samples, making a total of 135 companies studied from the period 2017-2021. The research technique used was multiple linear regression analysis.Partially, the findings of this research state that: 1) Activity has a positive and significant effect on profitability, indicated by a significant value of 0.052 ≤ 0.05 and a t-value of 1.963 > 1.65648. 2) Liquidity has a positive and significant effect on profitability, with a significant value of 0.044 ≤ 0.05 and a t-value of 2.038 > 1.65648. 3) Solvency has a positive and significant effect on profitability, with a significant value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05 and a t-value of 18.944 > 1.65648. 4) Simultaneously, activity, liquidity, and solvency have a positive and significant effect on profitability, as indicated by a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 and an F-value of 147.949 > 3.07. The determination test shows that 76.7% of the variations in activity, liquidity, and solvency affect profitability, while 23.3% (100% - 76.7%) is influenced by other factors beyond the independent variables studied in food and beverage companies listed on the IDX from 2017 to 2021.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of intrapreneurship and organization on the financial performance of MSMEs (Micro, Small And Medium) in Denpasar City. This study uses a qualitative method. The MSME population in Denpasar City reached 32,476 MSMEs and the sample used was 100 MSMEs in Denpasar city. This study uses data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires. Validity and reliability tests were carried out on respondents who owned MSMEs in Denpasar City. The results of the t test can be obtained t-count of the Intrapreneurship variable of 1.231 with a significance value of 0.221. This significance value is greater than the significance limit value, which is equal to 0.05. Means that Intrapreneurship has a positive and insignificant effect on Financial Performance. The results of the t test can be obtained by the t-count value of the Organizational variable of 5.052 with a significance value of 0.000. This significance value is smaller than the significance limit value, which is equal to 0.05. Means the organization has a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Based on the results of the F test, the F value is 20.324 with a significance level of 0.000, so simultaneously the Intrapreneurship and Organization variables have a significant effect on the Financial Performance variable. As well as from the test results of the coefficient of determination, the R Square value shows a value of 0.295 or 29.5% indicating that the ability of the independent variable to explain the effect on the dependent variable and the remaining 70.5% can be explained by other variables outside of the research variable.
