Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the types of ambiguity of meaning and their forms of realization in netizens' comments on the Instagram account @totalpolitikcom, thereby describing the characteristics of ambiguous communication in online spaces. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were selected using a purposive sampling technique that focuses on comments containing ambiguity such as satire and sarcasm. Data collection was carried out using the listening and note-taking technique, while data analysis used the distribution method with the Direct Element Sharing (BUL) technique and advanced techniques. The results of the study indicate two types of ambiguity: lexical and grammatical ambiguity. Lexical ambiguity consists of homonymy and polysemy, which appear in the form of evaluative words, metaphorical phrases, informal language, emoticons, and the use of adjectives and generic expressions. Meanwhile, grammatical ambiguity appears in the form of parallel phrases, elliptical structures, unclear contexts, and the formation of non-standard words such as slang and informal word combinations. These findings suggest that ambiguity is a common communication strategy in digital interactions and contributes to the development of pragmatic literacy in cyberspace. The limitation of this study lies in the focus on data that only comes from Instagram comments on @totalpolitikcom, thus it does not yet represent the entire phenomenon of ambiguity on social media. Future research is recommended to expand the object of study to other platforms and to develop digital pragmatic analysis in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of coaches at SLB Aisyiyah Sijunjung in improving the swimming achievements of students with intellectual disabilities. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The main informants were swimming coaches, while additional informants were sports teachers involved in the training process. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results showed that coaches played an important role in improving students’ swimming achievements through psychological, physical, social, and character-building approaches. Coaches applied adaptive strategies such as simple communication, direct demonstrations, gradual and repetitive training, as well as continuous motivation and positive reinforcement adjusted to students’ characteristics. The obstacles faced included limited concentration, unstable emotions, differences in motor abilities, and limited training facilities. However, these obstacles were overcome through individual approaches, collaboration with teachers and parents, and consistent training programs. The study implies that adaptive coaching and supportive training environments greatly influence students’ confidence, discipline, social interaction, and achievements in regional, national, and international swimming competitions

Abstract

The development of digital technology encourages teachers to create innovative learning media that are suitable for the characteristics of elementary school students. One subject that is still often taught conventionally is the topic of rights and responsibilities in the Pancasila education subject. This study aims to develop an interactive flipbook as a digital teaching material for elementary school students. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects are fifth-grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and validation sheets from material experts as well as media experts. The research results indicate that the interactive flipbook received a very feasible category from content experts and media experts. Teacher and student responses also showed positive results because the media is engaging, easy to use, and helps students understand the material better. Thus, the interactive flipbook can be used as an alternative digital teaching material in Pancasila education learning in elementary schools. This study is still limited to one school and one learning material, so the research results cannot yet be widely generalized. Therefore, it is recommended that further research develop interactive flipbooks for other materials and test their effectiveness on student learning outcomes with a broader scope.

Abstract

In the digital era, the need for easily accessible counseling services is increasing, especially for individuals facing geographic and mobility limitations. This study aims to explore the implementation of cyber counseling as an alternative to increase the accessibility of counseling services. The method used is a literature study by analyzing relevant scientific articles, reports, and academic sources related to cyber counseling and access to mental health services. Data sources were obtained from the Google Scholar database with a publication range of 1988–2024, using the keywords "cyber counseling services", "global cyber counseling era", and "cyber counseling in schools". Data analysis was conducted qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis indicate that cyber counseling has great potential in expanding access to counseling services, especially for groups who have difficulty accessing face-to-face services. However, its implementation still faces challenges, particularly related to data privacy and security, as well as counselor readiness and competence in utilizing technology effectively. These findings emphasize the need for more serious attention to technical and ethical aspects so that cyber counseling can be implemented optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Blooket learning media on the learning outcomes of 10th-grade students in the Hindu-Buddhist History subject at SMAN 4 Ambon. The study used a quantitative approach with a true experimental design method through a pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely a control class using the lecture method and an experimental class using Blooket media, each with 30 students. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test given before and after the treatment. Data analysis was carried out by calculating the average value and N-Gain. The results showed that the increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. The N-Gain value of the control class was in the medium category (0.53), while the experimental class reached the high category (0.70). These findings indicate that the use of Blooket media is more effective in improving student learning outcomes. Thus, digital game-based learning media can be an effective alternative to improve student learning outcomes in history learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive Kahoot-based quiz tool that integrates ethnomathematics into the teaching of three-dimensional shapes. The background of this study is students’ difficulty in understanding concepts and formulas, as well as the limited use of technology-based learning tools that highlight local wisdom. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model modified into a 3-D model (Define, Design, Develop). The study subjects included 4 mathematics lecturers and 3 junior high school teachers at the Assalam Islamic Boarding School in Pontianak. Data collection techniques used interviews and questionnaires, while validation analysis was conducted using Gregory’s theory. Results from the define stage indicated a high need for innovative and enjoyable learning. In the design phase, the media was organized through a storyboard and then validated in the development phase. The analysis results showed a Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.93 for the media aspect and 1.00 for the language and content aspects, which fall into the very high validity category. Thus, this interactive quiz media is deemed suitable for use in supporting competitive, meaningful, and contextual learning through the integration of culture and technology. However, this study is limited to the development phase and does not include a large-scale pilot test; furthermore, it has not measured the impact on student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended that future research conduct a more extensive field trial and assess the effectiveness of the media on student learning outcomes, motivation, and engagement

Abstract

This study aims to analyze chemical literacy and students’ conceptual understanding, as well as to identify effective learning strategies from a global perspective. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA approach on scientific articles indexed in Scopus within the period of 2015–2025. Based on the selection process, a total of 11 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using narrative synthesis and thematic analysis based on three main focuses: the development of chemical literacy, its relationship with conceptual understanding, and instructional approaches. The findings indicate that chemical literacy is a multidimensional construct encompassing knowledge, skills, attitudes, and the ability to apply concepts in real-life contexts, and it has evolved toward critical chemical literacy grounded in global issues. Furthermore, the results reveal that the level of students’ chemical literacy remains relatively low across various countries and is closely related to their conceptual understanding of chemistry. Various instructional approaches, such as context-based learning, socio-scientific issues (SSI), STEAM, argumentation, and technology integration, have been proven effective in enhancing both chemical literacy and conceptual understanding. In conclusion, chemical literacy and conceptual understanding are interrelated constructs that should be developed integratively through contextual and innovative learning approaches to address global challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the nature of Islamic education as an adaptive-transformative ecosystem in facing the dynamics of contemporary socio-cultural change. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research sourced from books, journal articles, and relevant scientific literature, and analyzed using content analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Islamic education has transformed into an organic ecosystem that acts as an ethical navigator (vanguard of humanity) in guiding the direction of civilization. Through the reconstruction of the concept of Insan Kamil, Islamic education is able to integrate science and religion holistically, thus giving birth to digital piety and contributing to mitigating the cultural gap (culture lag). In addition, Islamic education also plays a significant role in building spiritual resilience to face the mental health crisis and the phenomenon of self-alienation in the Alpha generation. The conclusion of this study confirms that Islamic education as an adaptive-transformative ecosystem is a strategic solution in responding to the global existential crisis, while also being the foundation for building a moderate, balanced, and just civilization based on the principle of rahmah li al-‘ālamīn. This research is limited by its theoretical-conceptual focus, requiring further empirical validation to test its effectiveness in the field. Therefore, it is recommended to develop a digital literacy-based curriculum integrated with character building and equitable infrastructure support for Islamic educational institutions

Abstract

This study investigates the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an aid for PPKn (Pancasila and Citizenship Education) teachers in designing Pancasila character-based assessments. Using a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, this study involved 45 PPKn teachers from public junior high and senior high schools in the city of Bandung as participants. Quantitative data were collected thru a structured questionnaire developed from the adaptation of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the TPACK framework, while qualitative data were obtained thru in-depth interviews with 12 informants selected thru purposive sampling. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression, while qualitative data were analyzed thru six-phase thematic analysis. The results show that 82.2% of teachers using AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot) experienced a statistically significant improvement in the quality of character assessment instruments across all measured dimensions, with the most notable improvements in the completeness of rubric descriptors and alignment with Pancasila values. The efficiency of assessment design increased on average by 63.4% in terms of time saved. Multiple regression analysis reveals that teachers' digital competence is the strongest predictor of the quality of AI-assisted assessments, emphasizing that AI functions as a collaborative tool rather than an autonomous substitute for professional assessments
