Abstract

The main issue addressed in this study is the limited involvement of teachers in decision-making and the low level of appreciation, which impacts organisational loyalty. This study aims to analyse the influence of female transformational leadership on teacher loyalty at SMAN 4 Sijunjung. A qualitative method with a case study design was employed. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, and were subsequently analysed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that female transformational leadership is implemented through moral exemplarity, participatory communication, and Islamic values such as amanah, musyawarah, and rahmah. These practices build trust and strengthen teachers’ emotional loyalty to the organisation. These findings confirm that a humanistic-religious leadership approach contributes to strengthening the school’s organisational culture. This study is limited to a single location with a limited number of informants and therefore cannot yet be widely generalised. Further research is recommended to involve more schools and employ a mixed-methods approach to obtain a more comprehensive picture

Abstract

This study aims to analyze business opportunities in education in the digital era, as well as the challenges and solutions that can be applied in educational institutions. The research uses a qualitative literature study approach to explore understanding of business opportunities, challenges, and solutions in the education sector. The data collection stages involve studying scientific articles, research reports, and relevant books published in the last five years. The data is analyzed using content analysis techniques with a qualitative descriptive approach through stages of data reduction, data classification, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that several educational business opportunities, such as agribusiness ventures, waste banks, teaching factories, school cooperatives, and creative educational businesses in Inclusive Schools, have great potential. However, they face challenges in human resource management, negative stigma, lack of student involvement, as well as budget constraints and limited access to technology. The proposed solutions include the implementation of technological innovations, entrepreneurship education, better resource management, and building collaboration and relationships. This study is limited to the use of literature sources from the last five years, so the review results have not yet covered the entire development of educational businesses more broadly and in depth. Therefore, further research is recommended to use empirical or mixed methods approaches involving field data in order to obtain more comprehensive results regarding the opportunities and challenges of educational businesses in the digital era

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of entrepreneurship models at elementary, secondary, and tertiary levels in order to improve students' entrepreneurial skills. This study uses a literature study approach by reviewing various scientific sources such as journal articles, books, and relevant research reports. Data are analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through a process of collection, reduction, and interpretation of findings to obtain a comprehensive picture of the implementation of entrepreneurship education at various levels of education. The results indicate that the development of entrepreneurship models needs to be adapted to the developmental characteristics of students at each level. In elementary education, entrepreneurship learning is more effectively delivered through simple activities that instill basic values such as discipline, responsibility, creativity, and independence. At the secondary level, students are directed to entrepreneurial practices through activities such as school bazaars, student cooperatives, and simple business projects that train basic managerial skills. Meanwhile, in higher education, entrepreneurship models emphasize direct practice, startup business development, and collaboration with the industrial world. Thus, structured and tiered entrepreneurship education can be an effective strategy in developing a creative, independent, and competitive generation in the field of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the collaboration between Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students' mental health at SMKN 1 Sijunjung. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The research subjects include BK teachers, PAI teachers, and the school principal who were selected purposively. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The obtained data were analyzed through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and their validity was tested through source and method triangulation techniques. The research results show that the collaboration between the school counselor (BK) teacher and the Islamic education (PAI) teacher at SMKN 1 Sijunjung is carried out through the integration of religious values in counseling services, coordination in handling student issues, as well as character and religious development activities. This collaboration is supported by good communication and cooperation among teachers, although there are still challenges such as time constraints, the absence of a systematic collaboration program, and limited competence in integrating psychological and spiritual approaches. Nevertheless, this collaboration has a positive impact on students' mental health, such as improved ability to manage emotions, inner calm, and more positive behavior.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the level of motivation to learn mathematics among Year 8 pupils at SMPN 29 Padang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach with a sample comprising all Year 8 students. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of a mathematics learning motivation questionnaire designed based on indicators of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, supplemented by documentation as supporting data. The data obtained were analysed using descriptive analysis techniques, calculating the percentage for each motivation indicator to determine the category of students’ learning motivation levels. The results of the analysis indicate that students’ motivation to learn mathematics falls into the high category, with a percentage of 67.55%. The difference in percentages between the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation indicators was not particularly significant, indicating that the influence of internal and environmental factors on students’ learning motivation was relatively balanced. An increase in both types of motivation has the potential to drive mathematics learning motivation into a higher category, thereby having a positive impact on learning outcomes and students’ interest in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Academic writing is an important skill but remains a challenge for students of English as a Foreign Language in higher education. This study aims to analyse the academic writing abilities of sixth-semester EFL students in terms of their language proficiency, the language problems they face, and their perceived learning needs regarding academic writing. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method involving 34 students as respondents. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire comprising multiple-choice questions, checklists, and a Likert scale. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics to illustrate trends in students’ abilities, problems, and needs. The results indicate that the majority of students are at an intermediate proficiency level, with the main challenges lying in the ability to produce analytical, coherent, and cohesive writing, as well as weaknesses in paragraph organisation and grammar. Furthermore, students demonstrated a high need for more effective academic writing learning models, particularly those emphasising the pre-writing stage and idea development. These findings highlight the importance of developing an academic writing curriculum that is student-centred and capable of integrating linguistic aspects and cognitive demands in academic writing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of parental involvement, teacher interaction, and literacy programmes in shaping pupils’ concentration, character, and academic achievement at Islamic primary schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah). The study employed a literature review using a qualitative approach, conducted through a systematic search and review of relevant journal articles, books, and research reports. Data were analysed using thematic synthesis to identify patterns, key findings, and the interrelationships between the variables under study. The results indicate that parental involvement contributes to building students’ self-regulation and character from within the family environment; positive teacher interactions play a role in strengthening concentration and learning attitudes at school; and literacy programmes that are consistently designed and implemented support the development of students’ concentration, character, and academic achievement. These three factors complement one another in forming a primary education ecosystem that supports students’ holistic development.

Abstract

This study discusses reducing nail-biting behavior using aversion technique for children with mild intellectual disabilities in Class III at SLB Wacana Asih Padang. The purpose of this study is to see whether the aversion technique can reduce nail-biting behavior in children with mild intellectual disabilities at SLB Wacana Asih Padang. This research was applied using a Single Subject (SSR) design type A-B, with the research subjects being children with mild intellectual disabilities in Class III at SLB Wacana Asih Padang. The variable tested in this study is the aversion technique as the independent variable, while nail-biting behavior is the dependent variable. Data were collected through direct observation, and the results were analyzed using visual graphics. The research results proved that the nail-biting behavior of children with mild intellectual disabilities reduced when applying the aversion technique, as seen from the comparison of values between the baseline condition (A) and the condition when the method was applied (B). Thus, the researchers concluded that the aversion technique can reduce nail-biting behavior in children with mild intellectual disabilities. This study has limitations in the limited number of subjects and the relatively short duration of the intervention, so the results cannot yet be generalized widely. Therefore, it is recommended that future research involves more subjects, extends the intervention time, and combines the aversion technique with other approaches to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

This article examines the construction of hadith authority within the Islamic scholarly tradition by positioning the classifications of sahih, hasan and da’if as an epistemological foundation for determining the reliability and validity of a narration. This study is motivated by the tendency for discussions of hadith to often stop at normative definitions, meaning that the role of hadith classification as a determinant of the scientific legitimacy of a narration has not yet been examined in depth. This research aims to explain the function of hadith classification as the epistemological basis of hadith authority, assess its relevance in contemporary hadith interpretation, and formulate a conceptual model that can bridge classical authority and the needs of modern interpretation. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review of classical and contemporary literature in hadith studies. The findings indicate that classical hadith classification theory retains strong significance in maintaining the discipline of verification, historical credibility, and the scientific validity of hadith. However, these theories have limitations when confronted with issues of socio-historical context, interpretation, and practical relevance in modern life. Therefore, this article proposes an integrative model that combines traditional chain of transmission verification with analysis of the text, historical context, normative objectives, as well as ethical and practical relevance. This model allows the authority of hadith to be preserved epistemologically whilst remaining responsive to the challenges of modernity
