Abstract

This research investigates the intricate relationship between drug legalization and crime rates, aiming to provide insights into the effects of drug policy reforms on public safety and well-being. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, the study integrates quantitative analysis with qualitative insights to examine changes in crime rates following drug legalization measures. Diverse data sources, including official crime statistics, surveys, interviews, and qualitative data from stakeholders, are utilized to capture both macro-level trends and micro-level dynamics. Preliminary findings suggest that the impact of drug legalization on crime rates varies across different jurisdictions and drug types, with some areas experiencing reductions in certain types of crime while others show no significant changes or even increases in crime rates. Alternative explanations, such as socio-economic factors, law enforcement strategies, market dynamics, temporal trends, and data limitations, are considered to enrich the interpretation of observed patterns. Moving forward, continued monitoring and evaluation are essential to assess the stability and persistence of effects, inform evidence-based policymaking, and promote public safety, health, and well-being in communities worldwide.

Abstract

Ideological radicalization among adolescents poses significant challenges to societal stability and security, necessitating comprehensive strategies for prevention and intervention. This research conducts a multidimensional analysis to explore the complex interplay of social influences, individual vulnerabilities, and ideological exposure in shaping susceptibility to extremist ideologies among adolescents. Drawing upon empirical findings, theoretical frameworks, and insights from existing literature, the study elucidates key patterns, relationships, and implications for policy, practice, and future research in the field. The analysis reveals the influential role of peer networks in amplifying vulnerability to radicalization, while also highlighting the nuanced dynamics of family influences and individual vulnerabilities. Psychological factors, such as identity crises and trauma, are identified as critical determinants of susceptibility to extremist narratives. Moreover, the proliferation of online radicalization emerges as a significant driver of radicalization processes, underscoring the importance of targeted interventions to address online influences and promote media literacy among adolescents. Policy implications emphasize the need for integrated approaches to prevention, including investments in education, community engagement, and online regulation. Practitioners are encouraged to prioritize community-based interventions and early support services to address underlying drivers of radicalization among at-risk adolescents.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of early childhood education programs in promoting early childhood development. Through a comprehensive study involving cognitive, social, and emotional domains, we assessed the impact of these programs on young children's developmental outcomes. Our findings reveal significant improvements in school readiness, problem-solving abilities, and social competence among children who participated in early childhood education programs compared to those who did not. These results underscore the enduring benefits of quality early education and highlight the importance of program quality, curriculum alignment with developmental milestones, and equitable access for all children. This research investigates the effectiveness of early childhood education programs in promoting holistic early childhood development. Through a quasi-experimental design, we analyzed the impact of these programs on cognitive, social, and emotional outcomes in young children. The results reveal significant positive effects, with program participants exhibiting improved school readiness, enhanced problem-solving skills, and greater social competence compared to their peers. These findings highlight the pivotal role of early education in equipping children with essential skills for academic achievement and socio-emotional well-being. Implications for policymakers emphasize the importance of equitable access to high-quality early education, curriculum development aligned with developmental milestones, and ongoing professional development for educators.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill that underpins academic success and lifelong learning. The SQ3R method, a structured approach that encompasses Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review, has long been recognized as a valuable tool for improving reading comprehension. This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the SQ3R method in enhancing students' reading comprehension abilities. Pre- and post-assessments of reading comprehension were conducted, and the results were analyzed to assess the impact of the SQ3R method. In addition to quantitative data, qualitative feedback from students was gathered to gain insights into their perceptions of the method. The study revealed a significant increase in reading comprehension scores among students who were exposed to the SQ3R method. The frequency of method usage was positively correlated with improved comprehension outcomes. Longitudinal data showed that the improvements were sustained over time, indicating the method's long-term impact. Students' qualitative feedback echoed the positive quantitative results, underlining increased engagement, a better understanding of complex texts, and improved critical thinking skills. The research findings have significant implications for educators, policymakers, and researchers. Educators are encouraged to incorporate the SQ3R method into teaching practices, promote consistent method usage, and monitor long-term progress. Policymakers are urged to support professional development for educators and ensure access to appropriate educational materials. Future researchers should explore diverse student populations, compare the SQ3R method with alternative strategies, and investigate its adaptability in online learning environments. The SQ3R method has proven to be not only effective but also a powerful asset in education. It equips students with skills and strategies that are essential for understanding and retaining textual content effectively, fostering not only academic success but also a lifelong love for learning.

Abstract

This comprehensive research delves into the analysis of the Inca Kingdom in Peru through the lens of archaeological findings, exploring its historical, cultural, and societal dimensions. The study encompasses a multidisciplinary approach, combining archaeological, historical, and anthropological methodologies to unravel the mysteries of this ancient civilization. The investigation begins by examining the rise, peak, and decline of the Inca civilization, detailing key historical events and developments. Archaeological discoveries at significant sites such as Machu Picchu, Sacsayhuaman, and Ollantaytambo shed light on the architectural achievements and urban planning sophistication of the Inca. These findings reveal their advanced engineering skills and urban organization, showcasing the societal, political, and religious complexities of the empire. The analysis further scrutinizes specific artifacts, structures, and their functions, offering insights into daily life, cultural practices, and technological advancements within the Inca society. Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate the impact of implementing a Website-based Blended Learning method in enhancing student creativity to support basic mathematics learning. The method used in this study employs the ADDIE development model with 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The resulting learning product underwent validity testing by experts and practicality assessment by students. The products created through student creativity were evaluated using a Paired-sample T-Test to determine whether they were flexible, novel, and elaborative in relation to technological advancements. Research results calculated using SPSS 23 show that the product's practicality score is 0.989, meaning the product is deemed suitable with a "very good" category. The learning model, in the form of a website-based Blended Learning model, proved to be valid and practical when tested based on learning indicators (face-to-face and online), learning materials, and learning media. Consequently, this model is effective in influencing the development of student creativity in studying basic mathematics

Abstract

Penelitian ini membicarakan tentang perlunya keberadaan asbabun nuzul dalam memahami ayat Al-Qur’an dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan studi kepustakaan, yang tujuan penilitian ini untuk menelaah pentingnya mengetahui sejarah latar belakang turunnya ayat Al-Qur’an agar dapat memberikan pemahaman yang tepat dan akurat ketika memahami dan menafsirkan makna suatu ayat. Adapun tujuannya adalah untuk mendapatkan kebanaran yang kuat dalam menafsirkan apa yang terdapat di dalam al-qur’an. Penelitian ini akan membahas pentingnya Asbabun Nuzul dalam menafsirkan Al-qur’an agar seseorang tidak salah dalam menafsirkan Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa Asbabun Nuzul mempunyai peran yang sangat penting dalam mendapatkan kebenaran saat menafsirkan al-qur’an, dimana untuk memahami sebuah kebenaran yang ada di dalam Al-Qur’an yaitu seorang mufassir membutuhkan alat bantu salah satunya yaitu dengan melihat peristiwa saat ayat tersebut diturunkan.

Abstract

Formal music education in college, especially for piano majors, has emphasized classical repertoire and profound solo playing techniques. However, previous graduate evaluations show that many have difficulty adjusting to the demands of the popular music industry, which demands more flexibility in piano accompaniment, improvisation, and harmony. This research aims to practice the piano accompaniment learning model in grade 3 of the current major. Action research is the methodology used, and a descriptive qualitative approach is needed using document analysis, observation, and interviews. The findings of this study are expected to help music education institutions better understand their students’ business demands and professional requirements after graduation.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of social media content on the understanding of Islam in Lentea Village, South Kaledupa District, Wakatobi Regency. Social media is the main means of spreading Islamic teachings in the digital era. With a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews with active social media users. The results of the study indicate that da'wah content on social media plays an important role in increasing the understanding of Islam, especially for the younger generation. In addition to forming religious attitudes and behavior, social media also faces challenges, such as the lack of quality content. The main inhibiting factor is the limited facilities and forums for religious activities. Therefore, synergy between the community, religious leaders, and the government is needed to provide adequate facilities. The use of social media as a da'wah medium also needs to be continuously developed so that it has a wider impact in increasing the understanding of Islam and shaping the character of the younger generation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Muhasabah An-Nafs method in increasing students' spiritual awareness in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Baubau. Amidst the challenges of modernization that can erode spiritual values, the Muhasabah An-Nafs method is applied as a self-reflection strategy to help students evaluate their actions, understand religious teachings better, and strengthen their relationship with Allah SWT. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results showed that the majority of students who followed this method experienced an increase in spiritual awareness and positive changes in daily behavior. Students felt more able to control their lusts, were more disciplined in worship, and better understood the essence of Islamic teachings. In addition, the role of teachers in guiding students and the use of creative media such as inspirational videos and group discussions have been shown to increase the effectiveness of this method. The conclusion of this study confirms that Muhasabah An-Nafs is an effective method in shaping students' spiritual character. For more optimal results, it is recommended that self-reflection be made a routine habit in the learning process. With consistent support from educators and schools, this method can become an integral part of building students' spiritual and moral awareness in the educational environment.
