Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this assistance is to form the Akhlakul Karimah of students at the Miftahul Istiqomah Islamic boarding school through learning the yellow book about taisirul khalaq. Akhlakul Karimah assistance through studying the yellow book Taisirul Khalaq is an assistance carried out to provide an understanding of morals to students. This is done because the degradation of manners and morals experienced by the young generation of Muslims is currently increasingly worrying. Islamic boarding schools play a very important role in developing morals for students. Even though Islamic boarding schools have done their best in developing the morals of their students, there are still many students whose morals are not good, which is why this assistance is provided. Mentoring is carried out using the halaqah method, a method often used in Islamic boarding schools, namely students will learn by sitting around the teacher and listening together to what the teacher is saying. The results of this mentoring help students who are not yet very familiar with the parts of morals to become aware of morals and be able to practice them in their daily lives. From this assistance, they are also more enthusiastic about living their lives because they are taught to always be grateful and accept their fate or circumstances. Even though there are several obstacles in this assistance, such as limited time, the students remain enthusiastic so they can maximize their time efficiently.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the effect of small group discussion teaching method to the reading comprehension of grade eight students of SMP Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar. This research uses quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research methodology. Creswell (2012:27),explains that "quasi-experimental includes giving tasks, but not assigning participants to groups". This research used quantitative research quasi-experimental method. The data from this study where collected and obtained through tests. The sample this research the VIII -6 as the experimental class and the VIII-9 as the control class .the test was carried out with pre-test and post-test to students using small group discussion teaching method.The research data and result findings of calculation, the research found the mean score in experimental class from pre-test to post-test are 70.40 and 82.40. than score in control class from pre-test and post-test are 70.53 and 76.73. the statistical hypothesis testing findings sample t-test are indicated ,at a level of significance of 5% (=0,05), that the t -test was 3,04 whereas t-table was 1.671 , or t-test> t-table .it can be concluded that the value of t-test was higher than the value of t-table .therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected .so, its mean that there is a significant effect of use small group discussion teaching method to the reading comprehension of grade eight students of SMP Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar

Abstract

The goal of this research is to ascertain the effect of using animated video on the listening comprehension of Grade IX students at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar in the 2022/2023. Quantitative research approach is used in this research design. This type of research is a Quasi Experiment with a two-group static design. The dependent variable is the students' listening comprehension narrative text in monologue form as a learning material and the independent variable is the use of Animated video. The research subjects were grade IX at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar in the 2022/2023 academic year. The object of this research is the effect of animated video on the listening comprehension. The instruments used in this research were tests, pre-test and post-test. After the data has been collected, data analysis is carried out by comparing the results of the mean. The results showed that the mean of experimental group in pre-test is 60.3 and in post-test is 84.5 while the mean of control group in pre-test 53.2 and in post-test is 73.5. It showed that the score of the experimental group was higher than control group. The result of the t-test formula analysis showed that the value of t-test was higher than that of t-table, The t-test score (2.7)> t-table demonstrated this (1.671). As a consequence, the Null Hypothesis (HO) was disproved and the Alternate Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It is concluded that using animated video as media learning significantly affects listening comprehension of grade IX students at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar as a media learning than using recording audio.

Abstract

This research is concerned in analyzing of figurative language in the speech of President Jokowi in G20 Summit 2022 in the opening part of the speech. In this research, problems arise regarded the types and meaning of figurative language and the most dominant type of figurative language in the speech of President Jokowi in G20 Summit 2022. This research used the figurative language based in Perrine’s theory perception (1977:61). Figurative language consist of 12 kinds, there are; simile, metaphor, personification, apostrophe, synecdoche, metonymy, symbol, allegory, paradox, hyperbole/overstatement, understatement and irony. The methodology used in this research is qualitative research and this research used the content method. Document or content analysis is a research method applied to written or visual material with the aim of identifying certain characteristics of that material. The data in this research is speech of President Jokowi in G20 Summit 2022. After investigated the types of figurative language in the speech of President Jokowi in G20 Summit 2022, researcher found total of 15 sentences contained figurative language in the speech of President Jokowi. There are 5 types of figurative language used in the speech of President Jokowi from the 12 types of figurative language proposed by Perrine (1977:61). There are five types of figurative language found in President Jokowi's speech, namely: synecdoche: 5 data, metonymy: 3 data, paradox: 3 data, metaphor: 2 data, and irony: 2 data. The most dominant types of figurative language in the speech of President Jokowi in G20 Summit 2022 are synecdoche which represents were synecdoche 34%, metonymy 20%, paradox 20%, metaphor 13%, irony 13%. It can be concluded that President Jokowi's speech contains wise sentences and explains the essence of what he wants to convey to the audience, so that the audience is interested in listening and understanding the contents of the speech.

Abstract

This research was carried out to find whether or not the effectiveness of pictures on students’understanding of regular and irregular nouns at grade seven of SMP Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar. The research methodology used in this research was a quasi-experimental design. there were two classes taken as the sample of this research, class VII-6 as the experimental class and class VII-5 as the control class. The research was collected by administering pre-test and post-test. The research findings showed that there was significant effectiveness by using pictures in teaching regular and irregular nouns of students’ achievement in writing. It can be seen from the testing hypothesis, it showed that the ttest value (4,02) was higher than the ttable value (1,92) at level of significance 5% with degree of freedom (df) was 58. This were by the score of post-test score in experimental class was 75,50 was higher than the average post-test score in control class which was 68,66. The research can be concluded that using pictures on students’ understanding regular and irregular nouns is very effective for students’ achievement in writing at seventh grade of SMP Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar.

Abstract

Religious figures are people who carry out da'wah, both verbally and in writing, or do good deeds individually and in groups. Religious figures play a very important role in inviting teenagers to take part in da'wah activities. Teenagers will get used to praying, listening to religious lectures, and carrying out other religious activities which will have a positive influence on the teenagers themselves. In Talang Benih Curup Village, it is known that the number of teenagers in Talang Benih Curup Village is 3,523 boys, 3,475 girls. Where the morals of teenagers are generally quite good, but there are some teenagers who have less good morals, such as doing glue. This research aims to find out the role of religious figures in developing morals among teenagers in Talang Benih Curup Village, as well as what obstacles are faced by religious figures in carrying out da'wah activities in Talang Benih Curup Village. The research method uses qualitative descriptive research. This research uses two data sources, namely primary data and secondary data. In collecting research data using interview, observation and documentation methods so that the data obtained is reduced and then analyzed and conclusions drawn. The results of the research show that the role of religious figures in fostering the morals of teenagers in Talang Benih Curup Village is by first forming a forum for da'wah activities such as the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPA), forming the Youth Islamic Mosque (RISMA) and the Taklim Council. Second, carrying out da'wah activities in the form of recitations, morning lectures, and commemoration of Islamic holidays (PHBI), and third is providing da'wah material about morals, in addition to the material faced by Religious Figures in carrying out da'wah activities, namely the busyness of Religious Figures who also act as civil servants. (PNS) or other jobs, lack of cooperation from parents, lack of motivation from teenagers themselves to take part in da'wah activities, as well as the influence of technological developments, especially the internet. And the solution in developing adolescent morals is to form good youth cadres, Mosques and Langgars must be driven by the younger generation and the role of parents in providing good examples and motivation to teenagers in participating in da'wah activities.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the difficulties of IAIN Curup's 4th semester Islamic religious education study program students in memorizing the Koran due to several different factors. This research aims to find out what difficulties students have in memorizing the Koran and what efforts are made to overcome these difficulties. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data type: observation and interviews and data sources are students and teachers. The stages of data analysis techniques are: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Stages of data wetness: source triangulation and data triangulation. The results of the research show that (1) The difficulty of IAIN Curup's 4th semester Islamic religious education study program students in memorizing the Qur'an comes from two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. The internal factors are students' lazy attitude, errors in memorizing methods, and still not reading the Koran fluently. Meanwhile, the external factors are the bad influence of cellphones and the students' different backgrounds. (2) Efforts to overcome the difficulties of memorizing the Qur'an from students themselves are by regularly reciting the Koran, murajaah and managing time and motivating themselves to be better at memorizing. Meanwhile, the teacher's efforts are made by providing value that is equivalent to the student's effort in memorizing and always motivating students that memorizing is not only for achieving grades in lectures but also for getting rewards from Allah SWT.

Abstract

This research was carried out to determine whether or not there were negative or positive characteristics of students regarding the omission of the national exam at Vocational High School of Teladan Pematang Siantar. The research methodology used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. There was only 1 class used as a sample for this research, namely class XI RPL 2. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Research findings show that there are positive characteristics of using questionnaires towards the omission of national exams. It can be seen that the result is 85, where this result is on a positive scale. This is based on a questionnaire in the RPL 2 class which shows that students' opinions are positive regarding the omission of national examination.

Abstract

This type of research is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive data analysis approach with the testing media used is SPSS 21. The population in this study was 75 people, and the sample used was 75 people. The sample collection technique used was the total sample. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The hypothesis data collection technique uses multiple regression analysis and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this research state that: 1) there is a positive influence of teacher personality competence on student learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the t test where the t value of teacher personality competence (3.108) > t table value (1.993). 2) there is no positive and significant influence of student motivation on student learning outcomes, this result can be seen in the t test where the t value of student learning interest (0.006) > t table value (1.993) which means this variable is not significant. 3) teacher personality competence and learning motivation together influence student learning outcomes, these results can be seen in the F test where the Fcount value (11.125) > Ftable value (3.12). The R square coefficient of determination test was found to be 0.236, which means that 23.6% of the variables of teacher personality competence and student motivation on student learning outcomes are on the learning outcomes of class 9 students at the exemplary private junior high school in Pematang Siantar, and 76.4% is the influence of other variables that are not examined in this research.

Abstract

To find out the implementation of the Murajaah Juz 30 Program at SDIT Semarak Rejang Lebong, to find out the improvement of students' memorization and morals through the implementation of the Murajaah Juz 30 Program at SDIT Semarak Rejang Lebong. In this study using, qualitative research by means of a description approach. This research uses a type of field research method (field research). The research subjects were school principals, teachers who manage the honesty canteen, and SDIT Semarak students. Based on the analogy of a snowball, which starts with a small snowball and then swells gradually because there is an accumulation of snow when it is rolled over the snow. It starts with a number of people or problems, then expands to the relationship with the respondent. This research is qualitative with a theological approach. The data source in this study is the subject where the data is obtained. In this study, researchers used two types of data sources, namely primary data and secondary data. Collecting data in accordance with the objectives of the researcher, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used by researchers in this study was carried out through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, data verification/drawing conclusions. By implementing the murajaah juz 30 program at SDIT Semarak Rejang Lebong, it has improved the quality of students' memorization and morals, both in behavior in the school environment and the environment where they live. Supporting factors in implementing the murajaah juz 30 program at SDIT Semarak Rejang Lebong are human resources, infrastructure and students. The inhibiting factor in murajaah juz 30 is that there are still many students who have not focused on activities, especially lower grade students, and there is no juz amma book to hold students' handbook for memorizing at home.
