Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of volleyball underhand passing by applying the STAD learning model to Grade IV Students of SDN Sidomulyo, Semen District. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study was conducted in two cycles, consisting of four stages in each cycle consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were Grade IV Students of SDN Sidomulyo, Semen District, totaling 24 students consisting of 13 male students and 11 female students. Data collection techniques were tests and observations. The results of data analysis in cycle I showed that student learning outcomes increased, the learning outcomes of volleyball underhand passing were 23 students (96%) who successfully achieved the KKM in the knowledge aspect. In Cycle I of learning volleyball underhand passing in the social and spiritual attitude aspect, there were 2 students (8%) who received the Very Good category, 19 students (79%) received the Good category, and 3 students (13%) received the Sufficient category. In Cycle I of volleyball underhand passing learning, the aspect of volleyball underhand passing skills, there were 9 students (38%) who successfully achieved KKM and 15 students (62%) who had not achieved KKM. In Cycle II, learning outcomes increased again compared to Cycle I in volleyball underhand passing learning, there were 24 students (100%) who successfully achieved KKM in the knowledge aspect. In Cycle II of volleyball underhand passing learning, the aspect of social and spiritual attitudes, there were 5 students (12%) who received the Very Good (A)category, there were 19 students (88%) who received the Good (B) category. In Cycle II of volleyball underhand passing learning, the aspect of volleyball underhand passing skills, there were 19 students (88%) who successfully achieved KKM and 4 students (12%) who had not achieved KKM. Based on the data analysis that has been carried out and described in CHAPTER IV, it can be concluded that the application of the STAD learning model in learning can improve volleyball underhand passing learning outcomes in Grade IV Students of SDN Sidomulyo, Semen District.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan membandingkan perbedaan makna gestur jempol antara budaya Amerika Serikat dan Iran. Gestur non-verbal, seperti jempol, seringkali dianggap universal, namun kenyataannya dapat memiliki konotasi yang sangat berbeda antar budaya, berpotensi menyebabkan kesalahpahaman dalam komunikasi lintas budaya. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji akar historis dan sosiokultural dari makna gestur jempol di kedua negara, menyoroti implikasi praktis bagi individu yang berinteraksi dalam konteks lintas budaya. Melalui tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif, artikel ini akan menganalisis bagaimana gestur yang sama dapat diterima sebagai tanda persetujuan atau pujian di satu budaya, sementara dianggap sebagai penghinaan serius di budaya lain. Pemahaman yang mendalam tentang nuansa-nuansa ini sangat penting untuk memupuk komunikasi yang efektif dan menghindari konflik yang tidak disengaja. Fokus pada Amerika Serikat dan Iran menawarkan studi kasus yang menarik karena perbedaan budaya yang signifikan, yang seringkali tercermin dalam komunikasi non-verbal. Penelitian ini juga akan membahas bagaimana globalisasi dan interaksi budaya yang meningkat menuntut kesadaran yang lebih besar terhadap perbedaan-perbedaan ini. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan berharga bagi diplomat, pelancong, pelaku bisnis, dan siapa pun yang terlibat dalam interaksi lintas budaya, mempromosikan pemahaman yang lebih baik dan interaksi yang lebih harmonis antar individu dan bangsa. Abstract

One of the main challenges in education today is the limited flexibility of learning time and access to quality and structured learning materials. This encourages the need for learning media that is able to answer the needs of independent and globally oriented learning. Coursera, as one of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platforms, offers solutions through various courses that can be accessed digitally by anyone at any time. This article is a literature review that aims to examine the effectiveness of Coursera as a digital learning media and identify challenges in its implementation. The review is conducted by analyzing a number of scientific articles and relevant sources published between 2018 and 2024. The study results show that Coursera is effective in providing quality materials, increasing motivation for self-learning, and supporting learning flexibility. However, some challenges remain, such as limited foreign language skills, the need for digital devices, and the lack of in-person mentoring support. This article recommends the need for local content integration, training on digital platform utilization, and mentoring strategies so that Coursera can be optimally used in learning.

Abstract

Education is a process to develop students' potential, where obedience is important in character building. In SMK Negeri 3 Jombang, violations often occur, such as lateness and absence. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers play a role in fostering student obedience through religious values ​​and counseling. Collaboration between the two is essential for effective coaching. This study has three objectives: 1) To compile and analyze the collaboration between PAI teachers and BK teachers. 2) To analyze the level of obedience of class X students. 3) To analyze the elements that support and hinder the synergy of PAI and BK teachers in maintaining student obedience.This study uses a qualitative and descriptive approach, with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation from the principal, teachers, and students. The findings show that the synergy between PAI and BK teachers is important in shaping obedience, despite the challenges faced by class X students.

Abstract

The low level of religious literacy among students poses a challenge in Islamic education, particularly in shaping religious character. Islamic Education teachers play an important role in instilling values and guiding students to comprehensively understand and practice the teachings of Islam. This study aims to examine the role and strategies of Islamic Education teachers in enhancing students' religious literacy at SMP Takhassus Al-Qur'an Kalibeber, Wonosobo. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that teachers function as educators, guides, facilitators, and role models. The main strategies implemented include reading the classical book Al-Ibriz every morning, habituation of worship, contextual learning, and the implementation of as well as the utilization of school libraries. Supporting factors include the religious culture in schools and pesantren programs, while inhibiting factors include the limited reading materials and the low interest in reading among students.

Abstract

Lack of interest in reading, limited vocabulary, and low confidence in reading Arabic texts are the background of this study. Reading skills are an important aspect of Arabic language learning that requires mastery of pronunciation, vocabulary, and text comprehension. The “Talking Stick” method is a game-based strategy involving a relay stick that is given alternately to students as music is played. The student holding the stick when the music stops must read a designated section of text. This study examines: (1) the application of this method in reading learning, (2) the improvement of reading ability of grade XII students after the application of this method, and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors. The approach used was descriptive qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that this method improved students' focus, readiness, and participation in reading. Students' reading skills improved, characterized by courage and clarity of pronunciation. Supporting factors include teacher readiness, conducive classroom atmosphere, and student enthusiasm, while the main obstacles are differences in reading ability and time constraints. This research contributes to the development of Arabic learning strategies that are more interesting and in accordance with the needs of learners

Abstract

This study examines the Waja tradition practiced in the Ngada community, particularly in Aimere Timur Village, Aimere District, Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Waja is a form of customary sanction used to resolve conflicts in relationships between men and women, especially in cases of marriage and engagement. Its purpose is to deter violations of customary norms and maintain social balance. However, its implementation often raises new problems, especially for women, who are frequently the most affected party. This qualitative research employs an ethnographic approach, with data collected through observations and in-depth interviews. The findings show that although Waja is perceived as a traditional form of protection for women, in practice, women continue to face social and economic disadvantages, bearing greater responsibilities. From both Islamic and national legal perspectives, Waja does not fully align with principles of justice and women’s rights protection. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate this customary practice to ensure it respects local cultural values while also upholding the dignity and rights of women.

Abstract

Because of the values of punctuality, togetherness, and obedience to religious rules, congregational Dhuha prayer is considered one of the best ways to build a disciplined character. This thesis aims to: 1) Understand how the implementation of congregational Dhuha prayer by students of MTs N 1 Wonosobo; 2) Understand the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in internalizing the values of discipline through the congregational Dhuha prayer of students at MTs N 1 Wonosobo; 3) Identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers to internalize the values of discipline through the congregational Dhuha prayer of students at MTs N 1 Wonosobo. This thesis uses a qualitative research approach, where the type of research is descriptive. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation methods. Then, the data sources were obtained through several informants, namely the principal, PAI teachers, and 30 eighth-grade academic students. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The research results show that 1) the implementation of congregational Dhuha prayers at MTs N 1 Wonosobo is carried out regularly with a rotating schedule among classes, aimed at addressing the limitations of facilities and the large number of students. This activity not only serves as an act of worship but also as a medium for teaching discipline and character building in students in accordance with the madrasah's vision. 2) The efforts of PAI teachers in internalizing the values of discipline through congregational dhuha prayers are systematic and structured, involving the active role of teachers as role models and guides, and supported by good communication with parents and school staff. 3) The supporting factors for the success of this program include adequate worship facilities, regular schedule arrangements, and a religious school environment. However, there are hindering factors such as low student motivation, minimal family support, limited facilities, and a lack of student understanding regarding the importance of congregational dhuha prayers. Therefore, further efforts are needed to overcome these obstacles so that the value of discipline can be optimally instilled in the students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh temuan bahwa dalam implementasi sistem informasi desa dalam meningkatkan transparansi dan aksesibilitas data publik di Desa Sinartanjung Kota Banjar belum berjalan secara optimal dikarenakan anggaran yang masih belum memadai, kekurangan sumber daya manusia serta untuk saat ini desa sinartanjung memiliki prioritas utama pada pembangunan desa. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana implementasi sistem informasi desa dalam meningkatkan transparansi dan aksesibilitas data publik di Desa Sinartanjung Kota Banjar?. Terdapat sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 orang informan. Metode penelitian ini deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan verification. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan ini menunjukkan bahwasanya pada implementasi sistem informasi desa dalam meningkatkan transparansi dan aksesibilitas data publik di Desa Sinartanjung Kota Banjar belum optimal, dikarenakan terdapat hambatan seperti keterbatasan anggaran kekurangan sumber daya manusia serta pemerintah Desa Sinartanjung untuk saat ini lebih fokus pada infrastruktur seperti perbaikan jalan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat, upaya untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut yaitu Pemerintah Desa Sinartanjung untuk sumber daya manusia para staf desa kini merangkap jabatan, sedangkan untuk keterbatasan anggaran pemerintah Desa Sinartanjung belum ada upaya khusus untuk mengatasinya dikarenakan pemerintah Desa Sinartanjung kini hanya terfokus pada infrastruktur dan pemberdayaan masyarakat.

Abstract

Currently the industrial world has entered into a digital era where companies must adapt all their activities to digital technology, one of which is to create a company data system with good governance and adhere to the principle of transparency in data as well as the value of accountability in the data owned. Information and Communication Technology is very important in reviewing data to ensure that the data owned by the company is well systematized and directed to achieve one company goal. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method where this method was chosen to explore in depth the basic concepts of data governance systems in the digitalization era through narrative and interpretative analysis of relevant literature and documents. In addition, the data obtained in this study were obtained from the results of data collection which included scientific journals, books, and policy reports that discussed topics related to data governance and digital transformation. So that the data to be analyzed can provide an overview of the main principles, challenges, and opportunities related to the implementation of digital governance in an organizational or corporate environment. The implementation of a data governance system in the digitalization era is a strategic step that must be taken by every organization or company to ensure the accuracy, security, and consistency of its data. Therefore, the application of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) is very important in supporting the process of automatic data classification, detecting anomalies, and providing insight for strategic decision making. The digital era poses great challenges regarding the protection of personal data, especially with increasing regulations such as the Personal Data Protection Act (PDP) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that require organizations to take responsibility for the data they manage. Therefore, the growing digitalization must be balanced with the implementation of strong data governance principles so that every data-based managerial process can run in an accountable and standardized manner
