Abstract

Intercultural communication is becoming increasingly important in this era of globalization, where interactions between individuals and groups from different cultural backgrounds are increasingly common. This article will review various theories and concepts related to intercultural communication, identify factors that influence its effectiveness, and analyze how effective communication can contribute to improving understanding and minimizing miscommunication. In addition, this article will also discuss the challenges that may arise in intercultural communication and strategies to overcome them. Through literature studies and analysis of previous studies, this article is expected to provide comprehensive insights into the crucial role of intercultural communication in building harmonious and productive relationships amidst cultural diversity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana Implementasi Peraturan Daerah Nomor 5 Tahun 2009 Tentang Larangan Pelacuran oleh Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja di Kota Banjar. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi hambatan yang dihadapi serta upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kebijakan berjalan cukup baik, ditandai dengan menurunnya praktik pelacuran di Kota Banjar. Namun, masih terdapat hambatan seperti kurangnya fasilitas pendukung dan rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap norma sosial dan hukum. Untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut, dilakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat dan perbaikan sarana pendukung. Diharapkan langkah ini dapat meningkatkan efektivitas kebijakan dan menjaga ketertiban sosial di Kota Banjar.

Abstract

Learning biology is closely related to everyday life, so students need reasoning and conceptual understanding to solve biology problems. Students often struggle to understand biological concepts due to the extensive material and difficult Latin terms. The purpose of this research is to analyze the difficulty of students' ability to understand biological concepts on cell material by grouping students based on learning styles. This study uses a qualitative case study design. Six students from class XI IPA A were selected as subjects: two with visual learning styles, two with auditory learning styles, and two with kinesthetic learning styles. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, tests, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative analysis using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model involved data collection, condensation, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Students' difficulties in understanding biology concepts differentiated by learning style yielded significant results. However, differences in conceptual understanding among subjects were not uniform even though they had been categorized based on learning style. It can therefore be concluded that differences in conceptual understanding cannot be viewed solely in terms of learning style, but also in terms of other key factors such as intelligence, student focus in class, willingness to learn, and so on.

Abstract

This study looks at how the anime My Hero Academia shows individualistic and collectivistic values through the characters Deku and Bakugo, and how people online understand these values. The study uses existing research and a descriptive way of looking at things. The information used comes from scenes in the anime and comments from users on X and Quora. The study found that Deku shows collectivist values like caring for others and working together, while Bakugo shows individualism through being competitive and wanting to be in charge. People online have different reactions: some like Bakugo for being real, while others don't like that he is aggressive. Many people like Deku because he cares about others. In the end, the characters in the anime show cultural values that people understand in different ways based on their own experiences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pemerintah desa belum optimal berperan dalam melestarikan Budaya Rarakaan sebagai Kearifan Lokal di Desa Sukaharja Kecamatan Rajadesa Kabupaten Ciamis. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Peran Pemerintah Desa Dalam Melestarikan Budaya Rarakaan Sebagai Kearifan Lokal di Desa Sukaharja Kecamatan Rajadesa Kabupaten Ciamis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis. Informan sebanyak 8 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah studi kepustakaan, studi lapangan (observasi dan wawancara) dan dokumentasi. Penulis mengunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif melalui pengolahan data hasil wawancara dan observasi untuk ditarik kesimpulan sehingga dapat menjawab permasalahan dalam penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa Pemerintah Desa telah berperan dalam Melestarikan Budaya Rarakaan Sebagai Kearifan Lokal di Desa Sukaharja Kecamatan Rajadesa Kabupaten Ciamis walaupun belum optimal karena adanya hambatan keterbatasan anggaran, kurangnya kesadaran generasi muda, keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, serta pengaruh modernisasi yang mempengaruhi minat masyarakat terhadap budaya lokal. Oleh karena itu diupayakan dengan mengalokasikan anggaran dari APBDes untuk kegiatan pelestarian budaya rarakaan, menggerakkan masyarakat untuk aktif dalam kegiatan budaya dan menyediakan fasilitas dan infrastruktur yang diperlukan untuk mendukung pelaksanaan kegiatan budaya.

Abstract

Hair cutting using the graduation technique is an essential aspect in the professional world of hairdressing. This technique requires a high level of precision, a deep understanding of the structure of the head, the direction of hair growth, and skills in adjusting the cutting angle to create a natural and proportional hair length transition. This article aims to analyze the extent of mastery of graduated hair cutting skills among professional hairstylists and identify factors that influence the effectiveness of mastery of these techniques. In this research, a qualitative study method was used with a case study approach in several professional salons and beauty training institutions. The results of the analysis show that mastery of the graduation technique is greatly influenced by the quality of technical training, work experience, use of appropriate tools, and the ability to interpret the cut design according to the client's needs. This article emphasizes the importance of ongoing training and updating technical competencies as key to maintaining high standards of service in the professional hairdressing industry.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the relationship between psycholinguistics in language acquisition and learning through a conceptual qualitative approach based on literature review. The discussion explores how cognitive, neurological, and affective aspects within psycholinguistics contribute to the processes of first and second language acquisition, and how these insights inform language teaching strategies in educational settings. Rather than focusing on empirical data or specific field sites, this study synthesizes and systematically analyzes findings and theoretical developments from recent scholarly literature in psycholinguistics and language education. The method employed is a theoretical content analysis of reputable academic sources. The findings highlight a strong interconnection between brain mechanisms, mental processes, and social input in the language acquisition process. Moreover, integrating theories of language acquisition and language learning strengthens pedagogical approaches that are responsive to learners’ individual needs. This article contributes conceptually to the interdisciplinary understanding among linguistics, psychology, and education, and offers a foundation for future empirical studies that may apply these theoretical insights in practical contexts.

Abstract

The family is the earliest and most important institution in a person's life. The role of the family is very important in shaping character and influencing children's development. The family has a responsibility to provide education to their children. In the family environment, children learn about the values, norms, and behaviors accepted in society. Parents act as the main models/role models in shaping children's character, teaching them about the world, helping them learn to read, write, and develop other knowledge and skills. By providing good education, families encourage children's growth and development in various aspects of life. Emotional and psychological support is important for children's development. When children feel loved, accepted, and supported by their families, they feel safe and confident. Adequate attention and affection help children develop positive self-esteem and overcome challenges in life. In a harmonious family environment, children feel comfortable sharing their feelings.

Abstract

This study examines the exegetical methodology and interpretive patterns of the Khawarij, a sect that emerged from political and theological conflicts following the arbitration between Ali ibn Abi Talib and Mu’awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan. The background of this research lies in the need to understand how early extremist groups such as the Khawarij interpreted the Qur’an in a literal and textual manner, and how these interpretations impacted religious and socio-political practices. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using library research methods, gathering data from classical tafsir works, Islamic historical literature, and contemporary academic journals discussing the Khawarij. The study compares Khawarij exegesis with the mainstream Sunni tradition, which emphasizes contextual and inclusive interpretations. The findings reveal that Khawarij interpretation falls into three main categories: fiqhi (legal), ideological, and socio-political, all rooted in a rigid understanding of Qur’anic texts without considering the asbab al-nuzul (occasions of revelation) or maqasid al-shariah (objectives of Islamic law). Among Khawarij factions, Ibadhiyah represents the most moderate strand and still exists today. The study concludes that although Khawarij interpretation holds historical significance, it has had limited influence on contemporary Qur’anic studies due to its rigid and exclusionary hermeneutical framework.

Abstract

This thesis explores the essence of the Virtue of Knowledge and Ulama as reflected from the Hadith perspective, especially in the Shohih Bukhori Book No. Hadith 100, and comprehensively reviews its relevance in Gen-Z education. This research summarizes the essence of the values embedded in the Hadith text to explore the deep meaning of the primacy of science and ulama in education. The research method used is maudlu'i with a qualitative approach, which allows in-depth analysis of the context and implications of the Priority of Science and Ulama perspective on hadith. Shohih Bukhori Hadith No. 100 was chosen as the main focus because this hadith provides a strong foundation for the principles of learning, and the importance of the primacy of knowledge and scholars in education.The research results show that the Koran is not only a source of religious teachings, but also offers views on human diversity and the values that must be instilled in education. The priority of science and scholars in education inspired by Hadith requires a learning approach that focuses on respect for educators, religion and the values that exist in society. This research provides in-depth insight into the application of the priority of science and scholars in education in the context of Islamic education. This includes curriculum development, learning methods that focus on respect for educators, as well as the formation of attitudes and skills for students. This thesis contributes significantly to understanding the importance of science education in Islam and provides practical guidance for developing education according to the teachings of the Koran
