Abstract

This research is motivated by the need to improve the effectiveness of learning, considering that there are still many teachers who in teaching and learning activities use learning media that can be further developed to be more interactive and interesting, such as handouts and PowerPoint. The purpose of this research is to: 1) determine the feasibility of Canva application-based video tutorials on the basic competencies of making digital gamis in class XII students of the Fashion Management Department of SMKN 2 Jombang, 2) determine the response of students to the development of Canva application-based video tutorials on the basic competencies of making digital gamis patterns in Class XII students of the Fashion Management Department of SMKN 2 Jombang, 3) determine the learning outcomes of Class XII students of the Fashion Management Department of SMKN 2 Jombang who use Canva application-based learning media on the basic competencies of making digital gamis patterns. In addition, the response of students showed a percentage of 84%. The results showed that the Canva application-based learning media met the validity criteria based on the assessment of material experts, media experts and linguists. Based on the trial use of the media in learning, students show high interest in learning and easily understand the material provided. The conclusion of this study is that learning media based on the canva application can improve students` understanding so that they do not experience difficulties in practicum learning.

Abstract

The implementation of effective classroom instruction requires the use of appropriate teaching methods, as each method is designed to address specific learning problems. Selecting an instructional method that aligns with the challenges faced during the learning process is a crucial factor in optimizing student learning outcomes. This study aims to: 1.) Describe the outcomes of basic pattern-making among Grade X DPB students using the demonstration method; 2) Describe the outcomes of basic pattern-making among Grade X DPB students using the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) method; and 3) Analyze the effectiveness of the STAD method in facilitating the learning of basic pattern-making in Grade X DPB. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of all Grade X DPB students at SMKN 1 Jatirejo. Data were collected through psychomotor performance tests, and data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and an independent samples t-test. The findings were derived from hypothesis testing, which revealed a p-value of less than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two instructional methods. The average score obtained by students in the demonstration group was 66.69, while the average score in the STAD group was 81.64. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the STAD method is more effective than the demonstration method in addressing the challenges encountered in the teaching and learning of basic pattern-making.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out (1) the process of making wrapped trouser product prototypes as  a training medium (2) the finished results of making wrapped trouser product prototypes  as training media. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) development research with PPE (Planning, Production, and Evaluation) development model. The method of collecting data from the process of prototyping  wrapped trouser products as a training medium  uses observation, while for the finished results of prototyping wrapped trouser products  as a training medium using questionnaires from fashion experts. The results of this study show (1) the process of prototyping wrapped trouser products as a training medium, namely researching, making patterns, cutting toal materials, sewing toal, cutting main materials, sewing main materials (2) the results of prototyping wrapped trouser products  as training media, which is used for archives for industrial sites, and becoming a prototype for formal or non-formal training.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of two Islamic financing schemes, murabahah and mudharabah, on the financial stability of Islamic banks listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) during the 2019–2023 period. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a Partial Least Squares (PLS) method via SmartPLS version 4. Data were collected from the financial reports of three major Islamic banks: Bank Syariah Indonesia (BRIS), Bank BTPN Syariah (BTPS), and Bank Panin Dubai Syariah (PNBS). Financial stability indicators were measured using Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), and operational efficiency ratio (BOPO). The results reveal that both murabahah and mudharabah financing schemes significantly and positively affect CAR, NPF, and BOPO. Murabahah financing shows a stronger impact compared to mudharabah in strengthening capital, reducing financing risk, and improving operational efficiency. These findings suggest that optimizing the use of both financing schemes, especially murabahah, contributes to enhancing the financial stability of Islamic banks.

Abstract

This study aims to examine strategies for strengthening the sharia economy through the management of productive waqf in Bengkalis Regency. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the management of productive waqf in Bengkalis still faces challenges, particularly in the capacity of nazhir (waqf managers), low public literacy regarding waqf, and the suboptimal utilization of natural resources and digital technology. These results align with previous studies emphasizing the importance of nazhir development and increased waqf literacy for effective productive waqf management. The research also identified a gap in the integration of natural resource utilization, digital technology, and capacity-building for nazhirs. Therefore, an integrated strategy is needed, involving institutional capacity strengthening, waqf literacy improvement, and the application of technology to support the sustainability of productive waqf, which contributes to the strengthening of the sharia economy and sustainable development. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the development of waqf policies in similar regions.

Abstract

Kaizen, a Japanese philosophy meaning "continuous improvement," has become a foundational management approach worldwide, underpinning sustainable business success. This article explores the significance of Kaizen principles in diverse organizational settings by analyzing its historical origins, core tenets, and measurable impacts on productivity, waste reduction, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. Utilizing a comprehensive literature review methodology, this study synthesizes empirical data and case studies across manufacturing, healthcare, and service industries. Findings confirm that organizations embedding Kaizen into their culture achieve superior operational efficiency, innovation capacity, and competitive advantage. The discussion addresses challenges, cultural considerations, and implementation strategies, concluding with evidence-based recommendations to maximize Kaizen's organizational value. This detailed study contributes a vital resource for future research and practical application of continuous improvement methodologies.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of work discipline on employee performance at the Regional Planning, Research, and Development Agency (BAPPPEDA) of Gorontalo Province. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to employees at the Regional Planning, Research, and Development Agency (BAPPEDA) office. The data were analyzed using quantitative methods. The study results showed that work discipline significantly and positively influenced employee performance, with a coefficient of determination of 42.1%. This indicates that work discipline significantly influences employee performance by 42.1%, while the remaining 57.9% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, future studies should consider adding other independent variables that are not included in this study.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Bungo Regency in handling criminal offenses in the 2024 Bungo Regent and Deputy Regent elections. This study uses an empirical juridical method with a case study approach to analyze the phenomena during the election process. The results show that Bawaslu maintains election integrity through prevention, supervision, and coordination with the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu). However, Bawaslu faces various obstacles such as limited human resources, budget, infrastructure, geographical complexity, and low public legal awareness. Other obstacles also arise from multi-interpretable regulatory aspects and limited time to handle violations. The Revote (PSU) case at 21 polling stations (TPS) in Bungo Regency is clear evidence of the importance of adequate supervision so that the democratic process runs honestly, fairly, and transparently. This study emphasizes the need to optimize prevention strategies, utilize technology, strengthen human resource capacity, and increase public participation so that Bawaslu's role is more effective in creating quality and dignified elections.

Abstract

Transformational leadership is comprised of four dimensions named idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, inspirational motivation, and individualized consideration. To this end, the purpose of this study was to explore transformational leadership behavior in higher education with focus on Al-Gezira University. Therefore, this study followed survey research design. 332 participants were taken through stratified random sampling techniques. Data was collected from teachers using closed ended questionnaire. To analyze data, mean scores, and one sample t-test was used. The study found that idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration were practiced at Gezira University. The findings confirmed that Gezira University demonstrated transformational leadership behavior. The study recommended a Gezira University should organize training program, courses and workshops to equip staff members with leadership skills and competencies that enhance the practices of transformational leadership.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to determine the process of applying the ostrich feather application technique to party dresses (2) to determine the results of applying the ostrich feather application technique to party dresses. In this study the method used is the creation of works consisting of four stages: pre-design, design, embodiment and presentation. The results of this study are the process of applying the ostrich feather application technique to party dresses. Starting from making designs according to the source of ideas obtained directly based on research and observations on the spot. The process of applying the ostrich feather application technique begins with placing ostrich feathers on the slits of the skirt and bra cups, then basting and sewing according to the design. The final result of applying the ostrich feather application technique to party dresses is in accordance with the source of ideas. The placement of ostrich feathers and the selection of material characteristics using plain white tulle with the addition of tulle sequins on the skirt so that it has a glamorous impression according to the source of ideas.
