Abstract

Creativity through song and movement is one way for coaches to build the enthusiasm of Happy Sunday Children to come to Church. Education in children's faith from an early age is the responsibility of all parties, including the Happy Week supervisors. Happy Sunday children really need creative coaches, because they are very active and not silent and there is a fighting attitude in these children. Therefore they need lots of stories, games, songs and movements, lively singing, coloring and so on. Songs and movements are an important aspect to increase children's enthusiasm for joy in these activities. Coaches are more creative and have the intention of looking for materials and activities such as songs and movements that will make Sunday children happy and interested in coming to church. The data obtained by this scientific work was through field research with a qualitative approach, with a locus in the Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Medan. It was found that cultivating the creativity of coaches was still lacking, due to the lack of knowledge and experience of coaches regarding creative activities and methods that were good and interesting for Happy Sunday Children. There is also a lack of support from parents and the entire community for the existing Happy Sunday Coaches.

Abstract

Building educational character is one of the efforts to realize the goals of national education, namely that students develop into human beings who believe and are devoted to God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and become democratic and responsible citizens. Instilling noble moral values (character) in students, starting from the family, continues at school and in society. The family must be a place where children humanize themselves. Schools must be a place where children become aware that they are civilized, love truth, honesty and authenticity. The key to successful character education in schools can be achieved by: preparing moral and religious education; prepare a clear, rational and consistent set of values, rules; input character education in intra, extra and co-curricular activities; teachers, seniors and the academic community are role models for appreciating the value of character education; socialize appropriately, create a conducive learning environment, supported by adequate learning facilities and resources. The community can also be a good role model in instilling character in the younger generation. Synergy between families, schools and communities needs to be built. Building educational character can influence students' thought patterns, actions and actions. Students not only develop intellectually, but can also become human beings with noble character as stated in the national education goals that we must realize

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the theological meaning of the "teing hang" ritual for ancestors in Manggarai culture. Using descriptive qualitative methods and an anthropological-theological approach, the author analyzes the structural aspects of the ceremonial text. The results of structural and textual analysis show that the text of the "teing hang" ceremony contains deep theology, every word spoken has theological meaning. Through this ceremony, the speaker invites the Manggarai people to understand the theology of death with symbolic meaning. The author uses an anthropological approach to understand the essence of the ceremony through knowledge of the Manggarai people's personalities. In general, research concludes that the "teing hang" ceremony is not a form of idolatry, dualism, or syncretism. This ceremony raised Manggarai people's awareness of life after death and that the relationship between the living (Musafir Church) and the dead (Jaya Church and Suffering Church) does not end with death. Dead people are considered intermediaries for prayers to Allah because of their superhuman status, but their role cannot be equated with that of a welfare.
