Abstract

This study explores the complex dynamics of sustaining worker engagement and retention in family-run Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, emphasizing the functions of leader competency and remuneration. 245 individuals from different family-owned MSMEs participated in the study, which used a quantitative methodology. To examine the connections between pay, leader competency, employee retention, and engagement, structural equation modeling (SEM) with partial least squares (PLS) was used. Strong validity and reliability were demonstrated by the measurement model, validating the applicability of the selected indicators. The structural model showed that there are strong positive correlations between pay, the ability of leaders, and employee engagement and retention. These results were also strongly impacted by the interaction effects of leader competency and compensation. The adequacy of the suggested model was confirmed by the goodness-of-fit indexes. By offering factual support and practical advice for family-owned MSMEs looking to improve employee engagement and retention, our findings add to the body of literature already in existence.

Abstract

The role of farmers, especially those in villages, has an important role in the running of the national economy, but there is a lack of supporting alternatives for the sustainability of the agricultural sector in rural areas. The future of Indonesian agriculture is threatened by the decreasing interest of the younger generation in engaging in agriculture, especially food farming. The Golden Indonesia 2045 generation farmers play an important role in realizing sustainable food through competencies that are in line with the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Indonesia has 84.4 million people who are young people under the age of 18 years. Of that number, 20-30 percent are expected to become Indonesian Golden Generation farmers in 2045 or when the 100th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia will be under 40 years old who can create food self-sufficiency for Indonesia. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Researchers use research data in the form of secondary data obtained from a number of credible sources such as scientific articles, books and a number of other sources that are credible and commonly used in research. These data were analyzed using analytical tools with stages of data collection, data selection, data reduction and drawing conclusions.

Abstract

Researchers believe that women's involvement will be able to have a positive relationship and have a significant influence on company performance because women have endurance, detailed attitudes, and so on compared to men in general. This research is quantitative research with an exploratory approach related to Employee Engagement, Company Performance, and Commitment as a source of energy to find novelty in the research being conducted. The data used in this research is quantitative data that researchers distributed to 450 employees of Pt. Waskita is spread throughout Indonesia with a minimum criteria of working for 6 months. This data was obtained by distributing questionnaires online and ultimately analyzed by the smart PLS 4.0 analysis tool. The result in this research show that the Women's Involvement variable can have a positive relationship and a significant influence on Company Performance because the P-Values value is positive and is below the 0.05 significance level, namely 0.022. Apart from that, as a second hypothesis, the researchers also believe that the Commitment variable can strengthen the influence of the Women's Involvement variable on Company Performance because basically women are detailed and diligent, and will be even more detailed and diligent if accompanied by strong commitment. So the results of the second row of table 3 of the Jlaur Coefficient in the research show that the Commitment variable can moderate this influence because the P-Values value is below the significance level of 0.05, namely 0.000, which is more significant than the direct test of 0.022. Thus, the first and second hypotheses in this study can be accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance with length of service as a moderating variable at PT. Mutual Cooperation Jaya Mendaris. In this research, data was collected using a questionnaire method from 48 respondents, employees of PT. Gotong Royong Jaya Mendaris Maintenance Department using the census method. Then analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis methods. Namely including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, hypothesis testing via the t test and analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2). The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using the Absolute Difference Test which functions to prove the research hypothesis. Data that have met the validity test, reliability test and classical assumption test are processed to produce the following regression equation: Y = 6.439 + 1.328X - 0.244Z. With 1 Independent Variable, 1 Dependent Variable and 1 Moderating Variable, it shows that. Hypothesis 1 states that work motivation has a positive effect on employee performance. From table 4.15, the tcount value is 3.416. With α = 5%, ttable (5%; nk = 46), the ttable value is 2.013. From this description it can be seen that tcount (3.416) > ttable (2.013), likewise with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, it can be concluded that the first hypothesis is accepted, meaningthe work motivation variable (X) has an effecton employee performance variables (Y). Hypothesis 2 states thatthe length of work variable (Z) has no effecton employee performance variables (Y). From table 4.15, the tcount value is -0.743. With α = 5%, ttable (5%; nk = 46), the ttable value is -2.013. From the description it can be seen that tcount (-0.743) > ttable (-2.013), and the value The significance is 0.461 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the second hypothesis is rejected, meaningthe length of work variable (Z) has no effecton employee performance variables (Y). Meanwhile, hypothesis 3 states that the Length of Work Variable (Z) cannot moderate the influence of the Work Motivation Variable (X) on the Employee Performance Variable (Y). From table 4.16, a value of -0.629 is obtained. With a significance value of 0.532 > 0.05, the parameter coefficient value is negative but not significant. Where it can be concluded that the third hypothesis is rejected.

Abstract

One of the new and different policies from previous governments is the policy of gender empowerment through the involvement of a minimum of 25% of women in State-Owned Enterprises to create gender equality (Sugiyono 2019). On the one hand, we think this policy is good for implementing gender equality and women have a number of emotional and skill advantages where women are usually more detailed and more diligent than men. However, on the other hand, a number of groups consider that this policy is not necessary because if the women who are categorized as having the skills and emotions that are conveyed, they will automatically get a position/position in a company without having to require a minimum policy of 25%. Therefore, researchers aim to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of implementing 25% women's involvement in BUMN. The research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, namely describing things related to women. The data used in this research is secondary data that researchers obtained from scientific manuscripts, books and other references that are usually used in every research. These data were analyzed using the SWOT analysis technique

Abstract

The flow of labor migration indicates low employment opportunities in the country, thus encouraging them to trade in neighboring countries, which offer market opportunities that are more promising for prosperity. In this context, cross-border migration in border areas is seen as positive because it can reduce the problem of unemployment in the country and can improve the economic life of the community. Encourage increased productivity and innovation. Another thing that can happen to cross-border migration is that migration can create competition in the workforce. Workers may compete with the local workforce for low-paying jobs, this can result in pressure on wages and working conditions. The research was carried out using the literature study method. A literature review was used to collect data and information regarding the influence of cross-border migration on the labor market in border areas. This research discusses the definition of cross-border migration, the different styles and types of cross-border migration, the influence of cross-border migration on the labor market, and the factors that influence cross-border migration.
