A business continuity strategy is a collection of organizational objectives, guidelines, plans, and initiatives with the goal of spotting market possibilities, maintaining the company, and generating revenue. Business sustainability strategy is part of business strategy and cannot be separated from the business model. To grow the business sustainably, companies must continue to evaluate their business strategies. Business strategy analysis is an important step in designing a viable business model, so that it has a lasting impact on business life. Businesses should have appropriate financial strategies and management to face changes in tough business strategies. Effective communication between the finance department and other departments is crucial for the implementation of financial management initiatives. To meet shared financial objectives, all departments within the firm must collaborate. Businesses may enhance performance, preserve financial stability, and guarantee long-term sustainability by putting suitable financial management techniques into practice. This research discusses the definition and principles of sustainability in a business context, financial approaches to maintaining and improving business sustainability, details of strategies adopted by businesses to ensure their sustainability, and a discussion of key findings that show the relationship between historical financial analysis and the development of sustainability strategies.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country comprising several large islands, including Kalimantan. Kalimantan is one of the largest islands in the world and has been selected as the location for the development of the new capital city, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN). The goal of economic development is to achieve higher and more equitable economic growth across all regions. However, economic growth disparities remain in East Kalimantan, particularly among the 10 regencies/cities within the province. Key determinants of economic growth include life expectancy, average years of schooling, and the open unemployment rate. This research is classified as associative research using a quantitative approach. The data source consists of secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to construct panel data for regencies/cities in East Kalimantan Province from 2018 to 2023, covering 10 regencies/cities. The study comprises 60 observations in total. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis and panel data regression analysis. The results of the study show: Life expectancy, education level, and open unemployment rate have a significant simultaneous effect on economic growth in regencies/cities in East Kalimantan Province. Life expectancy has a positive but not significant effect on economic growth, education level has a positive and significant effect on economic growth, and the open unemployment rate has a negative and significant effect on economic growth. The government can prioritize improving the qualifications of the workforce through training and education programs aligned with local labor market needs, strengthening economic infrastructure to enhance regional accessibility and competitiveness, optimizing the utilization of local resources in regencies/cities across East Kalimantan, and allocating resources and attention to economic factors that directly influence economic growth in the region.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of underpricing in Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2013-2017. This study uses a quantitative method with an exploratory approach, involving 59 companies selected through purposive sampling. The variables studied include Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Equity (ROE), auditor reputation, fractional holding, company age, company size, and proceeds. Data analysis was carried out through classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression. The results showed that only auditor reputation and fractional holding variables had a significant effect on underpricing. High auditor reputation gives investors confidence, while fractional holding affects information asymmetry between management and investors. Other variables, such as DER, ROE, company age, company size, and proceeds, do not have a significant effect. This study provides insights for issuers and investors to understand the factors that influence stock underpricing, and encourages further research by expanding the variables and study period.
