Abstract

Behavioral economics, a dynamic field at the intersection of psychology and economics, recognizes that human decision-making is far from the rational, utility-maximizing model traditionally assumed in economic theory. This study delves into the profound implications of cognitive biases on decision-making and explores how effective economic communication can mitigate their effects. Key findings reveal the prevalence of cognitive biases, including confirmation bias, anchoring, and loss aversion, impacting a majority of decision-makers. These biases significantly affect personal finance, investment, and public policy choices. Effective communication strategies, message framing, and behavioral insights are pivotal in countering these biases and improving decision quality. Armed with an understanding of cognitive biases, economic experts and policymakers can tailor communication and policy design to promote rational choices. The study also identifies challenges and future directions, emphasizing the ongoing need for research and innovative strategies. In conclusion, this research sheds Light on the interplay between cognitive biases, economic communication, and decision-making, offering insights into strategies for enhancing economic well-being and promoting informed choices.

Abstract

This study delved into the intricate dynamics of economic governance in Indonesia's free trade epoch, offering a comprehensive analysis of the nation's journey in navigating challenges, implementing strategies, and fostering sustainable prosperity. The historical evolution unfolded as a testament to Indonesia's adaptability, marked by a deliberate reduction in state-owned enterprises and a shift towards a market-oriented approach. Key institutions, including the Central Bank of Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority, emerged as stalwarts, steering the nation through economic challenges with finesse. The literature review synthesized key findings, revealing consistencies and inconsistencies in understanding the impact of free trade agreements. Challenges such as trade deficits and income inequality were scrutinized alongside institutional reforms, such as the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap. The review identified gaps, urging further exploration into regional variations and the nuanced intersectionality of economic, social, and environmental factors. Implications for economic governance highlighted the need for targeted policy interventions, inclusive economic policies, and a call for continuous research to refine strategies. Acknowledging limitations, the study concluded with a nuanced understanding of Indonesia's economic landscape, paving the way for informed governance in the nation's ongoing pursuit of sustainable prosperity.

Abstract

Nature Tourism Park (TWA) is a conservation area that is formed and aims to be used as a location for tourism, education, research and cultural preservation. By looking at the completeness of the facilities and the potential of the flora and fauna in Sibolangit TWA, it should have the potential to be visited by more tourists. Moreover, its location is only 38 km from Medan City or one hour by road using a motorized vehicle, the place is on the edge of the Medan - Berastagi crossing road. The decline in visitors over the past 2 years has had an impact on the low income received by TWA Sibolangit, which is also one of the sources of PNBP (Non-Tax State Revenue). This study was conducted to answer several research questions, including: 1) What are the factors that affect WTP in Sibolangit TWA? Logistic regression analysis was used and 2) How much is the WTP value by visitors to Sibolangit TWA? Using CVM and average WTP. The target of the questionnaire is teenage visitors (12-25 years old). From the results of the study it is known that the significance value of each variable is smaller than 5 percent of only three variables, namely the variable gender, level of knowledge, and visitor perceptions of service. And based on the above calculations, the average WTP value of respondents is Rp. 7,875. Rounded up to Rp. 8,000,-

Abstract

Researchers believe that by involving an employee in a conflict within a company, more employees will turn over or leave the company (Sugiyono, 2019). Apart from that, employee self-control is also key so that employees choose to stay or leave/turn over from a company. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the influence of Role Conflict and Locus of Control on Employee Turnover (Jonathan Sarwono, 2016). This research is quantitative research with an explanatory approach. The data used in this research is primary data that researchers distributed online to PT employees. KAI is spread throughout Indonesia, totaling 300 respondents with a minimum criteria of working for one year (Abdurahman, 2016). This data can also be called primary data. The data that was collected was analyzed using the smart PLS 4.0. The research results show that the Role Conflict variable has a positive relationship and a significant influence on the Employee Turnover variable. This is indicated by the statistical results in table 3. The Path Coefficient shows that the T-Statistics results have a positive direction and are above the standard deviation of 1,960, namely 3,019. Apart from that, the P-Values value which indicates whether it is significant or not is below the 0.05 significance level, namely 0.002. This is because the more employees are involved in a conflict in the company, it makes employees uncomfortable and in the end they can choose another company that can make them more comfortable at work.. This means that the more employees involved in conflict in a company, the more employees will leave a company. Apart from that, the Locus of Control variable also has a significant influence but has a negative relationship on Employee Turnover. This is because the T-Statistics value has a negative relationship that is above the standard deviation of 1,960, namely -2,890. The P-Valus value in this study is also below the significance level of 0.05, namely 0.009. This means that the more employees can control themselves within (Locus/Company), the more employees can do their work well and feel comfortable even though there are many conflicts and problems within a company. So the better the locus of control, the fewer employees will turnover from the company.
