Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work environment on employee performance, with work stress as a mediating variable at PT. Samira Makmur Sejahtera. The research employs a quantitative approach with simple random sampling, involving 91 employees as samples. Data were analyzed using path analysis along with outer and inner model analysis, assisted by SmartPLS 4.1.0.5 software. The results indicate that workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as does the work environment. Workload also positively and significantly affects work stress, while the work environment has a negative and significant effect on work stress. Work stress negatively and significantly affects employee performance. Mediation analysis reveals that work stress mediates the effect of the work environment on performance, but not the effect of workload. These findings highlight the importance of managing a conducive work environment to enhance employee performance and reduce work stress at PT. Samira Makmur Sejahtera.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of risk management in Rural Credit Institutions using a framework based on local cultural values. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with informants from managers and supervisors of the LPD Desa Adat Bualu. The implementation of risk management in LPD Desa Adat Bualu based on the five dimensions of the COSO framework was applied to realise the Catur Purusha Artha values. In addition, Tri Hita Karana crystallises in the behavioural patterns of all LPD management and supervisors to carry out internal control. The internal control system still needs to be improved in documenting risk identification and risk analysis, so that performance information carried out by management is conveyed to the village community as the principal. In addition, the internal supervisory side collaborates with independent supervisors to increase trust in management performance. This study supports the concept of agency theory, as implementing risk management and creating an internal control system can avoid information asymmetry and conflicts of interest between LPD management and the traditional village community as the owners of funds in LPD. The implication of risk management policies in LPDs is that they need to be adjusted to the characteristics of LPDs that use local cultural values. This study presents a combination of Balinese local values  within the five dimensions of the COSO framework. However, efforts from internal control carried out by LPD management can also become information asymmetry when there are differences in risk assessment and risk control perspectives from internal supervisors. Therefore, there needs to be awareness to improve individual competence from both LPD managers and LPD supervisors, especially in the financial sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of celebrity endorsements, online testimonials, and halal labels on the purchasing decisions of Somethinc skincare products among students at UIN Antasari, both partially and simultaneously. The research employs a quantitative approach using a field survey method. The sample was selected through accidental sampling from students who use Somethinc products, and data were collected through questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the SPSS version 22 application. The F-test results show that simultaneously, the variables of celebrity endorsement, online testimonials, and halal labels have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. However, the t-test results indicate that celebrity endorsement does not have a partial effect, while online testimonials and halal labels have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. Based on these findings, it is recommended that skincare business actors prioritize promotional strategies that emphasize consumer testimonials and the clarity of halal certification as key factors in attracting Muslim consumers, rather than relying solely on celebrity popularity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of socioeconomic factors on the involvement of Yadika Cicalengka High School/Vocational School alumni in agrarian disputes. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the findings indicate a significant link between individuals' socioeconomic conditions and their likelihood of becoming involved in land conflicts. Alumni facing unstable economic situations tend to be more vulnerable to agrarian disputes, whether as victims or as participants. However, involvement in such disputes is not solely determined by socioeconomic factors, as government policy, limited access to legal information, and internal family conflicts also play important roles. These findings highlight the importance of improving legal literacy and economic empowerment among youth as preventive strategies to reduce the risk of agrarian conflict. Basic legal education and entrepreneurship training could help strengthen the socioeconomic resilience of the younger generation. This study is limited by its sample, which only includes alumni from a single educational institution, and does not explore qualitative factors that may influence involvement in conflicts. Future research is recommended to adopt a mixed-method approach and broader social and geographical coverage to gain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity and sales growth on firm value, with profitability as a mediating variable, in retail companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019–2023. The analysis is based on secondary data derived from annual financial statements and IDX statistics. The research population consists of 51 retail sector companies, from which 95 observations were selected using purposive sampling based on specific criteria, covering 19 firms. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach with WarpPLS software. The findings reveal that liquidity has a significant positive impact on profitability, while sales growth does not significantly influence profitability. Furthermore, both liquidity and sales growth have a significant negative effect on firm value, whereas profitability positively and significantly contributes to firm value. However, the mediating role of profitability is not supported, as it does not significantly mediate the relationship between liquidity or sales growth and firm value. These results suggest that while improving liquidity can enhance profitability, it does not necessarily increase firm value. Additionally, sales growth alone is insufficient to improve either profitability or firm value without effective cost management. Profitability remains a critical determinant of firm value, highlighting the importance of operational efficiency and strategic financial management in the retail sector.

Abstract

The low growth of new entrepreneurs and the high open unemployment rate in Boalemo Regency have become critical issues that affect regional economic development and poverty levels. These challenges are primarily caused by the lack of training, mentoring, and optimal participatory planning, which hinders the confidence and initiative of prospective micro-entrepreneurs. This study uses secondary data obtained through literature review to analyze open unemployment projections based on age group, gender, and education level, as well as the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Boalemo Regency for 2025-2029. The GRDP projection indicates a positive economic trend across various sectors. However, unemployment is predicted to rise among the 35–44 and 55+ age groups. To address this, strategic recommendations are proposed by referring to the Regional Manpower Plan (RTKD) 2025–2029. The study emphasizes the importance of participatory planning through Musrenbang forums that involve micro-business actors. These forums aim to identify operational support needs, business development strategies, and entrepreneurship opportunities that can be translated into concrete programs funded by the regional budget (APBD), thereby encouraging the growth of micro enterprises and reducing unemployment.

Abstract

In the era of rapid globalization and digital transformation, Indonesia’s banking sector is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting national economic growth. To stay competitive and maximize their contribution to the economy, banks must continuously enhance their operational performance. Intense competition in terms of growth and market share emphasizes the importance of understanding the key factors that drive banking performance. This study investigates the impact of managerial capabilities and external environmental conditions on the performance of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, a state-owned bank in Indonesia, during recent years. The results reveal that both internal managerial factors and external environmental factors significantly influence bank performance, with managerial capabilities playing a more dominant role. These insights highlight the critical importance of strengthening internal management skills while remaining adaptive to external changes. The study provides valuable guidance for banking management in developing effective strategies to improve performance through internal capacity building and environmental responsiveness.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the banking industry, including Islamic banking. One crucial aspect that has gained attention is risk management, considering that Islamic banks operate based on Sharia principles, which avoid riba (interest), gharar (uncertainty), and maysir (gambling). This study discusses risk management strategies in Islamic banks using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) approach as an innovative solution to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of risk mitigation. AI offers several advantages, such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and automation in managing credit, liquidity, operational, and Sharia compliance risks. By leveraging AI technology, Islamic banks can identify risk patterns more quickly, optimize profit-sharing-based financing decisions, and improve compliance with applicable regulations. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review and secondary data analysis to illustrate how AI can be applied in Islamic banking risk management. The findings indicate that integrating AI into the Islamic banking system not only strengthens resilience to risks but also supports transparency, operational efficiency, and customer trust. However, this study is limited by its reliance on secondary data and literature sources, which may not fully capture real-time implementation challenges faced by Islamic banks. Therefore, AI-based risk management strategies represent a strategic step to enhance the competitiveness of Islamic banks in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid globalization of trade demands more efficient cross-border processes, yet ASEAN countries still face high logistics costs and procedural delays. As a response, the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) initiative was developed to streamline customs processes and integrate trade administration systems across member states. This study aims to evaluate the benefits of ASW implementation, identify key challenges across political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal dimensions (PESTEL), and offer strategic recommendations for improvement. The research uses a qualitative method based on secondary data, including journal articles, official reports, and policy documents published between 2015-2025. PESTEL analysis is applied to structure and assess the external factors influencing ASW implementation. Findings show that ASW significantly improves trade efficiency, transparency, and cost-effectiveness. However, challenges such as regulatory inconsistencies, technological gaps, and limited legal harmonization persist. The study outlines short-, medium-, and long-term roadmaps, offering phased solutions such as modular system design, AI-based risk prediction, and legal standardization. In conclusion, ASW holds strong potential to enhance ASEAN’s regional trade competitiveness if implementation is supported by political commitment, legal reform, capacity-building, and robust digital infrastructure.
