Abstract

According to WHO, early marriage is a marriage between a couple or one of the partners is still categorized as a child or teenager under the age of 19 years. Jambi Province ranks ninth in the rate of marriage at a young age in Indonesia, amounting to 14.8% in 2019, where the percentage for Kerinci Regency is 21%. Among the factors that influence early marriage are low knowledge and economic status. This research aims to determine the influence of knowledge and economic status on early marriage in Keliling Danau district, Kerinci regency. The method used in this research was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach where 92 women from couples of childbearing age were the research sample. The sampling technique was simple random sampling and the data was analyzed using chi-square test analysis. Early marriage among respondents was 48.9%, the majority of respondents had good knowledge (65.2%) and high economic status (81.5%). The results of statistical tests show that there is an influence between the knowledge variable (p-value=0.003) and economic status (p-value=0.025) on early marriage. Therefore, it is hoped that regional governments can coordinate across the health sector to increase outreach regarding the prevention of early marriage and the negative impacts it causes.

Abstract

In a rapidly evolving industry, the focus on the risk of Repetitive Occupational Muscle Disorder (GOTRAK) is increasing. Compliance with Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 9011:2021 on ergonomics in the workplace is essential to identify and control these risks. This study aims to pinpoint ergonomic hazards at PT X associated with GOTRAK, so as to provide important insights to improve worker welfare. The study, conducted using a quantitative approach, involved workers from wet and dry production processes in manufacturing. Primary data collection from 57 rotating shift workers, who each worked for 8 hours each day, showed that 32 respondents (56%) faced high upper body GOTRAK risk with the right shoulder (26.3%), left shoulder (14%), and lower back (12.3%) being the most vulnerable areas. The evaluation showed significant ergonomic risks in wet production work such as pre-breaking, breaking, pressing, and handling rubber blankets, and in dry production work such as transporting blankets, grinding, drying, transferring cakes from trolleys, pressing, and weighing. These conditions are considered hazardous, requiring immediate action to improve working conditions and worker welfare.

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation and perception of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) among cadets in the Port and Shipping Management program at the Jakarta Maritime Institute. Through qualitative interviews and surveys with 50 cadets, key K3 aspects such as hazard identification, safe work practices, and physical health were examined. The results reveal a strong emphasis on preventing accidents and injuries, while also highlighting areas for improvement in mental health, healthy lifestyles, and productivity-related aspects. Additionally, the research assesses the alignment of K3 practices with international standards and regulations, such as the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). While certain K3 aspects and regulations are compliant, there are opportunities for further improvement to ensure full alignment. The implications of the research extend to policy and practice in the maritime industry, emphasising the importance of continuous evaluation and refinement of K3 practices to foster a stronger safety culture among future maritime leaders and enhance the overall safety and health of workers in the maritime sector.

If not treated quickly it can develop into an infection. The newest wound healing methods currently have an important role in treating diabetic ulcers, one of which is Modern Dressing with Moist Wound Healing. The aim of this research is to identify the effectiveness of modern wound care using moist wound healing dressing techniques in healing diabetic ulcers at the Sering Road. The research design used in this study used a quasi-experimental design with a cross- sectional method approach. The sampling used was accidental sampling, namely 30 respondents. Based on the results of the Paired T-Test and Independent T-Test, the p- value was obtained (0.000 < ? 0.05), in the control group, p value ? = 0.080 (p > 0.05). Thus, it can be said that there is no effectiveness of modern wound care using moist wound healing dressing techniques in healing diabetic ulcers at the Sering Road. It is hoped that Sering Road can improve the quality and quality of modern wound care services using moist wound healing dressing techniques for diabetic ulcer sufferers.
