Abstract

PT. Bukit Baiduri Energi (BBE) is a coal mining company that utilizes hauling roads as the main infrastructure for material transportation. This study focuses on a 1.7 km road segment selected as the object of technical evaluation. The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of road geometry improvements on hauling time efficiency and equipment productivity. The method employed includes direct field measurements and calculations of operational parameters such as travel time, cycle time, and productivity. The results indicate that improvements in road grade reduced travel time from 10.13 minutes to 9.86 minutes. This reduction was followed by a decrease in cycle time from 16.29 minutes to 16.22 minutes. In addition, productivity increased from 65.4 bcm/hour to 66.69 bcm/hour. Also, improvements in curve radius and superelevation were implemented on the hauling road. These improvements resulted in a further decrease in travel time from 9.86 minutes to 8.6 minutes. Consequently, the cycle time also decreased from 16.22 minutes to 16.18 minutes. The productivity of hauling equipment increased from 66.69 bcm/hour to 67.02 bcm/hour. Overall, the evaluation of road geometry provided a positive contribution to operational performance. The productivity of overburden removal increased from 65.4 bcm/hour to 67.02 bcm/hour, representing an improvement of 2.48%.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the management system for Taman Imbi by the Department of Public Works and Public Housing (Dinas PUPR) and to analyze its comfort level based on the perceptions of park visitors and street vendors (PKL). Taman Imbi, managed by the PUPR Service (Section for Environmental Management and Parks), is one of the main urban parks in the city center of North Jayapura District. The research uses a descriptive, qualitative approach combined with Likert-scale analysis. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires distributed to 100 park visitors and 10 business actors (PKL) operating around the park. Eight comfort indicators were assessed, based on Hakim (2003): aesthetics, cleanliness, safety, noise, circulation, aroma, physical form, and climate/natural forces. Results indicate that, based on visitor perceptions, the overall comfort level was 56.0% (fairly good), while PKL perceptions were 64.4% (good). Among all indicators, circulation scored the lowest for visitors (46.2%), particularly ease of access. Aroma/odor scored the highest for PKL (80.0%). The study recommends rehabilitating park facilities, reactivating security posts, improving pedestrian and parking access, and clarifying spatial zoning for economic and community activities in the park.

Abstract

Online transportation has become an essential component of modern urban mobility, significantly transforming the way people travel while creating new challenges related to service quality, safety, customer satisfaction, sustainability, and its impact on conventional public transportation. This study aims to examine the development of research on online transportation through a bibliometric analysis combined with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data were collected from the Scopus database using the keyword "Online Transportation" and filtered using the PRISMA framework, resulting in 90 eligible articles for analysis. The bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer to identify publication trends, leading contributing countries, author affiliations, journal sources, and the most frequently occurring keywords. The findings reveal that research on online transportation remains relatively limited despite showing a gradual increase in recent years. Indonesia emerged as the country with the highest number of publications, followed by the United States, China, Japan, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom. Frequently occurring keywords indicate that online transportation research is commonly associated with traffic management, drivers, passenger safety, customer satisfaction, service quality, employment, and user loyalty. These findings suggest substantial opportunities for future studies, particularly in the areas of regulatory frameworks, sustainable transportation, traffic safety, digital technology integration, and the development of intelligent transportation systems to support more efficient, inclusive, and sustainable urban mobility.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in speed boat maintenance activities as a supporting facility for ship agency operations at PT. Sinar Pasific. The high intensity of speed boat usage makes the fleet vulnerable to damage if maintenance is not carried out regularly and according to procedures. Based on initial observations, inconsistencies in maintenance implementation, incomplete documentation, and damage to the engine, electrical systems, and hull were still found, which can disrupt company operations. This study aims to determine the implementation of SOPs, the obstacles encountered, and the efforts made to optimize speed boat maintenance at PT. Sinar Pasific. This research was conducted at PT. Sinar Pasific during the author’s Onboard Practical Training (PRADA) from August 2024 to July 2025. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The data sources were obtained through direct field observation, semi-structured interviews with personnel involved in speed boat operations, and documentation studies related to fleet maintenance activities. The results show that the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in speed boat maintenance at PT. Sinar Pasific has been carried out but has not yet run optimally. This is indicated by inconsistent maintenance schedules, lack of supervision, and incomplete maintenance documentation. In addition, several problems were still found, such as damage to the engine, electrical systems, and speed boat hulls, which can hinder company operations. To overcome these obstacles, the company has made efforts by improving discipline in SOP implementation, conducting regular supervision and evaluation, improving maintenance documentation, and increasing technicians’ understanding of the importance of preventive maintenance so that speed boat conditions are maintained and operational activities run smoothly.

Abstract

Lead (Pb²⁺) contamination in wastewater is a major environmental concern due to its toxicity, persistence, and ability to accumulate in living organisms. Adsorption using biomass-based materials has been developed as an alternative treatment method because it is efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly. This study aimed to analyze the effect of bioadsorbent dosage and contact time on Pb²⁺ removal efficiency and evaluate Pb²⁺ mass distribution using mass balance analysis in a batch adsorption system. Ramie leaf (Boehmeria nivea) was utilized as a bioadsorbent due to its lignocellulosic content, which provides active sites for metal ion adsorption. The research was conducted experimentally through bioadsorbent preparation, chemical activation, and batch adsorption using artificial Pb²⁺ solutions with variations in bioadsorbent dosage and contact time. Pb²⁺ concentrations before and after adsorption were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The obtained data were used to determine removal efficiency and Pb²⁺ distribution between the liquid phase and bioadsorbent. The results showed that ramie leaf bioadsorbent effectively reduced Pb²⁺ concentration, with the optimum condition obtained at 4 g/L bioadsorbent dosage and 90 minutes contact time, achieving 98.46% removal efficiency. Mass balance analysis indicated that Pb²⁺ ions were successfully transferred from the solution phase onto the bioadsorbent surface. These findings demonstrate that ramie leaf bioadsorbent has potential as a sustainable alternative material for heavy metal removal in wastewater treatment.

Abstract

The rapid population growth in urban areas has caused various complex problems, such as congestion, air pollution, and the high use of private vehicles, so that it becomes a challenge in realizing sustainable cities and settlements. Public transportation is present as one of the solutions in overcoming these problems because it can increase community mobility and reduce negative impacts on the environment. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT), TransJakarta, and Electric Rail Trains (KRL) in supporting the achievement of SDGs 11 Sustainable Cities and Settlements. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results show that the MRT and KRL contribute to efforts to reduce carbon emissions and congestion, TransJakarta excels in the aspect of cost affordability while the LRT plays a role in improving urban connectivity efficiently. Thus, public transportation palas an important role in realizing sustainable cities and settlements with the integration between modes of public transportation which is the main factor in supporting the achievement of SDGs 11 optimally.

Abstract

Final finishing work is a critical stage in road construction because it affects surface smoothness, elevation accuracy, and road slope in accordance with technical specifications. At this stage, the motor grader serves as the primary piece of equipment; therefore, a productivity analysis is necessary to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of its use in supporting the completion of road construction projects. This study aims to analyze the productivity, equipment requirements, and operational efficiency of the Hidromek MG330 motor grader during final finishing work on the road section STA 0+400-0+500 in the Subang Smartpolitan Industrial Park, Subang Regency. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method, utilizing primary data such as cycle time, number of passes, operating speed, blade working width, pass length, effective working time, and downtime, as well as secondary data including equipment specifications, work volume, and implementation schedules. The results show that the motor grader achieved a productivity rate of 303.33 m³/hour with a daily output of 2,426.64 m³/day. A work volume of 375 m³ can be completed using one motor grader in approximately 1.24 hours, with a working time utilization rate of 15.5% and an operational efficiency factor of 75%. The results of the study indicate that the use of a single motor grader is sufficient to complete finishing work effectively and efficiently and can serve as a reference for planning heavy equipment usage, controlling project timelines, and optimizing productivity in road construction projects.

Abstract

 The Bogor Botanical Gardens serves as a prominent nature-based educational tourism destination that utilizes its rich, living environment as a primary learning medium. This research aims to comprehensively understand and analyze the specific strategies employed by the management of Bogor Botanical Gardens in operating its environmental-based educational tourism. While the Bogor Botanical Gardens possesses immense potential to serve as a world-class center for ex-situ conservation and environmental education, its educational function has not yet been fully optimized to reach its maximum impact. Consequently, this study seeks to identify existing operational gaps and uncover strategic opportunities for improvement. To achieve a profound understanding of the complex dynamics in the field, this study adopts a qualitative approach utilizing an educational research design. This framework allows for a nuanced exploration of how educational programs are delivered and received. Data collection was meticulously carried out through a combination of: Field observations of ongoing tour programs and visitor interactions, Semi-structured interviews designed to capture diverse, first-hand perspectives, and Documentation review of internal management guidelines and educational materials.

Abstract

Right-turn prohibition is one of the traffic management and engineering measures aimed at reducing traffic conflict points and improving intersection performance. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the right-turn restriction at the unsignalized intersection of Jalan Karimata–Jalan Putri Daranante, Pontianak City, based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023. A descriptive quantitative method was employed using traffic survey and CCTV data collected on a weekday, weekend, and holiday. The evaluation focused on the restriction period by comparing three conditions: the existing condition (the actual situation while the policy is enforced), Scenario 1 (the condition before the policy was implemented), and Scenario 2 (the condition assuming full compliance with the restriction). The analyzed parameters included capacity, degree of saturation, delay, queue probability, and level of service. During the critical period on Monday (06:30–07:30) with a traffic volume of 1,308 pcu/h, the existing condition and Scenario 1 produced nearly identical performance (capacity of 2,437 and 2,435 pcu/h; degree of saturation of 0.54; delay of 9.86 s/pcu; queue probability of 13–27%), indicating that the enforced policy has not yet produced a meaningful change. In contrast, Scenario 2 showed an increase in capacity to 2,682 pcu/h, a decrease in the degree of saturation to 0.49, delay to 9.37 s/pcu, and queue probability to 11–24%. The level of service remained at category B across all three conditions. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of the right-turn restriction is strongly influenced by road users' compliance.
