Abstract

One method of learning Arabic in Al Muayyad Islamic Boarding School Surakarta is the use of the direct method. This method emphasizes the practice of continuous conversation between teachers and students using Arabic without the slightest use of the mother tongue, both in explaining the meaning of vocabulary and translating. The purpose of the direct method here is to train the students to be able to communicate in Arabic. Arabic learning at the Al Muayyad Islamic Boarding School in Surakarta is implemented through muhadatsah learning/conversation practice (learning to talk/practicing dialogue), muthola'ah (learning to read), imla'/dictation (learning Arabic by dictating), and qowaid (nahwu shorof learning). The learning of muhadatsah, muthola'ah, and imla' is applied using the direct method while qowaid (learning nahwu shorof, namely learning about Arabic grammar) is carried out by the inductive method. Abstract

The teaching of Islamic cultural history has often been teacher-centered, where the teacher transfers knowledge to passive students. This phenomenon is also observed at MI Nurussalam Mantingan, where many students struggle with solving problems, resulting in low learning outcomes. This is attributed to the lack of opportunities for students to think critically, express their ideas, and write proficiently. To address this issue, the researcher implemented a cooperative learning model to activate students and enhance the learning process, with one such model being the Time Token cooperative learning model. The research problem addressed in this study is whether the implementation of the Time Token cooperative learning model can improve students' learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to investigate students' learning outcomes after the implementation of the Time Token cooperative learning model. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), with the subjects being 24 sixth-grade students at MI Nurussalam. Data were collected through observation sheets for teacher and student activities, as well as test items to measure students' learning outcomes using percentage formulas. The analysis of the data revealed that students' learning outcomes increased from 58% in Cycle I to 92% in Cycle II. It can be concluded that students' learning outcomes significantly improved through the implementation of the Time Token cooperative learning model, with a 92% increase in learning outcomes.

Abstract

Akidah Akhlak, a subject in Islamic religious education at MI Nurussalam, often presents challenges in student engagement due to its perceived monotony. In this study, the Bamboo Dancing learning model was implemented to address this issue, aiming to foster teamwork, concentration, communication among peers, and cognitive development. Students formed groups and moved in a clockwise manner while posing questions to their peers, enhancing their learning experience. The choice of the Bamboo Dancing learning model for the Akidah Akhlak subject was intentional, as it aimed to inject enthusiasm and interactivity into the learning process, which typically involves passive knowledge transfer from teacher to student. The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of this model in improving students' learning outcomes. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was employed as the research methodology. Results from the first cycle showed that 60% of students scored above 60, which increased to 80% in the second cycle. This indicates that the Bamboo Dancing learning model effectively enhances students' engagement and overall learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning is an activity involving both physical and psychological aspects and is the key element in education. In the current era of globalization, learning is often equated with schooling, although schools are just one of the learning environments for students. The success in achieving educational goals is greatly influenced by the learning process experienced by students as learners. Jean Piaget is an influential theorist in the field of cognitive development of learners. Departing from the aforementioned issues, the researcher aims to uncover the concept of learning and its methods according to Jean Piaget. The research approach used in this study is literature research, whereby in data collection, the researcher utilizes both primary and secondary data. Primary data consists of literature from Jean Piaget's books, while secondary data is obtained from supporting sources. These data are obtained through the documentation method. In the analysis, the researcher employs the content analytical method. From this simple study, the researcher can conclude that: The concept of learning according to Jean Piaget is divided into two understandings, namely figurative learning and operative learning. The objects of learning according to Jean Piaget are thinking, sciences, and arts. The goal of learning according to Jean Piaget is to develop intellectuality and logic, and to develop and plan actions that initially seem excessive into mental operations. Learning methods according to Jean Piaget include top-down processing, cooperative learning, and generative learning. Learning sources according to Jean Piaget are physics, logical mathematics, and social sciences. The scope of learning according to Jean Piaget encompasses parents, environment, and experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Ishikawa Diagrams Learning Model as an alternative teaching strategy to enhance the learning outcomes of Grade V students in the Islamic Skills Study (SKI) subject at Muhammadiyyah Elementary School Kedung Gudel. This learning model is based on constructivist learning theory, which emphasizes the active role of students in learning and the use of visual aids to facilitate concept understanding. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), involving student participation in the learning process that includes problem analysis and solution formulation. The results show that the implementation of the Ishikawa Diagrams Learning Model significantly improves student learning outcomes in the SKI subject. By using Ishikawa diagrams, students can identify factors influencing their understanding of the material, such as lack of understanding of basic concepts or lack of learning motivation. Additionally, through discussion and collaboration in problem-based learning, students can develop a deeper understanding of the concepts taught. The implications of this research are that the Ishikawa Diagrams Learning Model can be an effective alternative in enhancing SKI learning at the elementary school level. By utilizing a constructivist approach and visual aids, teachers can create a learning environment that stimulates critical thinking and active student participation. Moreover, this research also highlights the importance of using teaching methods that align with the characteristics of students and the subject matter being taught.

Abstract

Education is considered one of the primary values in Islam, with particular emphasis on the development of intellectuality. The concept of Ulu al-Albab, which literally means "people of understanding," is often mentioned in the Qur'an as a symbol of wisdom and deep understanding. This paper aims to analyze the verses that mention Ulu al-Albab in the context of intellectual education in Islam, using a classical Qur'anic exegesis approach, particularly the Al-Maraghi interpretation. Research Method: This study employs a qualitative approach focusing on the textual analysis of the Qur'an. The primary data used are the verses that mention Ulu al-Albab in the Qur'an, which are then deeply analyzed using the Al-Maraghi interpretation. Results and Discussion: The analysis of the verses mentioning Ulu al-Albab indicates that intellectual education in Islam emphasizes the importance of developing intellect and profound understanding of religious teachings and the surrounding world. These verses also highlight the importance of reflection, reasoning, and critical thinking in achieving true understanding.
