Abstract

A carbon tax is a climate policy instrument that imposes a fee on emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) or other greenhouse gases, with the aim of reducing such emissions. The research method is literature review. The results of the study show that a carbon tax can reduce emissions by encouraging increased energy efficiency and adoption of clean technologies by companies. The economic benefits of a carbon tax include the creation of a new source of revenue for the government, which can be used to fund environmental initiatives and support vulnerable groups. The results also reveal that a carbon tax has the potential to change people's consumption behaviour by internalising the external costs of carbon emissions. Increasing the price of goods and services with a high carbon footprint encourages consumers to choose greener alternatives, thereby increasing demand for green products and fuelling innovation in sustainable technologies.

Abstract

The ongoing industrialization process will certainly influence the dynamics of rural community life. As a basic prerequisite for industrialization, the transfer of land from agriculture to industry causes changes in various dimensions of people's lives. The absorption of workers, especially from outside the region, also gives rise to new communities in rural areas which increasingly add to the complex patterns of social relations that are being built. In responding to the industrialization process, society develops trust, strong interactions between members, as well as new norms or rules that indicate a type of bridging social capital. The basic principle of social capital is that only groups of people who have a set of social and cultural values that appreciate the importance of cooperation can progress and develop on their own. Bridging social capital owned by rural communities produces adaptive capacity. The forms of adaptive capacity developed are flexibility to maintain the sustainability of the rural industrialization process. In the next stage, this adaptive capacity becomes a supporting capacity in facing social change.

Abstract

Legal reform is an effort to improve the existing legal system with the aim of realizing better justice for society. In the context of applying the values of Pancasila and utilitarianism, there is an interesting approach that can provide a comprehensive view of legal reform efforts. First of all, Pancasila values as the basis of the Indonesian state have moral principles that can be used as a basis for forming laws. Principles such as social justice, democracy and fair humanity can be a basis for formulating legal policies that prioritize the interests of society as a whole. Meanwhile, the utilitarianism approach which emphasizes the concept of as much happiness or well-being as possible for as many people as possible can also be an important consideration. in legal reform. By taking into account the impact of a legal policy on the welfare of society at large, the application of utilitarianism can help assess the effectiveness and justice of a legal regulation. This can be reflected in efforts to create legal policies that are not only based on moral values, but also take into account positive consequences for society as a whole. Thus, the application of Pancasila values and utilitarianism in legal reform can be a strong foundation in realizing better justice for all Indonesian society.

Abstract

Internships are training activities or courses carried out by students to improve their soft skills competencies. Internship conducted by students can not only provide benefits to students who take part internship program, but with internship activities students can also improve their soft skills competency. This is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews with students who had completed internships in private companies and government institutions. The research results show that internship activities carried out by students are a good means to improve their soft skills competencies, especially in terms of behavior, communication, critical thinking skills, ability to work in teams, desire to continue learning, service and entrepreneurship skills, ethics and leadership. The success of interns in improving the quality of their soft skills also depends on their willingness to continue learning from experience and from the mistakes they make. If students can improve their soft skill competencies optimally, then this can help reduce educational unemployment.

Abstract

Harmonization of state administration and analysis of public services in the concept of good governance are very relevant topics in the context of public administration reform in many countries. Good governance emphasizes the importance of transparency, accountability, public participation, good rule of law, as well as efficiency and effectiveness in administering government. Harmonization of state administration refers to efforts to align various components of public administration so that they work efficiently and effectively in achieving government goals. This includes good coordination between government agencies, clear division of tasks, and integration of administrative processes to avoid overlap and promote optimal use of resources. Implementing the concept of good governance in public services requires commitment from the government and related parties to carry out reforms in the public administration system. This includes developing policies that support transparency and accountability, increasing the ability of institutions to provide quality services, and increasing community participation in decision making. Although the concepts of good governance and harmonization of state administration offer a strong framework for improving public service performance, their implementation is often faced with challenges such as corruption, lack of resources, and resistance to change from the parties involved. However, with a strong commitment from all relevant parties, it can be hoped that public administration reform can produce better, more efficient and more inclusive public services for all citizens.

Abstract

Debt management: Strategies to minimize financial risk are a set of practices and strategies implemented by an individual or company to effectively manage debt. The goal is to meet payment obligations on time, reduce liquidity and credit risks, and stabilize debt costs by diversifying financing sources and using hedging instruments. The research methodology was conducted using a literature review approach. The results of this study indicate that good cash flow management is a key factor in minimizing liquidity risk, including measures such as aligning debt repayment plans with income sources and maintaining adequate cash reserves. Diversified funding sources have also been shown to be effective in reducing concentration risk and reliance on a single loan type or creditor, while hedging instruments such as interest rate swaps and foreign exchange forwards help stabilize borrowing costs. In addition, the results show that consistent and structured credit assessments can strengthen credit risk control and reduce default risk. Companies that actively assess their own credit and use detailed credit reports are better able to handle credit issues. The use of scenario analysis and stress models in risk profile management also provides important insights to support better decision-making.
