Abstract

Moral values are the main foundation in Islamic teachings that have a strategic role in shaping individual character and building a harmonious social order. This study aims to analyse how the implementation of moral values is applied in the social life of Muslim communities, both in the family environment, education, economy, and social interaction. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, it is found that noble morals such as honesty, trustworthiness, tolerance, responsibility, and social care are important pillars in fostering human relations. The role of the family, educational institutions, and community leaders is decisive in instilling and fostering the morals of the Muslim generation. However, the challenges of globalisation and digitalisation today often weaken moral values and strengthen individualistic culture. Therefore, strengthening moral education through integrative and exemplary approaches needs to be continuously developed so that Muslim communities can maintain their moral and social identity. This research recommends a synergy between formal education, family, and social environment in upholding moral values in the midst of changing times.

Abstract

This article introduces Entagogy, a posthumanist, systems-theoretical framework for AI-integrated learning that addresses conceptual gaps left by traditional paradigms such as pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy. Drawing on Luhmann’s theory of structural coupling, Entagogy reconceptualises the interaction between the Human Cognitive System (HCS) and the AI Semantic Subsystem (AISS) as co-autopoietic, mutually adaptive, and structurally coupled processes occurring within an entangled Zone of Proximal Development (e-ZPD). Entagogy’s novel contributions include (i) the introduction of a measurable Coupling Index and clearly defined mechanical thresholds of adaptivity, latency responsiveness, and governance permeability, that determine when genuinely recursive and co-constructive learning emerges; (ii) the elaboration of the Entagogy Stack, an integrative schema connecting computational substrates, interface semantics, exogenous perturbations, and institutional policy; and (iii) a methodological roadmap structured around four analytical lenses: scenario-based reasoning, learning-analytics trace ethnography, longitudinal mixed-methods inquiry, and comparative multimodal analysis. The article explicitly addresses limitations, including systemic risks associated with digital inequality, bias propagation, and ethical oversight. Ultimately, Entagogy equips researchers, educators, and policymakers with actionable theoretical constructs, robust validation criteria, and equity-driven governance recommendations, guiding the development of ethically grounded, adaptive, and inclusive AI-enhanced learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the implementation of character education at SD Negeri Puspitek, South Tangerang. Character education plays a crucial role in shaping students’ personalities from an early age, encompassing values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and tolerance. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, as well as documentation of school programs related to character reinforcement. The findings reveal that character education at SD Negeri Puspitek is implemented through integration into subject lessons, routine school activities, spontaneous activities, teacher modeling, and the development of a school-wide culture. Teachers play a vital role as role models in instilling character values in students. Additionally, the school organizes various extracurricular programs and flagship activities such as Friday Clean-Up, dhuha prayer habituation, and morning literacy sessions as platforms for character formation. Nevertheless, the study also identifies several challenges, including limited resources, diverse student backgrounds, and the lack of parental involvement in supporting character education at home. In conclusion, the implementation of character education at SD Negeri Puspitek has been carried out effectively and is integrated across various aspects of school life. However, achieving optimal outcomes requires stronger synergy among the school, teachers, students, and parents to continuously cultivate and reinforce character values.

The findings indicate that the application of PjBL significantly fosters active student participation, enhances creativity, and strengthens collaboration in completing project-based tasks. Furthermore, PjBL supports students in mastering vocational competencies more effectively, as they are directly involved in the planning, execution, and evaluation of the project. However, several challenges were identified, including limited facilities, relatively short instructional time, and variations in students’ abilities that influence the overall effectiveness of the learning process. Overall, the implementation of PjBL proves to be an effective instructional strategy in enhancing students’ skills at SMK Negeri 1 Tangerang.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the process of internalizing Islamic educational values in the Cecah Inai tradition among the Malay community in Bunguran Timur District, Natuna Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving traditional leaders, Mak Inang (female ceremonial leaders), and local cultural officers. The findings showed that the Cecah Inai tradition was not merely a cultural ceremony within the Malay wedding sequence but also functioned as a medium for imparting Islamic values that became internalized in the community’s social life. The values that emerged in this tradition included aqidah values (faith and monotheism toward Allah), shari’ah values (obedience to laws and social etiquette), and akhlaq values (courtesy, patience, and moral responsibility). The Cecah Inai procession demonstrated a harmonious integration between customary practices and Islamic teachings, which characterized the culture of the Natuna Malay community. This study affirmed that local traditions played an important role as a non-formal educational medium in shaping character and strengthening the community’s Islamic identity.

Abstract

This study examined the tradition of infak (almsgiving) from a sociological perspective, analyzing the influence of social norms, cultural values, and social structures that shape its practice within Muslim communities. Infak was understood not only as a religious obligation but also as a social phenomenon that reflected collective moral responsibility, solidarity, and the distribution of welfare in society. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study analyzed textual sources, religious teachings, and sociological concepts to understand how the tradition of infak had been formed, maintained, and practiced over time. The findings indicated that social norms rooted in religious teachings strongly encouraged individuals to give infak as a moral duty, creating shared expectations for community members to contribute to social welfare. Cultural values emphasizing compassion, generosity, and mutual assistance further strengthened the continuity of this tradition. The study also revealed that infak played a significant role in reducing social inequality by supporting individuals and groups in vulnerable economic conditions. In addition, infak fostered social cohesion through interactions between donors and recipients, strengthening trust and communal ties. Despite its positive impact, challenges such as limited awareness, inconsistent participation, and economic constraints hindered its optimal implementation. Overall, this study concluded that the tradition of infak was a complex sociological phenomenon that contributed to reinforcing solidarity, justice, and social welfare. Therefore, continuous efforts were needed to promote and institutionalize infak practices to maximize their benefits for society.

Abstract

Students’ motivation plays a crucial role in determining the success of English language learning outcomes. Motivation influences students’ engagement, persistence, and attitudes toward learning activities, which ultimately affect their academic achievement. This study aims to examine the impact of students’ motivation on English language learning outcomes. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through motivation questionnaires and English achievement tests administered to students at the secondary education level. The data were analyzed using statistical techniques to identify the relationship between motivational factors and learning outcomes. The findings reveal that students with higher levels of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation tend to demonstrate better performance in English language skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The results also indicate that motivation significantly contributes to students’ willingness to participate actively in learning processes and to overcome learning difficulties. Therefore, enhancing students’ motivation should be a key focus for educators in designing effective English language instruction to improve learning outcomes.
