Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis konflik antara nelayan trawl dan nelayan tradisional di perairan Madura, dengan fokus khusus pada peran Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan (DKP) Jawa Timur dalam proses sekuritisasi isu tersebut. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi bahwa perbedaan alat tangkap, ketimpangan sumber daya ikan, dan perselisihan mengenai batas wilayah penangkapan merupakan penyebab umum terjadinya konflik antar nelayan. Penggunaan alat tangkap terlarang termasuk trawl, diketahui memiliki dampak destruktif terhadap ekosistem laut, yang mengakibatkan penurunan hasil tangkapan nelayan tradisional, sehingga memicu kesenjangan ekonomi dan potensi konflik sosial. Dengan memanfaatkan kerangka teori sekuritisasi dari Copenhagen School, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa isu penggunaan trawl telah berhasil dipolitisisasi dan dibawa ke ranah kebijakan, sehingga kolaborasi berbagai pihak untuk menciptakan kehidupan nelayan yang lebih aman, adil, dan berkelanjutan adalah hal yang sangat penting, terutama bagi negara kepulauan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan mengenai dinamika konflik di sektor perikanan dan implikasi kebijakan terkait keberlanjutan sumber daya kelautan.

Abstract

In the midst of the rapid development of social media, the event organizer industry is experiencing significant growth. The number of new event organizer companies that have emerged has made the market increasingly competitive, many business actors rely on price war strategies to attract customers. One of them is PT. Pagador Kreasi Mandiri which operates in the field of activity organizing services or is called an event organizer, be it gathering activities, especially outbound offroading and rafting. In facing these challenges, Instagram has become a very important tool for event organizer companies to remain relevant and competitive without having to get caught in a price war. Instagram allows event organizer companies to promote services through attractive visual content and highlight qualities that can differentiate them from other competitors. The theory used in this research is the marketing communication mix theory. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The techniques used in this research are interview techniques, observation techniques and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques used in qualitative research include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The data in this study was tested using data source triagulation. Based on the results of research regarding the role of Instagram as a promotional media to retain customers at event organizers PT. Pagador Kreasi Mandiri. Following are some of the main elements in the marketing communication mix used by PT. Pagador Kreasi Mandiri. Advertising via social media Instagram, by publishing video content via reels and Instastory features on Instagram @pagador_team. The role of Instagram as a promotional media at PT. Pagador Kreasi Mandiri is contacting customers via Direct Massage (DM) on Instagram with the aim of building relationships with potential customers and maintaining loyal customers, increasing sales and income. Personal selling used by PT. Pagador Kreasi Mandiri in promoting event organizers uses the Q&A and Live features on Instagram social media to integrate directly with customers. PT. Pagador Kreasi Mandiri uses sales promotions that provide special discount offers or vouchers to followers through posts or Stories, encouraging them to make immediate purchases

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has led to an increase in the collection and processing of personal data by various digital platforms. This phenomenon presents new challenges in the protection of privacy rights, particularly regarding the importance of consent as a legal basis for data management. This study aims to analyze the urgency of data subject consent in the management of personal data by digital platforms and to evaluate the effectiveness of its regulation under Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection. The main problem formulation focuses on how consent functions in ensuring legal protection for data owners and how its implementation is carried out in practice. This research applies a normative juridical method through statutory and literature approaches. The results show that although the PDP Law explicitly regulates the principle of consent, there remain implementation gaps in the field, including lack of information transparency, unclear consent mechanisms, and weak supervision. Therefore, reinforcement is needed through derivative regulations, the development of effective control mechanisms, and the improvement of public digital literacy. The conclusion affirms that consent is not merely an administrative formality but a fundamental guarantee of private rights protection. Recommendations are provided for policymakers and digital service providers to establish a trustworthy and law-abiding data governance system.

Abstract

The Singgalang newspaper is one of the oldest newspapers in West Sumatra, which faces stiff competition from digital media. Changes in reader behavior and the increasing use of digital technology have influenced the existence of the Singgalang daily newspaper. In this case, the application of media convergence can help the Singgalang daily newspaper increase reader reach and content quality. The Singgalang daily newspaper provides the latest innovation with the emergence of online media. Media convergence theory according to Henry Jenkins, convergence brings together the 3Cs, namely computing (data on computers), communication (communication), and content (content material). The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. . The techniques used in this research are: interviews, observation and documentation. Analysis activities consist of three activity streams that occur simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on data obtained from research results regarding the Implementation of Media Convergence by the Singgalang Daily Newspaper in the Digital Era, the following conclusions can be drawn: In implementing computing, the Singgalang Daily Newspaper uses digital technology to convey information in real-time through various platforms such as websites, Instagram and Facebook, so that readers can access news anytime and anywhere. Communication by using interactive features such as comment, like and share columns, Singgalang Daily can build closer relationships with its audience. The content varies, from viral news to the latest information. The use of various content formats, such as photos, videos and infographics, helps capture the audience's attention and increase their engagement with the news. The supporting factors for Singgalang Daily in implementing media convergence are history and trust as one of the oldest newspapers in West Sumatra. The inhibiting factors for Singgalang Daily are the use of a small server on the website, inadequate human resources and limited budget to support media convergence

Abstract

This study was conducted (1) To determine the use of Instagram in promoting Alifah plektok beer, UMKM in North Jakarta City. (2) To determine the marketing communication strategy in promoting Alifah plektok beer, UMKM in North Jakarta City through Instagram. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach using a triangulation data validity test to obtain the validity of this study. The results of this study are: (1) Instagram has users in the age range of teenagers to adults, where this age is the target market for Alifah plektok beer. The features provided by Instagram are very suitable and can support all planned Alifah plektok beer promotion strategies. Through Instagram, Alifah plektok beer has succeeded in introducing its products to the public, this is in accordance with the concept of UMKM (2) The use of everyday language that is friendly, easy to understand and tends to invite followers to communicate. The relationship with followers/customers is always maintained as well as possible by routinely responding to all forms of incoming feedback, be it in the form of comments from posts or private DMs. This is in accordance with the concept of Communication. Collaboration can expand the target market for Alifah plektok beer, done by collaborating with different UMKM communities. (3) All information about Alifah plektok beer can be accessed and asked directly through the @birplektokalifah account, the admin is always responsive in responding to feedback from followers. The varied content of Alifah plektok beer such as promos, health education gets a positive response from Instagram followers. An increase in the number of transactions always occurs when Alifah plektok beer does a certain discount promo.

Abstract

Perang dagang antara Amerika Serikat dan Tiongkok tidak hanya berlangsung dalam ranah ekonomi, tetapi juga melalui media dan strategi komunikasi yang bersifat propaganda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana kedua negara menggunakan propaganda sebagai alat untuk membentuk opini publik dan memperkuat posisi mereka dalam konflik perdagangan global. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode analisis wacana, studi ini menelusuri narasi yang dibangun oleh media resmi kedua negara, serta strategi retoris yang digunakan untuk menciptakan legitimasi kebijakan ekonomi masing-masing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa propaganda digunakan untuk membingkai lawan sebagai ancaman terhadap tatanan internasional dan sebagai upaya untuk memperoleh dukungan domestik. Selain itu, propaganda dalam perang dagang ini memperlihatkan adanya persaingan hegemoni naratif antara dua kekuatan besar dunia. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya peran media dan komunikasi strategis dalam kontestasi geopolitik kontemporer.

Abstract

Tukang doa kubur merupakan profesi yang tidak begitu terlihat di masyarakat. Pencipta karya melihat masyarakat yang masih kurang mengetahui profesi jasa pembaca doa makam, mungkin itu disebabkan profesi tersebut tidak banyak dipanuti masyarakat dan tidak menjadi profesi besar di lingkungan sosial. Bapak Muhtadi sebagai pelaku menjalani profesi tersebut bukan karena menyerah akan keadaan tetapi melainkan memang dia merasa keahliannya dalam beragama memiliki peluang dalam hal tersebut. Maka itu pencipta karya membuat sebuah film dokumenter biografi “Mencari Sesuap Nasi Dengan Menjadi Tukang Do’a”. Dalam pengkaryaan ini pencipta karya berperan sebagai Direct of Photography atau yang biasa disebut DoP. Seorang DoP memiliki peran dalam setiap prosesnya seperti pra produksi-produksi-pasca produksi. Pekerjaan terberat seorang DoP pada proses produksi yang benar-benar harus memperhatikan pengambilan gambar dan segala teknis kamera. Alasan pencipta karya membuat dokumenter ini ingin menyajikan tayangan yang informatif, edukatif, dan menghibur masyarakat. Dengan bentuk film dokumenter ini segala informasi dapat tersampaikan dengan nyata dan sesuai fakta.

Abstract

This research aims to understand and analyze how local politics plays a role in managing environmental security and cleanliness in Kelurahan Sungaiselincah, Kecamatan Kalidoni, Kota Palembang. Local politics is an important instrument in regional development because it determines policy direction, inter-agency coordination, and community participation in maintaining environmental order and cleanliness. In practice, the management of security and cleanliness in Kelurahan Sungaiselincah still faces various challenges, ranging from high crime rates, lack of street lighting, lack of community participation, to suboptimal waste management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with village officials, RT/RW heads, and local communities; direct observation at the location; and documentation from various primary and secondary sources. Data analysis was conducted descriptively-qualitatively with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that local politics plays an important role in shaping security policies and coordination through the Siskamling program and cooperation with the police. In terms of cleanliness, the kelurahan government initiated community service programs, environmental awareness campaigns, and procurement of trash bin facilities. However, the effectiveness of these policies is hampered by low community awareness, budget constraints, and weak synergies between local actors. This research emphasizes the importance of implementing collaborative governance that involves all stakeholders to create a safe, clean and sustainable environment.

Abstract

This study examines how traditional fishermen in Padang Coastal Area, West Sumatra, utilize social media to expand their market reach and improve economic welfare. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with three fishermen who have adopted digital platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and TikTok for marketing. The findings reveal that social media enables fishermen to bypass middlemen, establish direct consumer relationships, and implement pre-order systems, leading to higher profits and market stability. Key strategies include visual content marketing (e.g., real-time stories, videos) and personalized communication via WhatsApp. Despite generational gaps in digital literacy, younger fishermen exhibit greater adaptability to newer platforms like TikTok. The study highlights social media's role not only as a marketing tool but also as a catalyst for structural economic transformation, fostering trust, sustainability, and community-based digital ecosystems. Challenges include uneven digital access and the need for institutional support to strengthen infrastructure and skills. This research contributes to the discourse on digital empowerment in traditional sectors, offering insights for policymakers and stakeholders to enhance inclusive digital fisheries economies.

Abstract

YouTube merupakan media sosial berbasis streaming video yang sangat terkenal saat ini mampu memberikan pesonanya bagi para penggunanya. Maraknya pengguna YouTube tentu menghadirkan pesaing yang terus meningkat. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan branding yang kuat bagi setiap content creator. The Sungkars merupakan salah satu kanal YouTube yang memiliki konsep family yang dibangun oleh empat orang, yaitu Zaskia Sungkar, Shireen Sungkar, Teuku Wisnu, dan Irwansyah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui personal branding The Sungkars pada konten “Numpang Buka di Rumah Tasyi Athasyia! Makanannya Kaya Sultan!!” ditinjau dengan menggunakan 8 karakteristik personal branding menurut Peter Montoya. Ada- pun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. The Sungkars telah memenuhi delapan kriteria personal branding dari Pe- ter Montoya. Salah satu kriteria paling menonjol dari The Sungkars adalah the law of distinctiveness (perbedaan) dengan YouTube lain dimana The Sungkars merupakan kanal YouTube dua keluarga yang terjaga keharmonisannya.
