Abstract

This study aims to explain the concept of the relativity of human lifespan in order to present a balanced understanding between divine predestination and human effort, while also addressing the assumption of a contradiction between the texts of the Qur’an and the hadith. The study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach and descriptive analysis to explain the findings. The findings indicate that, according to Ibn ‘Ashur, the notion of increase and decrease in lifespan in Surah Fatir verse 11. It shows that such expressions do not indicate any change in Allah’s eternal decree, but rather represents the realization of his will, which always operates in accordance with His knowledge. Human actions such as charity and maintaining family ties are not understood as factors that alter destiny or literally extend lifespan, but instead as signs that Allah has already known and willed the length of a person’s life trought these means. Furtheremore, this article emphasizez that human effort retains its value and significance without negating the certainty of divine knowledge. Inthis way, the study affirms a balanced theological perspective while also opening space for further conceptual discussion on destiny in relation to the realities of contemporary society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the educational leadership patterns of KH MA Sahal Mahfudh (Kiai Sahal) at three Islamic institutions: Pesantren Maslakul Huda (PMH) Kajen, Pati, Perguruan Islam Mathali’ul Falah (PIM) Kajen, Pati,, and Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama (UNISNU) Jepara. The research uses a qualitative method, combining library research with field research through interviews and observations. Data were analyzed using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) framework with historical and sociological approaches. The results show that Kiai Sahal implemented a collective-participatory-transformational leadership style, breaking the tradition of centralized kiai authority by delegating power to subordinates. Crucial policies include the formation of the Pesantren-Owned Business Entity (BUMP) for financial independence at PMH, the consistency of the "Independent Curriculum" at PIM which rejects national standardization to maintain religious depth,The study concludes that Kiai Sahal’s leadership is an effective prototype for modernizing Islamic education, successfully integrating religious excellence (akram) and social competence (shalih) to ensure institutional resilience and relevance in the global era

Abstract

The Islamic Religious Education (IRE) curriculum plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character in the contemporary era. This study aims to examine the concepts and foundations of IRE curriculum development and to analyze the challenges of its implementation. A qualitative method was employed using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, drawing on sources from DOAJ, Scopus, and Google Scholar spanning the years 2019–2026. The findings indicate that the PAI curriculum possesses a strong conceptual foundation, encompassing the integration of the tauhid paradigm, modern curriculum theory, and psychological, sociological, and legal approaches. However, implementation in the field still faces challenges such as an overemphasis on cognitive aspects, limited digital literacy among teachers, and a gap between instructional design and actual teaching practices. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen integrative and contextual implementation strategies so that the PAI curriculum can shape character and internalize Islamic values holistically.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of Islamic ecology as the basis of the Adiwiyata School curriculum at SMPN 5 Kota Kediri and its transformative impact on students' pro-environmental behavior. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive model (data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing). The results indicate that: (1) Eco-theological values (such as Tawhid, Khalifah, Ihsan, and anti-Fasad) are holistically integrated into general subjects and actualized in practical projects, including the production of eco-bricks, eco-printing, and pokja liquid fertilizer; (2) This theological internalization effectively overcomes cultural and structural barriers by shifting student motivation from extrinsic compliance (fear of school rules) to intrinsic-spiritual awareness (worship and divine mandate). The novelty of this research demonstrates that Islamic ecology can be inclusively operationalized in public secondary schools, deconstructing the binary separation between applied science and theology. In conclusion, an eco-theology-based Adiwiyata curriculum is crucial in shaping a persistent and sustainable pro-environmental habitus

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the "make-a-match" cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 163 Palembang. The population of this study was all third-grade students at SDN 163 Palembang. The sampling technique used random sampling, where 57 students were drawn from two classes to determine the control and experimental classes. The data collected in this study consisted of student learning outcomes obtained from pretest and posttest tests administered to third-grade students at SDN 163 Palembang. Data analysis used an independent sample t-test, meaning a two-sample unpaired test. The analysis showed a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, thus rejecting H0 and accepting Ha. Thus, the implementation of the Make-A-Match cooperative learning model has an impact on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 163 Palembang

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Academic Aspect and Non-Academic Aspect on student satisfaction among Muslim undergraduate students at a university in Jakarta. The study employed a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with WarpPLS 6.0. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 238 final-year students selected using purposive sampling. The results indicate that both Non-Academic Aspect and Academic Aspect have positive and significant effects on student satisfaction. These findings suggest that the quality of academic experiences, administrative services, campus facilities, and institutional support play important roles in shaping students’ educational experiences and satisfaction within higher education institutions. Academic quality reflected through lecturer competence, learning processes, and curriculum relevance contributes positively to students’ perceptions of institutional quality.

Abstract

A human milk bank is an institution that collects and distributes donated breast milk to infants in need. Its existence has generated debate in Islamic law regarding milk kinship, lineage, and marriage eligibility. This study aims to analyze and compare the views of Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and Wahbah Az-Zuhaili on the legal status of human milk banks. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive-comparative approach. Data were collected from classical Islamic texts, books, and relevant literature and analyzed using content analysis. The findings reveal that Yusuf Al-Qaradawi permits human milk banks because they provide significant benefits for infants and do not establish milk kinship that would prohibit marriage. In contrast, Wahbah Az-Zuhaili considers them prohibited because they may create uncertainty regarding lineage and mahram relationships due to unclear donor identities.
