Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Amin adalah Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran Dasar berisi tulisan tentang gagasan konseptual, kajian dan penerapan teori, penulisan praktis, dan hasil penelitian pendidikan dan pengajaran sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the mimicry-memorization technique in teaching Arabic vocabulary to second-grade students at an Islamic Elementary School in South Tangerang. Arabic plays an essential role in islamic education, yet it is often perceived as difficult from Indonesian. Therefore, an appropriate teaching technique that aligns with young’s learning characteristics is needed to help them gradually master basic vocabulary. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through unstructured interviews, participant observation, documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the teacher implemented the mimicry-memorization technique through four main stages: listening, imitating, repeating, and memorizing vocabulary. The teacher acted as a language model by providing clear pronounciation examples, while students preated the words collectively. This and reinforced their memory through repetition. However, the study also identified signs of boredom among students and difficulties in memorization when learning lacked engaging media. Therefore, the mimicry-memorization technique should be integrated with visual aids and games to better match the characteristics of elementary learners. When applied creatively, this technique can serve as a relevant and meaningful approach to arabic vocabulary learning in primary education.

Abstract

Character building is a fundamental objective of Islamic education. The classical debate on innate factors (nature) and environmental influences (nurture) in human development has led to the emergence of Convergence Theory, which emphasizes the integration of both aspects. This article aims to examine Convergence Theory from the perspective of Islamic education and analyze its relevance to students’ character formation. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, analyzing educational psychology literature alongside primary Islamic sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Muslim scholars’ thoughts. The findings indicate that the Islamic concept of fitrah aligns with the notion of innate potential, while educational environments family, school, and society play a strategic role in guiding and developing this potential. Integrating Convergence Theory into Islamic education underscores the importance of synergy between innate dispositions and a structured educational environment to develop students with strong faith, noble character, and balanced personalities. Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of digital literacy of classroom teachers in supporting the integration of technology in learning in elementary schools. Technological developments require teachers not only to be able to use digital devices technically, but also to integrate them pedagogically so that learning becomes more effective, interesting, and in accordance with the needs of students. In the context of SD Negeri 12 Bintauna, the use of technology in learning has been carried out, but it still shows differences in the level of mastery, form of utilization, and readiness of teachers. This study aims to examine the dynamics of digital literacy of classroom teachers in integrating technology in learning at SD Negeri 12 Bintauna and identify the forms of technology integration carried out by classroom teachers in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed with stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the digital literacy of classroom teachers is dynamic and develops gradually, but not evenly. Technology is used to find teaching materials, present materials, use visual and video media, communicate, and develop learning administration. It was concluded that technology integration has taken place, but it still needs continuous reinforcement to be more pedagogical, interactive, and student-centered.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of implementing Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in Islamic Religious Education learning at SDN 2 Dalapuli, describe the implementation of CTL components in the learning process, and explain the importance of implementing CTL in supporting meaningful learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the strategy of implementing CTL is carried out through associating the material with the student's real life context, using contextual questions, providing concrete examples, modeling, and reflection. The implementation of the dominant CTL components includes constructivism, questioning, modeling, and reflection, while the components of inquiry, learning community, and authentic assessment have not been optimally applied. The application of CTL in Islamic Religious Education learning at SDN 2 Dalapuli has helped create more contextual, active, and meaningful learning for students. Thus, the CTL implementation strategy needs to continue to be strengthened so that all components of contextual learning can be carried out more completely and systematically.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Differentiated Instruction training on improving the teaching competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in diversity-based learning environments. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving experimental and control groups. The subjects consisted of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers who participated in a Differentiated Instruction training program. Data were collected through observation and questionnaire instruments measuring teachers’ pedagogical and professional competencies before and after the training. Data analysis was conducted using inferential statistical tests to identify significant differences between the two groups. The findings indicate that Differentiated Instruction training has a positive and significant effect on enhancing teachers’ teaching competence, particularly in designing adaptive learning, managing heterogeneous classrooms, and adjusting instructional strategies to meet individual student needs. These results confirm that differentiation-based training is an effective intervention for improving the quality of teaching practices in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. In conclusion, the systematic implementation of Differentiated Instruction training can serve as a strategic approach for teacher professional development and for improving the quality of Islamic primary education that is responsive to student diversity.

Abstract

Generation Alpha, born after 2010, has unique traits as digital natives. They need a different educational system. However, in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) setting, there is a significant gap between students' visual-interactive learning styles and the traditional teaching skills of teachers. Objective: This study aims to look at the learning style traits of generation Alpha, pinpoint the challenges MI teachers face, and create a relevant teacher competency framework for the digital age. Methods: This research uses a qualitative approach through library research, combining various sources related to generation Alpha education and TPACK competency. Results: The findings show that generation Alpha prefers visual learning, has a short attention span, and can multitask, but they are also at risk for character decline and low social empathy. The main challenges for MI teachers include limited digital skills, inadequate infrastructure, and heavy administrative tasks. As a solution, a teacher competency framework was developed, combining Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), Social Constructivism Theory, and the reinforcement of Islamic moral values. Conclusion: Changing teachers from traditional instructors to digital facilitators, who also provide spiritual guidance (digital parenting), is crucial for successful education in today's Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the 5S culture based on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Negeri 2 Selomerto Wonosobo, 2) determine the condition of pluralism attitudes among students before and after the implementation of the 5S culture based on PAI, and 3) analyze how the implementation of this culture fosters pluralism attitudes among students. This study uses a descriptive research type with a qualitative field approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with PAI teachers and students, direct observation at school, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that: 1) the implementation of the 5S culture based on PAI has been integrated into school activities through the habit of morning greetings, smiles, greetings, and moral guidance in PAI learning; 2) students' pluralism attitudes have increased, marked by the ability to work together, positive interactions, and reduced potential for conflict between students; 3) the 5S culture based on PAI contributes to fostering pluralism attitudes through the habit of manners, respect, and inclusive communication. Supporting factors include teacher role models and school habits, while obstacles include external environmental influences and a lack of consistent standards.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role in instilling moral values, particularly birrul walidain, as a foundation for shaping students’ social attitudes and ethics. This study aims to examine the implications of students’ understanding of birrul walidain in Islamic Religious Education learning on the social attitudes and ethics of tenth-grade students at SMA Takhassus Al-Qur’an Wonosobo. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. The research subjects consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers, tenth-grade students, and parents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that students’ understanding of birrul walidain is conceptually adequate but remains largely cognitive and has not been consistently internalized into daily behavior. This understanding significantly influences students’ social attitudes and ethics, as students with better understanding tend to demonstrate respect, empathy, and social responsibility. Therefore, Islamic Religious Education learning should be optimized through role modeling, habituation, and contextual learning to ensure that the value of birrul walidain is reflected in students’ actual behavior.

Abstract

Teachers' strategies have an important role in fostering interest in reading the Qur'an in elementary school students. However, in reality, some students still have less than optimal interest in reading the Quran, necessitating appropriate strategies from teacher. This study aims to analyze teachers' strategies for reading the Qur'an in students at SD Yayasan IBA Palembang and the factors that influence it. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The subjects of the study include PAI teachers, class V students, and school principals. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis goes through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, while the validity of the data is tested using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that teachers' strategies include varied learning strategies, the use of learning media, and the implementation of learning evaluations. Supporting factors include student awareness, parental support, and school support, while inhibiting factors include limited learning time and less than optimal parental roles. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that teacher strategies that are varied, consistent, and supported by the school environment and family are able to increase interest in reading the Qur'an in elementary school students. This research is expected to be a reference for teachers and schools in developing interest in reading the Qur'an in students.

Abstract

Mutual cooperation which is an important part of strengthening character education. However, in fact, the value of mutual cooperation is beginning to erode due to the influence of individualism that is getting stronger. Therefore, the value of mutual cooperation in schools, especially elementary schools, needs to internalize this value from an early age. This study aims to describe teachers' strategies in instilling the values of mutual cooperation through SBdP (Music Arts) learning in Grade III students at Yayasan IBA Palembang Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subjects of the study include Music Arts teachers, grade III students, and school principals. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain comprehensive data. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, while the validity of the data is tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that teachers' strategies in instilling the values of mutual cooperation through SBdP lessons, especially in music arts for grade III students, are carried out through various ways ranging from learning strategies, learning media, and learning evaluation. Supporting factors in the implementation of the strategy include students, parental support, and school support, inhibiting factors include limited learning time, experience playing music, and differences in students' character and social attitudes. Grade III students already have a good character of mutual cooperation seen from togetherness, please help, unity, socialization and family. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that teacher strategies that are designed in a planned and consistent manner are able to instill the values of mutual cooperation in elementary school students. This research can inspire elementary school teachers in instilling the values of mutual cooperation.
