Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Amin adalah Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran Dasar berisi tulisan tentang gagasan konseptual, kajian dan penerapan teori, penulisan praktis, dan hasil penelitian pendidikan dan pengajaran sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of early childhood learning evaluation through a literature review of books, scholarly articles, and official PAUD assessment guidelines. The findings indicate that effective evaluation must utilize authentic assessment methods such as observation, anecdotal records, portfolios, and performance assessments to obtain a comprehensive picture of children's development. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including teachers’ administrative workload, limited evaluation competence, parents’ perceptions that are not aligned with PAUD principles, non-standardized assessment instruments, and insufficient time for proper observation. This study emphasizes the need for improved teacher training, streamlined administrative processes, and strengthened collaboration with parents to ensure that PAUD learning evaluation becomes more optimal and development-oriented.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of physical education learning through gymnastics and games at SD Swasta Muhammadiyah 11 Medan. A qualitative approach was employed using interviews and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that physical education learning is conducted in accordance with the instructional materials, beginning with warm-up or gymnastics activities and followed by various games that encourage students’ active participation. Physical education is one of the subjects most favored by students because it is delivered through play-based activities. Teachers also instill health-related values and assess students based on their activeness, enthusiasm, and cooperation. However, the implementation of learning still faces challenges related to managing diverse student characteristic, indicating the need for adaptive and well-planned instructional strategies to optimize physical education learning.

Abstract

This study examines the concepts of adab and ta'dib in Islamic education and their relevance to character education development in the digital era. Adab and ta'dib are fundamental concepts in Islamic educational tradition developed by scholars such as al-Attas, al-Ghazali, and Ibn Khaldun. The digital era presents new challenges for character education, including moral degradation, technology dependence, and weakening spiritual values. This research employs library research method with descriptive-analytical qualitative approach. The findings indicate that the concept of adab encompasses the formation of external and internal behavior aligned with Islamic values, while ta'dib emphasizes comprehensive educational processes covering intellectual, spiritual, and moral aspects. Both concepts are highly relevant to addressing character education problems in the digital era through integration of spiritual values in learning, strengthening teacher exemplary behavior, and wise technology utilization. Implementation of adab and ta'dib concepts can serve as alternative solutions in building character of digital generation with noble morals, intellectual intelligence, and wisdom in utilizing technology.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic education faces the challenge of dichotomy between intellectual and spiritual development of learners, resulting in fragmented learning that impacts graduate quality. This conceptual article aims to construct a holistic education paradigm from Islamic perspective through harmonization of three fundamental dimensions: cognitive (aqliyah), affective-spiritual (ruhiyah), and psychomotor (jismiyah). Through philosophical-theoretical analysis of tarbiyah syumuliyyah (comprehensive education) concept, this study explores the epistemological foundation of holistic education in classical and contemporary Islamic thought. This study employs conceptual analysis method with hermeneutic approach to primary texts (Qur’an, Hadith) and secondary sources (classical scholars’ works and contemporary Muslim intellectuals). The analysis reveals that Islamic holistic education paradigm is based on the concept of insan kamil (perfect human) which integrates the development of intellect (‘aql) for critical thinking, heart (qalb) for spiritual piety, and body (jism) for practical skills. The integration of these three dimensions forms a dynamic balance reflecting the principle of wasathiyyah (moderation) in education. Recent research confirms the urgency of integrating these three domains in creating meaningful learning and producing graduates who are intellectually competent, spiritually mature, and practically skilled. Theoretical implications of this paradigm include reconstruction of non-dichotomous Islamic education curriculum, development of learning methods that activate all human potentials, and formulation of educational objectives oriented toward forming khalifah fil ardh. This article provides conceptual contribution to the development of Islamic education theory that is responsive to contemporary needs without losing the essence of spiritual values.

Abstract

This study examines the dissemination of moderate Islamic education values through spiritual guidance services to hospital patients using social media platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic in East Java. Patient vulnerability during illness creates opportunities and risks related to religious ideological influence. The research objective is to analyze how hospital spiritual counselors disseminated moderate Islamic education through YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram while maintaining guidance continuity under pandemic health protocols. This qualitative research with library research methodology examined content from RSI A Yani Surabaya and RSI UNISMA Malang during 2020-2021. Data were collected through documentation techniques analyzing 47 YouTube videos, 126 Facebook posts, and 89 Instagram posts. Analysis followed Miles and Huberman's descriptive-analytical framework. Results show spiritual counselors successfully disseminated moderate Islamic education values characterized by tawassuth, ta'adul, and tawazun through digital platforms. YouTube emerged as the primary medium with content demonstrating Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah practices including tawassul. Digital transformation expanded spiritual education reach beyond hospital physical limitations. Research confirms the importance of ensuring moderate ideological orientation among hospital spiritual guidance personnel.

Abstract

The era of digital disruption presents complex challenges for character education, where moral values experience erosion due to massive and prolonged technology exposure. Pesantren as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia possesses a value system that has been tested in forming akhlakul karimah character through fundamental values: sincerity, simplicity, independence, Islamic brotherhood, and freedom. This conceptual article aims to construct a theoretical framework for pesantren values-based character education that is responsive to digital era challenges without losing its spiritual essence. Through conceptual analysis method with critical-hermeneutic approach, this study explores the internalization mechanisms of pesantren values in the context of digital disruption. The analysis reveals that pesantren values have strategic relevance as foundation for character formation in digital era through three mechanisms: first, pedagogical transformation that integrates digital technology with traditional pesantren learning methods without compromising moral values; second, revitalization of habituation system adapted to santri's digital life context; third, strengthening value ecosystem through hidden curriculum and role modeling. Recent research confirms that pesantren successfully integrating traditional values with digital innovation can produce graduates who are morally noble while technologically competent. Theoretical implications include reformulation of character education concept that is non-dichotomous between traditional values and modernity, development of Islamic ethics-based technology integration model, and construction of comprehensive character assessment. This article provides conceptual contribution to sustainable character education development in pesantren in the digital disruption era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Qawaid wa Tarjama (grammar and translation) method in teaching Arabic in pesantren environment, with a case study at Annuqayah University. The Qawaid wa Tarjama method is a traditional approach that focuses on grammar analysis and text translation to build language understanding. This research uses qualitative methods including direct classroom observation, interviews with lecturers and students, and documentation analysis. The results show that this method is effective in improving grammar understanding and enriching student vocabulary. However, the main weakness is the lack of oral communication skills development. The conclusion shows that the Qawaid wa Tarjama method remains relevant in the pesantren context, but needs to be combined with other more communicative methods to achieve more balanced and comprehensive Arabic language learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the trend of wearing hijab among teenagers and its influence on attitudes and behavior in daily social interactions, as well as to identify the factors that encourage female students at MA Keterampilan NW Pancor to wear hijab. The method used in this study is qualitative research through a phenomenological approach, which is a study that seeks to find the essence of meaning from a phenomenon experienced by several individuals. To apply phenomenological research, the researcher chose transcendental phenomenology, in which the researcher attempts to study a phenomenon by setting aside preconceptions about it. The analysis is based on horizontalization, in which the researcher attempts to study the data by highlighting important statements from participants to provide a basic understanding of the phenomenon. The results of the study show that the trend of wearing the hijab among teenagers, especially at MA Keterampilan NW Pancor, and its influence on attitudes and behavior is more positive and it can be concluded that the driving factors influencing female students to wear the hijab are family, personal, and school environment factors. Those who wear the hijab are more polite in their speech and behavior, better at maintaining their composure when interacting with the opposite sex, and more in control of their attitudes and actions, refraining from acts that violate Islamic law. These changes can be seen in terms of their relationship with Allah, themselves, and other fellow human beings.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced students’ behavior and character, requiring adaptive character education strategies without neglecting religious and cultural values. This study aims to analyze strategies for developing students’ character based on religious and cultural values in the digital era at the junior secondary school level. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Kandangan. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the school principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, subject teachers, and students. The findings indicate that character development strategies are implemented in an integrated manner through school culture habituation, religious activities, teacher role modeling, wise use of digital technology, and the support of extracurricular activities. Religious and cultural values are continuously internalized to foster students’ religious character, discipline, responsibility, and social awareness. However, several challenges were identified, including low digital literacy, negative influences of social media, and limited parental supervision. This study concludes that character education based on religious and cultural values remains relevant and effective in the digital era when supported by strong school commitment, exemplary teachers, and synergy between schools and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in an Islamic Integrated Elementary School (SDIT Hasan Sanusi Catakgayam Mojowarno) during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a qualitative approach using a single case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving teachers, school leaders, students, and parents. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has been carried out gradually and systematically by integrating the Pancasila Student Profile with Islamic values, such as faith (tauhid), moral character (akhlak), and Qur’anic memorization. Project-Based Learning (P5) was implemented contextually and contributed to increased student engagement and character development. Supporting factors included teacher training, school leadership commitment, and adequate infrastructure, while constraints were limited funding, varying levels of parental involvement, and teachers’ adaptation in designing contextual learning modules. This study concludes that the Merdeka Curriculum can strengthen Islamic education when implemented flexibly and contextually. The findings contribute theoretically to curriculum implementation studies in Islamic education and practically offer recommendations for Islamic schools in adapting national curriculum reforms.
